One of the smaller eggs from the clutch began to shake. This egg was in the possession of a young weyrling from the last dragon hatching, who had a flitter hatch moments before. The egg was rocking back and forth, and it wasn’t long before the green fire lizard broke through the shell with a hungry screech. Bright green, the female flitter wasted no time in climbing out of the shards of the egg, giving them a satisfied kick in return. She noticed the two flitters already by the person she had hatched next to, and gave all of them a chirp before leaping forward and inspecting the canine that accompanied the weyrling. Egg #9 Democratic Green Fire Lizard Looks to A’ir #33ff33 The lone egg in a brownrider’s hand started to hatch. The hatchling inside nudged at the egg shell, chirping softly. There was a bronze limb that broke through the weakening shell, and waved about gently. Protesting, the bronze hatchling butted at the egg, and the shell splintered into numerous pieces. With a satisfied croon, the bronze climbed out of the egg, and onto the hand of the person holding him. He was of an orangey dusty bronze color, with a line of black down his spine. He opened his mouth in a silent growl, his eyes swirling rainbow, and batted at the fingers of the rider. Egg #22 Friendly Bronze Fire Lizard Looks to Y’ume #f1a660 [ooc: To Faizah/Llonatan] Not long after he returned, Faizah decided to randomly show up. “Faizah... Where ar--Oh hello!” he said in greeting, holding out the bowls for the weyrwoman to take. She managed to grab all of them, much to Hy’ka’s annoyance (after all, he wanted to help, and he was more than capable of carrying a ceramic bowl). “Fai--Oh..” The weyrwoman left Hy’ka after giving him a quick peck on the cheek, to which Hy’ka blushed. Good thing H’vas wasn’t here... Momentarily stunned by the sudden gesture, Hy’ka stood frozen in place. He shyly shrugged his shoulders. “No problem Faizah...” he murmured, spinning around on his heel to walk in the opposite way that she had gone. You seem... Embarrassed. Brynath invaded his thoughts again, and his mental laugh filled Hy’ka’s head. Do you like her? the blue-green joked, What will H'vas say? You better let him know in advance, or something bad will happen, and I don't want to see that. I'm sure you don't either. You wouldn't want H'vas to leave you, would you?“Brynath!” Hy’ka hissed under his breath. You know very well how I feel about relationships, and it’s mostly because of you, the bluerider retorted. H’vas would understand... Hopefully. But no, I don’t feel attracted to Faizah! She’s the Weyrwoman! He snorted, hoping that no one was near to see how heated the discussion between him and his dragon had gotten. Of course, he was pacing, and found himself near a pair that was younger than him. Mentari was one, the young weyrling from the hatching before last, and a young man that Hy’ka didn’t recognize. "What do I do?"A grin spread across Hy’ka’s face. He leapt forward, putting an arm around the other man’s shoulders. “You see... I assume you’re here for a fire lizard... I don’t know you, but that’s okay. I’ll help you anyway. I’m Hy’ka. I ride Brynath, who’s a blue-green, or a... Wait.. Oh, Chimera! That’s what he’s called now. But you see, did you have a number reserved?” The bluerider beamed, and Kivral landed on his head, chattering wildly. “Hush, Kivral. Now,” he pointed to the young man beside him, “You’ll want to grab your assigned egg, and wait for it to hatch. Move quickly, or it might hatch before you have it, and bond to someone else.” He paused for a moment, to glance around the sands. He was looking for that familiar whiterider face. “FAIZAH!” he called, waving his free arm. “What’s this guy’s number? Which egg does he have?” Yelling to the Weyrwoman, Hy’ka jabbed his finger in the man’s direction. The Weyrwoman acknowledge Lawrence with a short ‘welcome,’ to which the bronze weyrling nodded. He and Faizah still weren’t on great terms, and Lawrence was never going to be a big fan of authority, no matter what happened, but he did feel like the tension that came between them was waning. After the weyrling arrived, there was blue flitter with curious markings that hatched. Lawrence circled around the group to get a better look at him. He was sitting in the hands of one of the weyrlings that Impressed at the hatching just last week... “Congrats,” he complimented the young lady, “He’s an interesting fire lizard.” At least you're being nice... Elonverrilth interjected, commenting on his rider’s lack of hostility. Hey. I’m not mean to everyone I see. I don’t like authority... And you know that. The bronze snorted. It's a good thing that I'm a bronze then; at the top of the ranks. You'd throw a fit otherwise, wouldn't you?Ignoring the bronze’s all too true statements, Lawrence stood to the side as the owner of the first hatched flitter left the group. There were still a number of eggs that had yet to hatch, as well as a few that were not claimed by residents yet. In the back of his mind, there was a feeling that Lawrence wanted to bond to another flitter, yet the thought of another Boomerang was too much to bear. Speaking of the bronze fire lizard, where did he disappear to? He was last seen flying around the sands... Chances are, he was inspecting one of the eggs, and he definitely would appear again in a matter of minutes. As was the nature of his name.

