Gaspeth soared through the skies, grumbling and upset because he couldnt attend the lessons. He made it up to himself by doing a few aerial tricks. Pure joy flowed through him at the feel of the air over his hide and he took a nose dive, pulling up at the last minute and bugling out loudly. Oh, the sky looks lovely today!

Relanth rose up into the air from his favorite spot near the lake. He spotted another blue and trilled to him.
"Greetings fellow Blue! I am Relanth, and my rider, Tahli, is in lessons with a purple haired boy in her lap. She is so weird sometimes!

There was a thunderous rumble of growling as a large dark shape slid over the blues. Dracouth was laughing.
The big striped brown lcosed his wings and dropped like a stone until he reached their altitude, then snapped out his wings with a soft grunt of effort and leveled out again. Greetings, blue ones! You look like you are enjoying this fine day. Especially you, fancy one! He said to Gaspeth. I am envious of the unrivaled agility of blues.
He swiveled to one side, and laughed at Relanth. Yes, the humans can be very strange...I think mine is lost again. But she does that a lot.

Gaspeth back-winged, hovering in the air to look at the other dragons. Such a wonderous day for flying! Mineown took to lessons without me, so Im cheering myself up with a nice view of the sky. Gaspeth commented to the other dragons. Suddenly he gasped in fright, his eyes whirling red as he looked, horrified, at nothing. He froze for a moment, losing altitude before regaining his composure and rejoined the others. His small bulk shuddered for a moment and he looked around once more.

Relanth trilled with pride at the brown's comment. Relanth did an inverted loop to spin just to show his agility!
"Minesoul says I will end up the size of a small brown, but I will still have my agility! It is nice to have compliments instead of scorn for once."
(OOC: Relanth is referring to the dragons at High Reaches scolding him for freaking out at the mention of Thread)

Dracouth laughed again, a low rumble of a sound.
Size is nothing to be ashamed of! He said, casting his head back to nod at his own rather large bulk. Or did you mean something else?
A movement from the corner of his eye caught his attention, and he glanced back at Gaspeth. Are you alright? His eyes swirled a concerned yellow-orange. The great brown worried for a moment, fearing the little blue might have a seizure-related disorder like himself, but when the darker blue seemed to suffer no ill effects, he relaxed once more.

Relanth sighed and hovered next to the brown.
"No. I have an accute fear of Pern's silver menace. I would panic at the mere mention of it. It got me frowned upon."
The bigger blue flapped up to Gaspeth and trilled quietly.
"Are you okay, Gaspeth?"

J'kent rode Marith as she swooped in acrobatic stunts across the cool near-autumn sky. To think we were offered the chance to come here, above all of the others that would have probably been much better qualilfied to be the Candidate Master. He sighed, dejected and depressed. Why do you think they chose me, of all of the dragonmen at High Reaches? Or of all the dragonmen on Pern for that matter!
We could always ask one of them.
What do you mean?
Look over there, Minelove. Is that not the blue hatchling, Relanth?
Well, so it is! I wonder....
Where the weyrlings are? They have lessons with L'gar.
He snorted. Well, I hope he's having a good time!
Come, let us ask our young friend why he thinks you were chosen, Marith said, placatingly, trying to change the course of his thoughts away from his doubtful, somewhat anry feelings.
He grinned. Whatever you say, Mine.

Relanth balked as he spotted Green Marith, one of the elder dragons at High Reaches. He suddenly panicked and backwinged away from the group slightly.
"Ahh! Hello Green Marith, formerly of High Reaches. W-What brings you here?"

((I editted the post, so that the lesson has not yet taken place, but soon will....))
Rumbling a welcoming chuckle, Marith swung herself around so she could circle lazily around the nervous hatchling. Calm down, young one. Myself and Mine are only flying around before we go of for the Candidate's Lesson. J'kent has some rather serious doubts as to why he was chosen to teach the candidtates here.
J'kent frowned down at his gently dragon. Well? I can't know what he's saying unless you tell me!
Peace, Mine. He was just asking me what I was doing here. He's rather nervous at the moment.

Relanth exhaled and flapped up closer to Marith. He thought for a moment before replying.
"Maybe because you two are the most effective green pair at High Reaches? And Maybe because you were one of Weyrleader T'lar and Bronze Galmanath's favorites?"

"Whaaaaat?" J'kent said out loud. "Wait, no, I don't want to know how I got that status." He glanced at his watch. "Mine, I think we should go. It's almost time for the lesson!"

Relanth was confused by J'kent's reaction. He didn't mean to make it sound odd, if he did.
"What I meant was, Weyrleader T'lar had high respect for you. You and Marith were some of the best...Menace-fighters he had. He was sad to let you go, I assume....As for Tahli..well..."
Relanth's tone went sad at the last part.

J'kent's eyes softened slightly as the young blue's thoughts took on a note of sadness.
"You know that not all of us found you trying our patience with your fear. At least, not me and Marith's. Everyone fears it, you just feared it more."
It is true, young one. I'm sure T'lar didn't find your fear to trying. He and His probably believed you and Talhi coming here to Rocky Weyr was for the best. I do.
