Actually its two.
Is there any restriction on who can post where? Like is it okay to post my character as long as theyre approved? And second is it okay play a character as if their past had happened?
Like if I post Eric in a thread after the storm even if he hasnt been rescued in the storm plot?
I think thats all. Im just feeling a little nervous.
Oh is there any limit on characters? Id still like to use my twin idea just as regular candidates who came from pern. With a good number of eggs on the sands that would be okay right?
Or are you still not actively looking for candidates?

Q: Is there any restriction on who can post where? Like is it okay to post my character as long as theyre approved? A: No there is no restriction on who can post where, as long as the character is approved and the RP thread in question is open. Meaning it says that it is an open thread or it states who are allowed to reply back in the RP Thread.
Q: And second is it okay play a character as if their past had happened? Like if I post Eric in a thread after the storm even if he hasnt been rescued in the storm plot? A: Yes you can. Just don't mention who the specific person rescued you since you don't know yet IRL although technically he has been rescued months ago now IC-wise.
Q: Oh is there any limit on characters? Id still like to use my twin idea just as regular candidates who came from pern. With a good number of eggs on the sands that would be okay right? Or are you still not actively looking for candidates? A: I don't think there is any written rule about maximum characters. But there is probably the implied rule that you should not make characters that you would not be role-playing at all. And, since there are no Searchriders, there aren't any active Searches going on right now. However, with the clutches hardening on the sands, Candidates are more than welcome to be made/created. However, since they are coming from Pern, they would need a good excuse for being passed to Earth instead of staying in Pern. After all, from Pern's point-of-view only the defect dragons and weyrlings get sent to Earth.

Houka has everything right. But if you want your twins to come from Pern to Earth to Impress, the reason could be that they failed several Pern Impressions and are sent to Rocky to see if they could Impress a "defect" hatchling. Someone brought up that idea and it seems perfect in order to make some Pern candidates.

Did you ever read the questions thread you posted a while back? rockyweyr.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ds&action=display&thread=526I mentioned there, and I'll mention it again here, that the Pernese wouldn't send candidates to Pern to Impress a "defect" dragon if they can't Impress at one of their own hatchings. Candidates stand until they Impress or fall out of the age range. With the idea of bringing Pernese candidates to earth, it's primarily because the Pernese are taking an arrogant turn and trying to steal away the healthy dragonets from Rocky's clutches (no pun intended xD).

Oops. I guess I double asked that one didn't I. My mistake!
Would it be alright to try an idea like that? Something like That their weyrleader of some weyr with a bad clutch on the sands sends some candidates to Earth to fill out their ranks? Like maybe because the last fall devastated them and they dont have enough hatchlings and want to 'steal back' dragons for them?
Basically exactly what you just said. Um. Yea. Sorry about the redundancey there.

Ew look at those typos... -edits her post- Anyway, yes. I think it would be alright for you to play a Pern candidate sent over in an attempt to syphon dragons out of Rocky. The only problem I see with that is your candidate would then be required to go back to Pern, unless they had a good reason to stay, or they ended up Impressing a dragon with a defect. And the whole reason for why Pern is sending candidates over is simply because the Pernese are arrogant and want all of their dragons for themselves.

Horay! [And I apologize in advance for any typos i make. I may be a little lazy when it comes to non roleplay or ooc posts.]
I was definitely hoping to impress a defect dragon. Its almost more fun that way! Perhaps one twin impresses a defected dragon and the other doesnt want to leave their sibling behind?
Or maybe one did something the weyr dislikes? Oh. But that wouldnt make it easy for either to impress. Maybe one got into a fight with a wingleader or something dumb, but they were still considered eligible for impression? It was a stupid social error rather than something that would get them to be unable to impress? Like they pissed off someone...or something. I cant think of a good reason t the time but Id rather have it hammered out here before I make a character.

I figured Faizah or Houka would have some input, but they haven't said anything, so here I go.
Pernese twins are an extreme rarity, but whether or not you can play them is not up to me. In any case, I don't see why the reason provided (being that one sibling doesn't want to leave the other) wouldn't work for a pair of weyrling twins. Of course, there is always the possibility that not both of them Impress at the same hatching, but despite that... Faizah's not a pompous jerk who would try to separate siblings against their will. If anything, I would think she would be for them staying, since she and her own siblings all are at Rocky.
But don't quote me on that. Faizah's not my character.

I seem to have a thing for Pernese rarities. First a redhead and now twins. Well its not too terrible is it? I mean we have far more whites than is normal for Pern plus the out of syncness with them being on Earth. I was hoping it could be handwaved away or just left to be a rarirty but possible. Anyway I won't worry too much about that if it's possible but just not common.
If its really going to bother you [and note I mean that in the most respectful way possible though I think this may come out in text sounding rude- it isn't intended that way I swear!] they could just be siblings who both look very much alike. The main part was intended to be that the brother is slightly [ahem-ridiculously] protective and somewhat jealous of his sister [who is slightly calmer and more sane]. It worked nicely in my head with them being twins [something about them being biologically from the same egg and that] but an older brother works just as well and it would not be strange for siblings to look very similar. Or even not similar. I just like twins mostly.
Since I'm pretty sure the next hatching is somewhat far away I won't worry even about their backstory yet either. But would you say it would be alright to have the girl as a very strong candidate and the brother a good one as well but just be sent to Rocky because there was likely another hatching coming up and the brother was just getting on peoples nerves?
It would be like if he impressed they would want him back because he'd have a dragon and be useful and if he didn't impress then they wouldn't have to deal with him? And his sister just wanted to stay with him [or he said straight up he refused to leave his sister...]
Or would just having the girl arrive to Rocky with a defected hatchling be better? And the brother refused to leave and wanted to take his chances with a Rocky hatching if it meant he could be near her. I now actually just want an opinion. And thanks so much for everything so far too! In case I didn't say that before I really appreciate it.