Nocia felt a rush of cold air hit the back of her neck and saw a small blue shape land on her shoulder out of the corner of her eye. Lapis, her blue firelizard from Missy's clutch, hummed at a pitch almost too high to hear as the eggs hatched. Well, if the eggs were starting to hatch, she might as well pick up hers and make sure that they didn't Impress to anyone else. First, the bluerider took a bowl of meat from Faizah with a nod of thanks.
Now, all that remained was to pick up the two shuddering eggs that belonged to her. Numbers twelve and fourteen, if she remembered right and indeed she did. Carefully lifting up the eggs in one hand and waving the bowl of meat for balance with the other, Nocia stood up to take the eggs over to a quieter spot on the sands. She didn't want to be too far away though, some of the babies had been left to chance and perhaps she'd attract one, if only out of jealousy at seeing its siblings get fed.
At least one of every color but gold had hatched now. Lapis stopped humming long enough to dive into the bowl of meat and start snarfing down the shreds. He was hungry, again and if his silly human was more interested in the eggs than him, the baby blue would have to forage for himself.

(Sneaking in a bit. Just because I know Em would love to see a flitter hatching.)
Ember tried not to be intrusive, but she couldn't stop the tiny squeak of awe as she saw the mother flitter presiding over her hatching. And...well, damn. The babies. They were possibly the most adorable things she'd ever seen. All colors of the rainbow (well mostly) and squealing, tiny things that had so much personality to them.
She stifled another squee of glee as two more eggs hatched- a teeny green who went to one of the other riders to play with a dog, and a handsome metallic youngling, with an almost dun-pattern stripe down it's back.
Blast but they were cute.
Apparently, someone else had the same thought, too, because Ember was startled to feel a hand at her back. She nearly jumped, but a soft reassurance and a charming smile from the person behind her made her realize it was just someone who was trying to move past. Or...something.
Ari smiled up at the taller girl, a candidate, she guessed, and glanced back at the flitter hatchlings. "Yeah...they ARE cute, aren't they?" She said with a wistful sigh. Ember glanced at her, then nodded.
"Yep."

