((Jesus! this took WAY too long! X/ ))
It was just past high noon and Quith had been resting in the Weyrbowl for a few hours. She lay sprawled in the almost exact middle of the Bowl where there were no shadows to block the sun. Her wings were spread to catch the delicious rays and her head was lolled to the side to feel the heat on her cheek.
Suddenly, Jas popped into the air next to her. As he bugled in greeting, he showed Quith a picture of Shasta and feelings of 'ok-edness' and then landed on her now upright head. The little she-dragon sent him imploring thoughts asking him to stay with her a little while. She liked having a set of eyes with her.
Laying her head back on the grass, she sent an image to Shasta of utter contentment. She wanted to make sure Hers didn't worry over her too much. Her shy bonded really as concerned about her an unnecessarily large amount. This was actually the first time she had even let the dragon out of her sight for any length of time.
Out of nowhere she was overcome with an urge. Jumping to her feet, she shook of the last shreds of lethargy and started bouncing with excitement. She wanted to play. Requesting an image of her surroundings from the displaced Jas, she prepared for a game of tag with her little companion. But before she could make even one bound she was interrupted by large THUMP! and the scent of a Bronze.
Quith asked the now perturbed Jas for an image and found that there was a man getting down from a rather large Bronze dragon. The small green bugled a greeting at the Large-One. But he didn't seem to hear, because there was no response. She cocked her head to the side in confusion and trilled at the stranger to try and get his attention.
"Sorry, littleling. But Yuirth here," at that there was a thumping sound as if he were slapping the big dragon's hide, "is a deaf. He cant hear you no matter how loud you bellow." A pause. During that moment, Quith asked Jas for another image. The man had his hand on his dragon's leg and he seemed to be lost in thought. He must have been talking to His. Then the bronze stooped down and crooned gently at the green saying, Hello, as mineNomics said, i cannot hear. I am also unable to smell. I apologize for not responding when you said hello. I thought i felt something, through the ground, but i couldn't be sure. He paused seeming to be thinking about something. I see that you are blind. Together we would make an interesting pair, no? All we need now is a dragon that cannot taste and we would be a complete set. He rumbled a laugh at his little joke. He paused again. How rude of me! I have been telling you my life story while you sit here not able to get a word in edgewise! As custom dictates, i ask you of your health and that of Yours. And also your little friend there. He stopped, waiting patiently for her reply.
While the large bronze named Yurith spoke, she was calmed by the deep resounding sound of his thoughts as well as his relatively slow speech. She realized that his slowness was not caused by a lack of intelligence, but by his desire to say things properly and clearly to get his point conveyed exactly.
No worries, she consoled, I am called Quith and am doing wonderfully from my nap, thanks. and Mine, called Shasta, seems to be doing just as well as I at the moment. She also appears to be talking to someone. Jas, the blue, is... She stopped, as if conversing with the flitt. Haha. Jas is feeling...frisky is the word, i believe. She asked Jas for yet another look. Now the man seemed to be studying her, slightly stooped over for a better look. She, being a mischievous green, shot forward about a foot while asking Jas for his reaction. She heard a shout of surprise and and a soft thump as he hit the ground. She rumbled lightly as he began laughing at the obvious antics and friendliness of the Small-One.
Jas, feeling that Quith was safe with a bronze, decided it was time to go back to his new friends. He let his charge know by showing a picture of the grounds, and then was gone.

Nomics liked this little green the moment he saw her. Her small frame and delicate contours brought one word to his mind. 'cute'. This was the cutest little dragon he had ever encountered. He asked Yurith to bring them down to meet this New-One he had yet to meet. Yurith agreed that it would be pleasant to introduce themselves to the little female. When they touched down, Nomics could see that the Cute-Thing had no eyes. But even this malformation seemed to work for her. If it wouldn't seem so rude, he would say that she really pulled it off.
When they landed with a thump, Nomics jumped down. As he made his decent as gracefully as possible, he heard the little lady bugle a greeting to His. When Yurith didn't respond, she cocked her head, looking a perplexed as a blind dragon could manage. He tried to smother a laugh at her comical appearance and, thankfully, succeeded.
"Sorry, littleling. But Yuirth here," he slapped the dragon's side in recognition, "is a deaf. He cant hear you no matter how loud you bellow." Then he paused, relaying the she-dragons hello and his response to Yurith. Nomics knew that the dragon could take it from there, he being the smartest and most polite Bronze he had ever met.
While the dragons conversed, Nomics studied the blue flitter. He was obviously his little dragon's 'protector'. Looking over his deep blue hide and mildly orange eyes, he decided that he liked him. He seemed a lively fellow. He then began watching the expressive green. For having no eyes, she conveyed her feelings very well. As he half listened to their conversation, he noted that she slowly began taking a more relaxed stance, as if she was becoming more comfortable with this new dragon. He chuckled as Yurith realized he was rambling and then asked after the green's health.
When he went back to studying the sightless female, he subconsciously leaned forward. Suddenly, he was astounded by the littleling's brash 'assault'. He shouted and fell over, then began laughing when he realized she was playing. I believe the phrase is, 'she got you good', no? Yurith said to him, obviously amused as well. Oh, you... Nomics replied blithely.

