Tad shuddered. "Well, I hear that greens don't clutch every time they fly, so maybe you'll get lucky next time."
It seemed that being on Earth was affecting dragon fertility. Probably because they weren't as needed here. But Tad wasn't about to complain...too many dragons would be a bad thing.
"Still...we should have *three* healthy babies before too long." Two dragon, one human. All, of course, Ladeth's fault.

Mentari nodded. "Faizah thinks this very well may be the only clutch Ladeth lays." She explained.
Mentari couldn't say she was upset about it. After her stay in the sands she would be more than happy if Ladeth never clutched again. Besides, at least Ladeth had had one clutch. Mentari wouldn't complain about that.
Mentari smiled at Tad's mention of three healthy babies. "I can't wait to see what ours looks like." She said, her voice a little lower in volume.

Tad nods. "Well, that's not such a bad thing. We can only feed so many dragons, even if we do send some of the healthy pairs back to Pern."
The Weyrs there did not always want to take them, though, worried that their blood was tainted by the deformities. On the other hand, Ladeth and Kimath were both healthy...their offspring, surely, would be fine. And it seemed that few deformities were showing up. Maybe Earth did help with the problem, whatever it was, that was causing them.
Maybe.

Mentari nodded. "I agree. And I can't say I'm upset that she might not clutch again. Atleast she clutched once." Mentari said. She took hold of Tad's hand, leaning against him a little.
"Are you going to come with me to my ultrasound?" Mentari asked randomly.

"Do you want me to?" It was up to her. He suspected the answer would be yes, but he was going to check with her, rather than assuming.
And yes, at least she had clutched once, even if they would only be blues or greens, almost for sure. But then, his blue did him fine. When she leaned, he let her, being a support for the woman of his dreams. Hopefully she would remain that woman for years, even decades, to come.

((TAD IS TOO CUTE!!!))
Mentari nodded. "Yeah. I want you to, but it's up to you." She said.
((Sorry for short post... And I think we're pretty much done here.))