Weyrling A'ir Soon after Tini hatched, A'ir was too busy minding Tini to notice that three eggs managed to simultaneously hatch. One revealed a dark bronze, another a very pale green, and the third a blue. When Tini was finally properly fed, A'ir's attention was caught towards the mound of eggs when he noticed a yet unclaimed egg hatch to reveal a Brown but it seemed that the flit managed to Impress to the lad that would have claimed the egg before it hatched.
Then, he was distracted a bit because the golden egg got riddled with cracks and yet, the gold flit hatchling didn't seem to want to get out of her shell yet. A'ir briefly wondered who the gold flit will Impress to. However, he had his hands full yet again as his second egg decided to hatch. Before he could feed the little one, the green flit managed to go near Ryoushi.
Ryoushi's ears perked up in interest as he was finally face to face with a newly hatched winged reptile-smelling creatures. He looked at the green thing curiously as it leaped near him. He looked at it and then looked back up at his Alpha. He wasn't really sure what he was supposed to do but he didn't try to do anything to it and just kept on watching at it.
A'ir was glad that Ryoushi didn't do anything with the flit. A'ir settled the sleeping Tini on the ground beside the bowl of meat for a bit as he moved to scooped the newly hatched flit gently into his hand. A'ir told the little green flit, "Now that wasn't a smart thing to do. Ryoushi's a wolf and despite that he behaves, he is still a cub. What if he got excited and pounced on you, Mini?" as he manuevered the flit to look her in the eyes and noticed her rainbow swirling entranced look. He shook his head at her as he moved back to where the bowl of meat and Tini was, and grabbed some meat tidbits for Mini to eat.
Mini just let the scolding pass over her and concentrated on the food. Now that she was made to realize how hungry she was, she moaned in distress for she still felt very hungry and trilled as Hers fed her until at last, she was full and could no longer eat more food. After that, she climbed up A'ir's arm and settled on his right shoulder. She then twined her tail about A'ir's neck before she curled up to sleep.
A'ir picked up the sleeping Tini with his left hand and was now standing beside Ryoushi and Lesla. Although he had managed to successfully Impress the two flits that hatched from his reserved eggs, he was loathe to leave since he can see that there are still unclaimed eggs in the mound guarded by Reyna.
Ryoushi sat up wondering if they would be leaving now. However, since his Alpha hasn't said anything yet, Ryoushi was content to just sit there and watch. He wondered if he could play with the eggs once whatever was happening was over. Of course, Ryoushi didn't know that the eggs were not to be played with at all even if they ended up as duds.
Rakymath was just waking up from his morning nap. He looked around and didn't see His nearby. He mentally called for His and wondered where His was. A'ir-Mine, where are you? I cannot find you in our weyr. Rakymath sent to His.
A'ir inwardly winced as Rakymath finally woke up. He knew that he should leave and take care of his brown but he was torn with want of staying for a little bit more to see what'll happen in the Hatching. Are you terribly hungry? I'm here in the Hatching Sands and I just managed to Impress two green flits. I named them Tini and Mini. A'ir sent via their bond.
Rakymath stretched himself as he heard His' reply. After contemplating for a bit, he felt that he was beginning to be hungry, but not that terribly hungry yet. Well then, stay put and I'll make my way over to you, Mine. Rakymath replied as he made his way towards the Hatching Sands. Rakymath wasn't a very clingy dragonet and was mature enough to navigate himself from their weyr to the Hatching Sands. Sure it felt awkward walking but he took his time and managed to get there without any mishaps. When he entered the Hatching Sands, he immediately saw His and made his way to His' side. He noticed Ryoushi, the wolf cub and warbled a greeting at the little cub. Then, he stood beside His and started humming as he watched the Hatching.
A'ir was glad that Rakymath decided to join him in the Hatching Sands and wasn't complaining of hunger yet. But he knew that pretty soon, Rakymath would need to feed for he can feel Rakymath's hunger beginning to make itself known. He just hoped that before the time came, the Hatching would be long over by then.
Ryoushi barked a greeting at the dragon and rolled over to present his tummy. In Ryoushi's opinion, the dragon was at the same level with his Alpha which was why he had gone into a submissive pose and presented his tummy to the dragon. When that was done, he was once more sitting down and watching the Hatching.
Weyrling Lesla Lesla didn't know where to look as a few eggs hatched simultaneously. But she was minding Ryoushi and got alarmed when a green flit suddenly leaped in front of Ryoushi. It was a good thing that Ryoushi didn't pounce on the poor little thing and before she could do anything, A'ir had already scooped up the green flit into his hand and calling her Mini. Lesla looked down at Ryoushi and said, "That's a good boy. Flits aren't toys or things. They are our friends." she said as she looked happily at A'ir who had Impressed his second green flit.
She looked at the eggs and noticed that the gold egg had more visible cracks on it. She wondered if the gold flit would hatch anytime soon. However, her musing was interrupted when Rakymath decided to join her and A'ir. She made space for the dragonet and saw how Ryoushi greeted Rakymath. She wondered what it all meant as she saw Ryoushi rolling over and showing Rakymath his tummy. She just shrugged her shoulders and once more focused her attention on the Hatching and wondered when all the eggs would hatch.
Brownrider Y'ume Y'ume was rather surprised to find himself Impressed to a bronze flit. He noticed the black line going down the bronze's spine and for some reason, the name, "Spike!" blurted out of him. He apologized as he probably spooked the poor flit and in a more normal tone of voice, he said, "Your name will be Spike." as he crouched down to where a bowl of meat was on the sands. He grabbed a few tidbits and began feeding Spike making sure that the flit didn't accidentally choke.
The bronze flit got startled as His suddenly blurted out a word. After a while, he understood that the word His blurted out was actually to be his name. Spike actually liked his name, so he settled once more on His' hand and asked for food. Looking up at His with his mouth open a sure sign to His of what he wanted, which is to be hand fed by His.