Nakia walked out her Weyr and down to the Weyr Bowl to see two dragons and a man there. The little dragon was a green with no eyes... She couldn't remember the dragon names well. But upon closer inspection she noticed the little green had no eyes. A chill ran down her spine at the thought of never being able to see the beauty around her... She looked at her own dragon, Isath, who was also considered a green. Nakia knew better though; that Isath's gold sister lay dormant inside. The gold part of Isath was shown in the rosettes on her hide, and they made a beautiful conterpart against the green of her hide. Without another thought Nakia led Isath forward, towards the other green and what Faizah called a bronze.
Nakia waited for the man to fall backwards at the green's lunge before she approached, offering her hand. "Hello, I am Nakia. That is my green gold Isath." She gave him her most winning smile, thinking him cute.

There was a rather resounding clap of displaced air as Ari and Dracouth came out from between. The change in temperature made the small woman shiver as Dracouth began his descent to the weyrbowl. The brown's striped hide was bright in the light, though Ari could see the beginnings of stormclouds off in the distance. Dracouth is arrived! I bear mine; greetings to Surth and Gorth! The brown called his greetings to the Weyrleading dragons, a habit to ingrained for him to give up now. Besides, it wasn't as if anyone else could hear him.
The wind bit into her bare arms, and she leaned forward along the support of her brown's strong neck. Ari let herself lean slightly to one side, peering at the landscape below as the dragon spiraled down to the ground. She could feel the rumble of laughter in his chest as he dipped to one side abruptly, causing her to yelp and roll her weight to the other side. Dracouth just sent her another warm rumble and dropped lower.
He swept over the large bronze and the pair of greens below, calling out to them with a muted bugle- both dragon and rider were well aware of the Weyrwoman's restriction on their noises. Dracouth backwinged to a landing carefully, landing on his hindlegs and dropping to all fours with a thump and a soft grunt. Ari waited for him to crouch slightly before sliding down his foreleg and dropping to the ground. The brown snuffled her hair affectionately, and she thumped his foreleg in a halfhearted way. "Stop that, you."
She paused a moment, and regarded the situation with some amusement; she'd arrived just in time to see the small eyeless green knock the bronzerider over, and she laughed softly. She strode over, lifting a hand in greeting to him and the girl who appeared to be helping him up. She paused a few feet away, tilting her head to one side curiously. That bronze looked almost familiar...well. Judging by his size, he was likely one of the two or three elder riders who'd been sent to Rocky recently.
Dracouth had been stretching, but he tilted his head to one side, and sniffed the air. Standing straight, he narrowed his gaze and looked around him, eyes finally stopping on the green with the rosettes of gold. He stared for a moment, then sniffed the air again. Yes...it was her. She seemed like your average green...but he tasted just the slightest hint of gold under her scent. He was perplexed, and he twitched the end of his tail back and forth in annoyance.
Little one, what is it I smell on you? He asked, speaking to the strange green. My apologies. Greetings to all. Great Bronze, Little sightless one, and one-with-spots, it is a pleasure to meet you. I do not believe we have previously met.
Ari glanced up at him, frowning. She'd half been hoping to go by unnoticed, but the big brown seemed to have ruined that. And she knew damn well she had no chance of getting back to her weyr if Dracouth wanted to stay- blasted thing was built just like their one at home, and she couldn't reach it without wings. Also...she'd probably end up at the bottom of the lake. Dracouth glanced down at her and arched his neck nobly. Do not be ridiculous. You can swim perfectly well. You would end up on top of the lake.

Nomics was assailed by people! As if his buttox where a button, that if pressed procured beings out of the ether, when he fell, fifty (he likes to exaggerate) people popped out of nowhere almost simultaneously. The first to come within speaking distance was a young blond. She had a lovely green that had gold rosettes along her back and legs. She proffered her hand to him in either greeting, help or both. He decided that the ground was a lovely place to be and so merely reached up to give the offering a firm shake.
"Hello, I am Nakia. That is my green gold Isath."
Ahhh. that explains the coloration. He thought to both himself and yurith. She smiled sweetly at him and he grinned back. Continuing with the pleasantries, he said, "I, my dear, am Nomics. Rider of Bronze Yurith here." He stuck his thumb back to indicate the only bronze in the area. "And i must say it is a pleasure to meet you." He nodded his head once, for emphasis. "And how, may i ask, are you this fine afternoon?"
He scratched at an itch in his black curls absently as he looked over at a striped Brown that had recently touched down. He is big enough to be an adult. Maybe we knew him back on Pern. Yurith speculated. Oh, he sends us greetings, Nomics. Greetings, Brown! I am called Yurith. And mine rider is called Nomics. From where do you hail? You seem to be longer acquainted with Pern than these younglings.
Nomics, all the while, was watching the dragon's Rider. He decided to be friendly with this new person. Still on the ground, he began waiving ridiculously, shouting, "Hey, you! Why don't you come over here so we can greet each other properly!"

