Pern Information If you're unfamiliar with Pern or just want to brush up on your knowledge, you should find everything you need to know about the planet and its inhabitants here.
Approved Characters (13 sub-boards) This is where all the current characters go after they have been approved by an admin. After, and only after, you see your character here you may begin roleplaying. Any members who are inactive for a long period of time will have their characters removed from this section and put back into the Pending Characters board.
Pending Characters (3 sub-boards) This is where you may post your character profiles to be approved. Once they are approved they will be moved into the Accepted Characters board above. While your character is in the board, you may not roleplay in any of the Rocky Weyr areas, however the General and Important sections are free for you to utilize.
Character Profiles This is where you can post your in-depth character profile. These are used for organizing the threads your characters are in, their dragons/whers and flitter, perhaps their pets, important dates and other such information. Makes things easier than searching the Accepted Characters forum just to update your character.
Main Hall (1 sub-board) The main hall is compromised of three rooms inside the mountain, partially separated by wide arches. The dining room is in the center, filled with long tables and benches. To the left is the kitchen, filled wall to wall with appliances and food preparation space. To the right is the pantry where all the non-perishable food items are stored, along with other necessary supplies.
Weyrs (1 sub-board) Unlike on Pern, Rocky Weyr has a separate weyr for each individual beast and bonded. These contain a full bed, dresser, storage chest, a full bathroom, a writing desk and chair, as well as ample room for a dragon to walk about and a raised bed for them. These can be further customized by the individual rider.
Hallways, Closets, & Storage Rooms This is a collective board for all the corridors, passageways, and random closet space around the Weyr. Getting it on in the closets is frowned upon.

Infirmary The infirmary is where both rider and dragon can come to get patched up. There are cabinets along one wall filled with banages, medicine, syringes, and other necessary medical supplies. A series of small beds line up across another wall for riders who need constant care. The third wall has raised dragon beds along it, for any ailing dragons, as well as a gold-sized entrance leading outside.
Common Room This room is located in the middle of the Weyr, nearby the Dining Hall and the Hatching Sands. It's filled with nice couches and chairs all centered around a large fireplace. Of course, on the other side of that fireplace is an enormous flat screen and an array of gaming consoles for your entertainment.
Library This is the library and/or records room. It is filled with both Pernese and Earthian literature, medical books, and histories.. to name a few. There are many comfy couches, rugs, and coffee tables to lounge in. The librarian is quite strict and punishes those who disturb the library's sanctity.
Hatching Grounds The hatching grounds are deep within the thickest part of the mountain, connected to the main Weyr by tunnels and staircases, and to the sky by a wide dragon tunnel whose entrance is near the very top of the mountain. The arena is circular and the walls taper down to the center covered in benches for spectators. The center of the large room is partially walled off and covered in sand, kept warm by a hot spot of magma under the mountain. Up in the dome of the Hatching Grounds large perches are carved out for even the biggest of Rocky Weyrs dragons.
Weyrbowl The Weyrbowl proper is a flat expanse of stone carved right out of the mountain, surrounded by the Weyr itself. However, a wide staircase tapers down to the area of the mountain where more foliage is able to grow. A similar flat piece of land is sectioned off here and is covered with low-lying grass, shrubs and a sprinkling of conifers. Yet another staircase leads down to a valley with the Weyr's lake surrounded by lusher foliage.
Terra's Tear The lake, named Terra's Tear, can be found in a valley below the weyr. All around the sides of the lake, lush foliage grows, nurtured by the fertile soil and constant supply of water. This is a popular spot for riders to bathe their dragons, and go for a swim when the weather is warm. To the side of the lake, are the feeding grounds.
Feeding Grounds The Feeding Grounds are located to the side of the lake. Large pens contain all the Weyr's livestock that are available for the dragons to eat. The permanent livestock, like horses, and breeding pairs of all the animals, are kept off to the side in a large wooden stable, safe from hungry dragons.
The Skies The skies above the Rockies are free to use by dragons, as the closest human inhabitants have been briefed by the government about the dragons. Mating Flights, patrols, and leisurely strolls through the clouds all take place here.
Towns There are very few inhabitants of the hills and valleys around the Rockies, but some very small towns do flourish nearby.

Wilderness The wilderness around the Rockies and the neighboring towns is vast and quite dangerous to those unexperienced. Bears, moose, elk, and a myriad of other animals suited for semi-mountain life make their homes here. A modest log cabin or two might also be found scattered amidst the forest.

Sister Weyrs
Isle Weyr (5 sub-boards) Isle Weyr is located on an uncharted island not far from Japan yet registered to be in Japanese waters. Isle was created after Rocky by about two years, and has a significantly lower population. In fact they have only one Gold in residence at this Weyr. It is currently led by Green Rider Aurora and Brown Rider Tamahome.
Weyrs All the Weyrs of Pern will be found here. Fort, Benden, High Reaches, Telgar, Ista, Igen, and Southern. Make sure to specify which Weyr you're at in the title of your post.
Holds All the Holds of Pern will be found here. Fort, Ruatha, Southern Boll, Benden, Bitra, Lemos, High Reaches, Nabol, Tillek, Keroon, Ista, Igen, Nerat, Telgar, Crom, Southern, Paradise River, and Cove. Make sure you specify which Hold you're at in the title of your post.

Earth has survived its disasterous journey through the black hole.There have been many fatalities, and most cities have been destroyed. Survivors are emerging from everywhere, struggling to adapt to this new life. They have come out of the black hole right next to Pern! It seems the Earth has steadied itself into orbit around the Pernese Sun. But the Red Star is within sight of both Pern and Earth. What could this change mean for the solar system? What will the Pernese do now that Earth is their neighbor? What does this change mean for the Dragons?
The Weyrs have managed to get back on their feet. Search parties are going out to find as many survivors as possible. Everyone is being welcomed into the Weyr, and a few riders have started working on setting up a hold nearby. They are also on the look out for Candidates, preparing for Gold Proudeth's maiden flight. But with the Red Star obvious in the skies, what could this bode for the Weyrs?