Akira watched the gold egg confused because of the lack of noise and then looked at the egg she cradled wishing the little one would decide to hatch soon because her excitment kept growing. (ooc- sorry its short writing an essay at the same time)

Candidate Llonatan Pandora He had asked Mentari what he was supposed to do, but before she could respond a strange guy grabbed him and called for Faizah. Llonatan's eye bulged. Then he tentatively tried to talk to the guy. "I'm Llonatan. Faizah is my cousin. Who are you?" Weyrwoman Faizah of White Surth Faizah heard Hy'ka calling her again. As she turned she saw he had his arm around Llonatan and asking what his egg was. Faizah smiled slightly. "Hey coz. You have egg number ten. Take this bowl and your egg and find a corner to wait. Feed it when the egg hatches. Got it?" Faizah asked her cousin as she handed him a bowl. --- The egg Akira was holding suddenly cracked and hatched. Part of the egg was resting against the flits back, but she gently shook it off and looked up at the girl holding her. The green was content to chirp quietly when Hers hadn't yet noticed her and began feeding her. Egg #7 Disciplined Looks to Akira #307430

Akira hearded the chirping and looked down and began feeding the small flit, watching her fingers. "I wonder what i should name you little one......."
Akira's mind wandered to a book she had recently read... J.K Rowlings Harry Potter Series. "Lilly! I think your a Lilly, what do you think?"
The flit chirped happily. "Lilly it is." Akira said.

(OOC: Faizah, is it Llanaton or Llonatan? Not really sure which is the correct one to use. In the Approved Characters, the name is spelled Llanaton but in Reyna's Hatching, the name is spelled Llonatan.)Egg #10 started rocking and shaking as scratching noises could be heard from within the egg. A crack appeared and was heard by those near. The crack spread to the surrounding area and the egg shell started flaking off of the still struggling flit inside. In a few seconds, a brown wing was visible until all of the flit broke free of its prison showering a few shells around. The flit took a look around him noticing other people nearby. Then, he noticed one of the hands that still held the remains of his egg. The brown flit followed that arm up to look at the face of the lad and into His' purple eyes with his own eyes swirling a rainbow of colors. The brown flit gave a shy soft cheep of greeting at His before he started scrambling up one His' arm. He tried hiding behind the long hair of His while his tail tried to go around His' neck. The flit didn't seem to be concerned about hunger but instead wanted to hide from all the other strangers that were near him. However, being that close to His with skin to skin contact, His could feel his hunger and knew that he should be fed and soon. Egg #10 Shy Brown (#cb7a28) Fire Lizard Looks to Llanaton/Llonatan

Nomics of Bronze Yurith Faizah handed him the bowl of meat just as a baby Brown firelizard jumped from the ground in front of him into his air space. "Oh sweet goodness!" Nomics exclaimed in surprise as he flinched backwards. He wasn't expecting to be assaulted by a baby flitter. Of course, Nomics doesn't expect a lot of things that he should. "There he is. Feed him before he decides on another person.""There he is indeed!" he said, exasperated. But he was worried that the Brown flitt would leave and so quickly grabbed a piece of meat and flung his hand out in the direction of the little guy. He landed rather awkwardly, clinging to his shirt sleeve like a bat and consumed the offering voraciously. Turning his head back to Nomics, he looked at him with rainbow eyes and then began chittering excitedly, opening his maw in a plea for more sustenance. As he shoveled food into the baby's face, he wondered what he would call the handsome creature. The BronzeRider eyed the band on the Brown's belly. Maybe something to do with that? Band...music band...U2? U? Nomics chuckled and murmured to himself "Hey U!" Hmmm... maybe something in Russian! "Braun" was brown... But braun means strong and infers less than intelligence in english... Maybe "Mozgi" for brain or possibly "Poyas" which meant belt, for that strange mark. He thought it over for a while and finally decided. Just as the flitter was dozing off, Nomics whispered to him, "I'll call you Mozgi." The flitterling gave a little cheep and his eyes lazily swirled a happy green. But that could have been because he was full. Weyrling Shasta of Green Quith Shasta was glad she came. There was so much boisterous activity here! Eggs were hatching left and right and oh, the colors and markings they had! For a moment she was jealous that her flitters were not so arrayed. But she new that she would love them just the same no matter what they looked like and her mild envy subsided. Jas landed on her shoulder and burbled happily in her ear. He wrapped his tail around her neck possessively as her two new additions attached themselves to her other shoulder and sleeve. With these additions, Shasta started to edge in closer for a better look at the remaining eggs and to see who would eventually get the Gold when she hatched. It had been moving and even cracked, so it shouldn't be much longer of a wait. Weyrling D'niel of Blue Streeth Dan watched everything with quiet interest. Especially since there were so many eggs that were still unclaimed. Who would they hatch to, he wondered. He decided he should wait to get rid of the bowls he held in hopes that they would help him attract one of the flitters. But then he changed his mind. that was a cheap way to get a firelizard. if one picked him then it would be for his personality. He walked over to Faizah and asked, "Do you need these?" and offered her the bowls. He wanted to be helpful and also get rid of these hindrances so he could get back to the nest of precious orbs.