Isath inclined her head to the brown that had just landed. Greeting to you as well. I am Isath, and what you smell is my gold sister. She is also Isath. This is Mine, Nakia, sister to the Weyrwoman.
Nakia smiled at Nomics. "I am fine this afternoon. Yourself?"

Dracouth peered at the green-gold for a moment more, then seemed satisfied. I see. It is my honor to meet you, then, Isath. He swung his head around and looked to the bronze, sitting back on his haunches and raising one forepaw in a greeting. Greetings to Yurith and his. I am Dracouth, and mine is Arianne. You are correct that we are not from this place; We hail from Ista, though we belong to Rocky now. Dracouth subtly nudged Ari with his leg, pushing her forward.
She made a startled noise, and tentatively waved back to the bronzerider on the ground. Alright, so he seemed friendly enough...still. She cleared her throat and walked forward, folding her arms behind her back in a rather stiff way, and wincing as her left arm was stretched- damn, but that still hurt. "Erm. Hello? Nice to...er. Meet you, I suppose. Nomics, right? That's what you bronze said, I mean. Um. Yes."
Dracouth just rumbled happily, and walked over to Yurith. Ignore her. She is very stupid sometimes. He regarded the young woman by the green, and bowed his head. And excuse us if we are interrupting, sister-of-the-weyrwoman Nakia and Isath.

Quith smelled the Girl and Hers from a distance, so when they came over she was not too surprised. When the girl said that Hers was a Green/Gold, Quith was able to comprehend the strange smell of the other dragon. Trying to be polite and make friends, she greeted the new dragon, saying, Hello Green/Gold, I am called Quith. It is good to meet you.
When the Brown came over he acknowledged all present, saying, 'My apologies. Greetings to all. Great Bronze, Little sightless one, and one-with-spots, it is a pleasure to meet you. I do not believe we have previously met.'
She responded a little late, saying,Hello, my name is Quith. Mine rider is elsewhere, but her name is Shasta. it is nice to meet you too. ---
The girl continued smiling at him, saying, "I am fine this afternoon. Yourself?"
"I am doing WONDERFULLY, thanks. Meeting new people always brightens my day." Nomics stated jovially.
The brown walked over to Yurith and said, referring to His,'Ignore her. She is very stupid sometimes.'
Mine is just the same, Yurith agreed, looking up to the heavens and shaking his head to show how hopeless Humans were.
Nomics gave a lopsided grin at the Brown Riders' awkwardness. "That liar." he paused, shaking his head in mock disdain, "My name is REALLY Mavistal... Really. I swear..." He paused trying to keep his trickery from showing. "And i believe yours is Arianne, as Yurith here has informed me from your delightful Brown." The final part he said as he looked up lovingly at his Bronze. Turning back to the Rider he complained, "Oh, what i wouldn't give right now for a nice hot cup of..." chocolate, Yurith broadcasted to all assembled. "No, silly. I was going to say Coffee! Though liquid chocolate does sound delicious..." The Bronze continued, saying to everybody, Also, I do not appreciate being called a liar falsely. That would make YOU a liar. MAVISTAL. "Ok, Ok" he said, raising his hands in defeat, "You got me. I really am called Nomics. But its just so FUN to have a different name with each person."
If Nomics hadn't done tricks like these before, the Bronze would have been furious. But since he did these things daily, he had come to take them in stride and merely show his displeasure to His to make him stop. However, it was amusing to inform those His had confused that His was a silly goose.

You are not interrupting, great Dracouth. And greetings to you, Green Quith. Isath said. She rather like this large male.
Nakia smiled at the jesting between Nomics and his great bronze, Yurith. She glanced tenderly at Isath before returning her attention to Nomics and Arianne. "Nice to meet both of you."

