Appearance: Kima is a small (5'0"), awkward looking girl with raven black hair and pale ivory skin. Her usually downcast eyes are large and perfectly black.Her bone structure makes her, at times, look like an over grown baby bird, all sharp and sticking out at odd angles. She does, of course, have a perfectly normal bone structure, and she is most definately a human being.

Base Personality: subservient, feminine, quiet, shy
History: Kima's parents met in Tokyo. Her mother, Kurani, was helping her two younger brothers wait thier father's club when the young Englishman caught her eyes, and she his. She was nineteen, past her traditionalist mother's 'suitable marrying age' limits. A hired matchmaker had yet to find a suitible spouse for the girl. Kima's father was a typical tourist, she thought, truthfully not noteworthy. Something did, however keep pher thoughts on him.
It was in fact, because he had been coming almost every open night for months.
They began to talk, became friends, and for nearly two years they went on like this until finally he proposed. She said yes, but her parents did not give their consent. Her mother was furious, saying she had raised her better, fit to be a lord's wife. kurani had been raised in certain disciplines that had worked enough so that she, as well as other moms in the fute, would be called Tiger Mothers.
Eventually Kurani just left with Mike Trace. She married, and moved in with him in his apartment in Cornwall, Great Britain.
Two years later, Kima was born with her twin brother, William. Mother chose Kima, father chose William.
Kima was homeschooled while Will was sent to boarding school. Kurani trained her, quite forcefully at times, to be smart, graceful, mature, and subservient. She was her own mother reborn.
Kima accepted what she was taught, and had little arguement. It was her nature to be subservient, and she had no qualms about the rest.
It was, in fact, Will who found the egg. He often found odd things for the shy, quiet sister at home, and would bring her stones, knots of roots, egg shells, and even the occasional unhatched egg. She had once raised a finch when it hatched in her bedroom before she let it go free. He only thought that it was a larger bird egg when he brought it home, perhaps stolen from a animal sanctuary or zoo and dumped. About two weeks later, a very snug egg hatched as a fifteen year old girl dressed for the day.
As the thing attached itself to her, she ran downstairs, panicking. When Kurani saw the dragon attached to her daughter's arm, she flung the sausages she was cooking at her, screaming at her to sit down lest it disappear.
By the time the thing was satiated, the Trace family had little meat left to give it.
She was charged with raising it after she told Kurani about the egg. After a few days, she began calling the dragon Ouji, or prince, after he showed his demanding, imperial nature by ordering her around, making sure he had the best of everything.
A month and a half later, a man showed up on the doorstep claiming to be a dragon rider. He explained what the dron, or firelizard, really was and what it meant, Finally, after ages of telling the long tale, he finally invited her to Rocky or Isle Weyr. Unfamiliar with the task of choosing a life-changing path, she looked to her parents. When Mike demanded proof, the man laughed and pointed at Ouji, and than told him to go outside and look up. Sure enough, far above, a much larger dragon swung about lazilly on the winds.
It was enough for Kurani, and it is very hard to say no to her. Kima would go to Isle, back to Japan. The girl had only ever been there once, for the funeral of her grandfather after he had died of cancer.
Two weeks later, she arrived at the small island Weyr.