This was quite enjoyable, Tiff thought, feeding her little blue until he fell asleep. Hopefully, Cioeth would not mind the extra company.
The green-blue dragon didn't seem to mind any company, though, as long as said company admired her appropriately. Tiffanie bet she would be mad if every single male in the Weyr didn't chase her when she reached sexual maturity...and likely settle for nothing less than a bronze.
She smiled at the thought. She had been wrong...Cioeth was not like her mother. Cioeth was like the person her mother wished she could be.
"They're cute," Tad muttered. "Okay, you're cute." That didn't quite cut off the tired chitterscold Nag managed...then, mercifully, the green fell asleep.
Why had he come anywhere near this hatching? He felt like apologizing to Cobweb for sticking him with such an...interesting...partner.
But he couldn't help but love her. And Kimath probably would too. Not that the blue cared much about anything.

(OOC: Okay, not sure what happened to the other egg, but I'm guessing that E'nd still has it in his other hand.)The egg with number 20 in the young man's hand didn't shake at all to announce the imminent hatching of the flit inside. Instead, one second it was whole, and the next, shards of eggshells and egg goo went flying everywhere. The bronze flit that was revealed stood up on all fours and unfurled his wings which displayed black wing membranes as he looked around with red swirling eyes, evidence of his hunger. His gaze stopped at someone in particular and he locked gazes with His, his eyes swirling rainbow colors. He chirped a greeting before he noticed the bowl of meat on the sands. Hopping down to stand on the rim of the bowl, he tried his best to hoard the food all to himself. Egg #20 Bronze (#c7a65f with black wing membranes) Hoarder Looks to E'nd/Evander
Back in the mound of eggs, one of the eggs with a number 19 painted on it, shook more violently than the others. Small cracks appeared and spread over the shell as the flit from within pushed ever outwards in its gain for freedom. Soon, a blue snout emerged and the flit within rested for a bit as he breathed his first breath of air. After a while, the flit started working to free himself again. The cracks on his eggshell grew and spread more around the egg until finally, the blue flit managed to get out of his prison. He shook himself, egg goo showering the eggs nearby and sand on his feet. He also unfurled and fanned his wings to dry them. When his wings were dry, he launched himself to the sky and flew about looking for food. However, his eyes spied someone and he landed with a swoosh in front of His. He looked up at His with swirling rainbow eyes. He trilled a greeting, satisfied that he had found His before he found food on his own. Then, he kreeled his hunger and hoped that His would have something to feed him soon. Afterall, he had worked hard to free himself from his prison egg and also flew around to find His. Egg #19 Blue (#089afb) Hardworker Looks to Lawrence (OOC: Okay, I understand that Nocia has moved the eggs away from the main clutch but near enough to attract any of the unclaimed flits. Anyways, I am assuming that the two eggs are back on the sands near the (crouching, kneeling, or sitting?) Nocia and also near the bowl of meat as well.)And in another spot, yet another egg hatched. This egg had the number 14 painted on one side. It had been shuddering violently and tiny cracks can be seen spreading all over the egg. Instead of the eggshells splattering everyone, when the flit inside decided to move, the shells just flaked away although most was still stuck on the bronze flit because of the egg goo that the bronze didn't bother to clean yet. Looking around, the bronze saw a young lass. As he looked up, his eyes began swirling rainbow when he locked gazes with His. Then, he opened his maw and waited for His to feed him. His eyes starting to have red colors because of his hunger. Egg #14 Bronze (#494c04) Glutton Looks to Nocia