Ari smiled and laughed slightly. "Oh yes. Being verbally abused by my dragon is just what I live for. Though you are correct as to my name...Mister Mavistal-Nomics." She said, smiling up at Dracouth, who simply hummed quietly and pretended as if he hadn't heard her. She tapped her hands on her thighs, thinking. "You know, I must agree. I think it would be interesting to have a different name. I'm rather fond of 'Cassandra', actually."
Dracouth made an amused noise at his bonded and glanced back at Isath. Silly girl. But I am glad to hear that, Isath. And it is a pleasure to meet you as well, little Quith. He said, sounding quite genuinely thrilled to have been introduced.
Ari let her attention snap back to the young woman who'd spoken indirectly to her and the bronzerider, in time to catch the look she sent towards her dragon. It never fails to strike a chord within me to see the way a weyrling looks at her bonded. She commented silently to Dracouth. The brown glanced at her affectionately, and replied I agree. It makes me remember the day I chose you, my love. The dragon's thoughts were riddled with tendrils of almost overwhelming love, and Ari smiled and ran her hand along his foreleg warmly. Best day of my life, you big brown monster.
She suddenly seemed to remeber she had sort of been about to speak aloud. "Oh. Yes, Um...Nakia? Pleause to meet you as well."

((please note that as i write this i am tired and not able to comprehend if i spell things correctly or make any sense whatsoever)) [[AHHH! *facepalm* i just realized that it Faiza's turn to post!!!! ummm... is it ok if i leave it here? then when Faiza posts i'll copy it, delete it, then post it again underneath (with the necessary modifications)]]
desiring to lessen the formality of everything, Nomics smiled sweetly at all present and said, "now that we have concluded with the pleasantries, what should we do?" He paused with a look of intense thought. "maybe tag? soccer?? rugby?!?!" As he listed off possibilities that became more and more ridiculous, his face became brighter and brighter. "oooo! that would be delightful! nothing says 'lets be friends' like a good old fashioned game of rugby." At that he nodded sagely for the imparted bit of wisdom.Mine, i believe that you may need to add a straitjacket to your wardrobe. And i mean that with the highest regard and respect. "Oh Yurith, you." Nomics answered out loud. Then he sighed dramatically. "It seems you don't know me as well as i thought you did." He looked up with feigned sadness at his bronze beastie and shook his head. "I loves you lots, but you should know by now that im jutht a thilly gooth." He slapped His on his nearest leg and, giving a smile dismissing everything he had said to his poor companion, turned back to the others. He paused, looking everyone in the eyes, then slapped his hands together loudly and said, "So, what'll it be?" --- Quith liked meeting new people. Especially when she wasn't the strangest one there. But she especially liked when the new people were as charasmatic as this Nomics and His Yurith were. The things they said just made her want to laugh! She decided to let Hers in on her good time. Mine! i have met many new people! and they are so nice! and now one wants to play a game! I like it here.I am very glad of that, MineQuith. I hope you have lots of fun! Do you want me to come? or Jas? so you can see, when they play? It amused Quith how much Hers worried over her. But it also made her feel special, in a way. No, its fine! well, i may call Jas... and you can come if you want! I think you would like them. Well, alright. I'll come down in a little while, oke-day? Over and out.

((It's fine Phyr. Just fix up your post when you next get on. ^-^))
Nakia smiled, then made her own suggestion. "Soccer sounds awesome. Even though I would prefer baseball." She smiled at the thought. She had once been on the best-dressed baseball team in her first grade teeball team. It was an awesome time in her opinion.

Arianne was so taken aback by the bronzerider's ridiculousness that she couldn't help but burst out laughing. She couldn't stop, either. Dracouth snorted in surprise and looked around in confusion from dragon to rider in turn, sending puzzled looks to evetryone in turn. I am quite afraid my Arilove may have come down with a terrible illness! She says she can't breathe! The brown's eyes began to whirl with a confused orange, when Ari flopped over onto his foot, giggling like a madwoman.
"I'm- hah- okay, Couthie." She stammered, then fell back onto the grass, flat on her back. "I'm just laughing. Hard. It's something humans do, remember?" She waved a hand at Nakia and Nomics, the let it fall back with a osft thump. "I'll play any game you all wish. But ther'es just one problem." Another laugh escaped her. "I've never even heard of any of those games."

Leaning over the incapacitated Brown Rider, Nomics asked in earnest apprehension, "Did... did i break you?"
When she showed signs of imminent survival, Nomics relaxed. She would be able to play games with them after all. This was going to be fun, fun, fu-
"I've never even heard of any of those games."
Nomics nearly died of a heart attack, he even went into borderline shock. "Wha- What did you say? Did you just tell me that you have never heard of these super awesome, perfectly brutal games?" He hid his face in his hands for the lack of privilege this person must have had as a child. But then something dawned on him. No, he did not realize that she was Pernese. He simply thought of a horribly dangerous and foolhardy way to fix this 'problem'. "Well, then i guess that we shall simply have to play them all. At the same time." And that was that.

Nakia looked at Nomics with horror. "Play them all at the same time? But she couldn't possibly learn each sport when we play them at the same time... My head is spinning from the thought..." Nakia shook her head vehemently.
Isath looked between the three humans, confused as to their behaviour. Then she looked at her fellow dragons with whirling yellow eyes of confusion. What exactly are they doing? She asked.
