Hey everyone! Topaz here, the resident spriter of Rocky Weyr! Just wanted to lay down a few basic ground rules and FAQ's to make sure there are as little problems as possible here. ^-^
RULES
Proboards and Cbox ToS must always be adhered to.
Be kind and courteous to all members, including staff, or we will between you to the outer reaches of space.
No double posting. Exceptions would be things like art or writing threads in the Discussions & Sharing board. Otherwise, the edit button is your friend.
No inappropriate posts, links, or ads. If you are discussing a controversial topic in the Discussions & Sharing board, please put any images or articles that might be disturbing to others in link form and clearly include something to the effect of, Warning: Contents of link may contain disturbing materials. ..immediately adjacent to it. Furthermore, any obviously controversial discussions should be labeled as such in their title.
To go along with the rule above, discussions of a controversial nature will likely become somewhat heated when the debaters are passionate in their opinions. This is understandable and expected, but keep your responses respectful and impersonal so as not to hurt any feelings.
No chatspeak. Definitely no.
No cursing outside of IC posts, with the exceptions of Pernese maledictions.
To help members keep track of characters, all the staff requires is that there be a list of your characters in your signature, either graphically represented, or text-based.
Be as literate as possible. Think your posts through before posting, and try to make each one something you can be proud of. And remember.. spellcheck is your friend!
No power-posting. Meaning, you should wait at least two days for everyone who is participating in a thread to respond and react to what has gone on so far. After that, unless there are extenuating circumstances, you can post again and continue on. Do try not to leave anyone behind.
No god-modding. Which means - but is not limited to - controlling another person's character, ignoring/changing/adding an action or event in/to another member's post, and making a drastic action and moving on without giving the other characters time to react or respond.
No mind reading. This means that if another character's thoughts are described in their post, do not post as if your character knows what they were thinking just because you yourself know. It's just silly.
Metallics are special colors, and should be treated as such. Asking for your candidate to Impress a metallic, or asking to create one is strictly forbidden. The staff will decide on if we need more metallic colors or not. Even then, we will only take the best of the best, so make profiles count.

While I(Topaz) created and keep up maintenance for this site, the spinoff story line and plot are copyright to FaizahPandora.
Rocky Weyr is on Earth, not Pern.
Restricted Colors: Gold dragons/whers/flits, bronze dragons/flits, white dragons/whers/flits. No more of these colors will be accepted, don't bother asking for them. This will hold true until either one of said limited creatures are moved to another Weyr, or dies.
Any full grown dragon, weyrling, or flit that you acquire must be accompanied by a hex color code on it's appropriate profile. This is so I can extract it and use it for the various lists around the site.
Any full grown dragon, weyrling, or flit must also have a date of birth somewhere in its description. This is used to keep track of which creatures are sexually mature and ready to Rise/Chase. All that is needed is the month and year, any additional information is up to you.
This will be amended if need be. Changes/additions will be in yellow for about a weeks time for easy recognition, before being integrated as a regular part of the rules.