[ooc: Shall post my charies later... Because I need to think of names first.] As the number of eggs started to dwindle down, leaving only a few unclaimed eggs left, the one marked thirteen started to hatch. The egg rocked quickly. A tender claw reached out, bursting through the cracking shell, and announcing to the world that the flitter in this egg was a green. She was still among the the rest of the clutch, and with a typical squeal, the green pulled herself out of the egg, scratching her delicate hide on the jagged edges. However, she hardly noticed this as she shook herself off, trying her wings, and lifting them experimentally. Her red eyes glanced around, taking in the sights. And the green’s eyes landed on one person in particular. With a squeak, the green flitter, with various speckles on her hide, leapt forward, smashing into another of the eggs that was not claimed. This one was rocking too, but not at the same pace as the the thirteenth egg had been. However, when the newly hatched green flitter charged forward, she knocked herself into the eleventh egg, effectively force-hatching another green onto the sands. The two were clearly related, having a similar pattern of speckles on their hide, and they instantly tried to brawl. The older of the two eyed the younger, and darted to the side, wanting to get around to reach the person she had seen before, only to have the younger fire lizard block her way. Snapping at the younger clutchmate, the green snuck around the other, heading straight for the young woman that she had locked eyes with before. Egg #13 Typical Green Green Fire Lizard Looks to Lesla #77ea13 The younger of the two green fire lizards was on the tail of the older, even as she bonded to one of the giant beings that was there. The younger flitter chirped, kicking up sand as she chased after her sibling, only to come to a stop before the two humans. She was instantly drawn to the male, jumping and latching onto his foot, coating herself and the material in a layer of sand. Egg #11 Sloppy Green Fire Lizard Looks to A’ir #0af020

Llonatan Llonatan was surprised when the egg hatched to reveal a coffee colored brown. It quickly climbed up onto his back and hid there. The skin to skin contact, and having already Impressed to it, allowed the young wher candidate to feel his fire lizard's hunger. He soothingly began to speak to the hatchling, at the same time offering meat chunks. The brown would pop his head out of the cover of His' hair, snatch the meat, and disappear again to eat it. Llonatan knew the perfect name for the shy young brown. "Nathan." --- The gold egg, previously only chipped and cracked, finally hatched. Where the whole egg had been, a small gold flitter stood, fanning her wings to dry them. She was the color of a newly minted gold coin, with the tips of her tail white. She looked about her with red whirling eye, broadcasting her hunger to the entire weyr. She glanced around, wondering who would approach and feed her. Her eye caught a man off to the side, standing near a boy holding a brown and a woman with red hair. The young gold cocked her head to the side, then took to the skies. She landed on the shoulder of the man, chirping loudly and boldly in his ear. She flapped her wings again, even though she was perched on his shoulder, to get the attention of those around her. She looked at the man whose shoulder she perched on, her eyes swirling rainbow colors as she Impressed to him. Egg #2 Bold Looks to Hy'ka (PhazonDragon) #f5e423--- Another egg chose to hatch at that moment. The number '1' was painted on it's side. It cracked, dividing the egg into seven peices. And that was the way the egg spilt; cleanly into seven peices. A green emerged from the shell shards, looking at her wet and sticky body almost as if to say Look how filthy I am?She stopped to clean herself, her eyes whirling the colors of intense annoyment at the sticky egg goo that coated her. only when she was done did her whirling eyes change in color from annoyance to hunger. At that point she looked about her for someone with food. She didn't find food, but she did find someone that she liked. The green took daintily to the skies, flying straight for the girl standing near the entrance. She landed on the girls shoulder before she had noticed the green. The young green chirped to be fed at the same time her eyes whirled slowly with rainbow colors in them. Egg #1 Cleanly Looks to Ember (redwerecat) #66ff66

Weyrling Lesla & Weyrling A'ir Lesla's attention wandered over to the clutch just in time to see one of the eggs hatch to reveal a green. She wondered idly who the green would choose as she looked beside her to where A'ir was with his two new green flits. Who would have thought that the two eggs would both hatch a green. She felt rather sorry for Finder who'll be be outnumbered by greens. Her silently musings were interrupted by a squeal coming from the clutch and looking to see what's wrong saw the green hurting herself as she pulled out of her egg.
However, noticing that the flit didn't seem to be bothered by the injury, Lesla was about to look away when she felt the green flitter look at her direction. She wasn't quite sure it happened since the flitter's eyes were swirling in red when she had looked at her direction. But, Lesla decided to wait and see, inwardly wincing when the flitter smashed into one of the unclaimed eggs which resulted in one of the eggs hatching prematurely.
If Lesla hadn't seen each flitter hatch separately, she would have bet that they were twins coming from the same egg. The two greens looked very similar with their speckled green hide. But though they were siblings, the immediately fought with each other. Lesla had thought that both flitters had gone wild but instead, the first green flitter with the speckled hide headed straight for her.
Now the green flitter stopped in front of Hers, not afraid of the canine that was close by and chirped a greeting as she looked up with rainbow swirling eyes. She had been detained by her younger green sister, but she had finally reached Hers and she was awfully hungry. As her eyes began to swirl more red, she kreeled in hunger and waited to be fed by Hers.
Lesla knelt down and gently picked up the green flit, surprised to Impress a flit at the hatching but not rejecting the Impression at all. Noticing that A'ir still had meat from his bowl, she grabbed some meat and fed her new flit. As she did so, she noticed the younger green speckled flit and wondered if she would also Impress to her. However, A'ir was there beside her congratulating her for her newly Impressed flit and the younger flit chose to Impress on A'ir instead.
A'ir had been absorbed with Tini and Mini that he almost didn't notice Lesla grabbing some meat from his bowl. However, the movement made at his periphery vision made him turn his head and saw that Lesla had managed to Impress a flit of her own. With a smile on his face, he said, "Congratulations on your new flit." as he gave her a brief congratulatory hug.
He took the leash from her and kept an eye on Ryoushi. "What are you going to name her?" he asked Lesla. Not realizing that yet another flit had chosen to Impress on him until he felt something latching on his foot. He looked down to see a green flit with speckles on her hide much like the flit that had Impressed to Lesla.
Lesla looked from her new green friend you had a lighter green color to the other darker green who was currently attached to A'ir's foot. After a bit, she said, "I think I'll name her Jade." since the color reminded her of the ornamental stone. The specks were a different matter but Jade was the name that came to her when A'ir had asked what she would name her new flit. Throwing the question back, she asked, "What about you? What will you name her?" as she looked down at the still attached flit on A'ir's leg.
A'ir was surprised to see a flit there and as he carefully bent to get the off his foot, he grabbed more meat from the bowl. He looked down at a third green flit that had Impressed on him and looking over at Jade who was being fed by Lesla, he replied with, "Well, I guess I'll name her Emerald then." as he began feeding Emerald as well. He looked down occasionally at the flit to make sure that she was chewing her food properly before swallowing.
Rakymath looked at the new flits that His had managed to Impress. He mentally shook his head at the situation for His was in for a tiring few days what with three baby flits to feed. Not to mention himself and his brother, Xenosmayth, who thankfully was still deep in slumber. Looking at His, he said, Three LittleCounsins at once, Mine? You are going to be spending more time at the Kitchens butchering food for all of us.
A'ir paused in feeding Emerald to look at Rakymath as he replied with, "At least when they grow up, I have more helpers to deal with you and your brother." and sticked his tongue out jokingly. "Besides, I'm sure Finder will like having three ladies all to himself." A'ir added as he looked around for his blue friend.
Then, he crouched down and showed Ryoushi the flits. "Ryoushi, these are my new flits. I better not catch you pouncing on them." A'ir told the wolf cub who was looking up at him and the flits interestedly. But the cub behaved and was just looking with curiosity in his eyes. A'ir reminded himself that when Ryoushi was more fit, he'd have to get Ryoushi accustomed to the other flits that are not his own and the various animals in the Weyr, especially the other canines and felines.

[ooc: To Faizah] Though he didn’t want to bond to another flitter, he soon came to realize that he should have expected it. Lawrence wasn’t keen on interaction at this moment in time, not to mention that a few of the weyrlings and riders did give him funny or odd looks, as if his reputation for being quick to anger spread like wildfire through the weyr. And it probably had. He wasn’t bothered often, and the bronze weyrling rather liked it. But you see, he paced around the outskirts of the hatching sands, not wanting to get close enough to attract a flitter, yet not wanting to get far enough away to miss everything that happened. As such, there was an unclaimed egg that hatched. The blue fire lizard that pulled himself free from the egg didn’t waste any time in picking a person to bond to. He circled the area a few times, before interrupting Lawrence’s thoughts with a draconic trill. Elonverrilth’s amused chuckling entered his mind, and Lawrence gave him a mental reprimanding. I don’t need you to be laughing at me, he snapped at the bronze, ignoring the rest of the dragon’s thoughts from his mind. The blue startled him, but he kept hovering in place just in front of his head, and Lawrence’s barriers fell down like a tidal wave of water. He tentatively reached out to the flitter, palm up, and allowed the creature to settle into his hand. “I suppose... You’re mine now, are you?’ he had to ask no one in particular. The flit cried out for food, though he didn’t move from Lawrence’s hand. “Oh. I. Um. Here. I’ll get some for you,” Lawrence said, glancing around. He couldn’t spot an extra bowl, which forced him to swallow his pride and ask for one. “Faizah,” he squeaked, then cleared his throat. “Weyrwoman--” the words were like acid as they slid out of his mouth, “--Faizah. Do you have any meat for Vincent here?” the bronze weyrling asked, instantly naming the fire lizard after a certain painter, and reaching out to the one woman he thought he would never get along with. The egg in his other hand still didn’t move, and Evander glanced at it from time to time. Was he getting... A bit worried for the flitter that he had tried to reserve? However, Getorin was content to keep him occupied with his constant need for food. The younger of his two blues continued to chirp, opening his mouth again as soon as Evander had hand-fed him a chunk of meat. The only warning the young weyrling had before the egg in his other hand hatched, was a slight twitch. And all at once, the shards exploded forth from his hand, leaving a pale bronze exposed in the weyrling’s hand. It was only a fraction of a second in which Evander’s eyes darted to his hand, that the newly hatched fire lizard leapt off of his hand, instantly heading for the bowl of meat, and pacing around it protectively. The bronze flared his black-membraned wings, hissing slightly when Getorin crooned, but Evander was quick to pick up on that. “Nae, that’s not whit ah’ll let ye do. Don’t be that way.” From his shoulder, Paradron chirped, interested, and friendly as always. He dropped down from Evander’s shoulder to nuzzle his greeting to the bronze flitter, not flinching when the greedy flit tensed and moved to gather the meat for himself. “Ah can tell yer gonnae be a wee bit of trouble...” the Scot commented. “A bit... Of pomp and cercumstance, would ye say? Ah’m thenking... Kaitain.” The bronze looked up, pausing in the ravenous chewing of the chunks of meat, as the name registered in his mind, as if he knew the reasoning behind it. [ooc: To Llonatan] “Llonatan, yes?” Hy’ka repeated the name, testing it on his tongue. “Yes.. It’s a good name.” He gave the boy’s shoulder a pat, even as Faizah came up to the familiar face and told him what to do. “Faizah’s cousin... Well that makes things a little easier.” However, the chimera rider looked hurt at the previous words from the boy’s mouth. “Who am I? Didn’t you hear me a few moments ago? I’m Hy’ka. I ride the blue-green chimera Brynath.” He poked Llonatan’s chest. “Now do what your cousin says.” Unwrapping his arm from around the younger man’s shoulders, the rider gave him a gentle shove forward. “And don’t dawdle,” Hy’ka warned the man, stepping away for a moment. He started to turn away, his ‘work’ completed, when the cracking of a nearby eggshell stopped him. He turned back to Llonatan to see a brown flitter in his hands, only to have the flit clamber into his hair. “Isn’t he precious? Congrats, Llonatan, Take good care of him.” With that. Hy’ka gave the boy a friendly wink. Kivral was his usual annoying self--no, that wasn’t right. The brown usually wasn’t a pain in the butt. “Kivral!” Hy’ka jerked, whirling around to find the brown flitter flying in circles just behind his head. “What is going on with you?” As if answering his question, the flit dipped down to where the single, gold-covered egg lay, cracking and shaking gently. “Oh!” he murmured. “Yes, the little queen is going to hatch. Forgive me for yelling at you like that then, Kivral.” Hy’ka smiled warmly, scooting to one side to peer at the queen egg between various other watchers, and allowed Kivral to land on his shoulder. What happened next, he wasn’t prepared for. The gold flitter hatched simply and quickly, without a single source for show. She stood, dried her wings, like most flitters did, and a wave of dull hunger hit Hy’ka. So... She was bold enough to call to the whole weyr, just moments after birth. “Aren’t you a gorgeous beauty?” he crooned to no one, admiring the simpleness of her hide, save for the white tail forks. So when the gold entered the open world of the sky, Hy’ka looked startled to see her coming straight for him. As if mimicking Kivral, the gold landed on Hy’ka’s shoulder, looking up into his eyes and chirping, adding emphasis with a flutter of her wings. “Oh... Did you hear me before? Yes, you are a gorgeous fire lizard,” Hy’ka continued, a hint of a baby-tone in his voice. He reached up, scratching the gold’s drying hide in a pleasing manner. “I suppose you’ll need a name.” The rider thought about this. Of course she needed a name. But what? She needed a perfect name, one that suited her. [ooc: Shall name Hy’ka’s gold when I have a name for her... I just wanted to post with him to complete my trio of characters at the hatching. And to respond to the other posts.]

Ember giggled helplessly at the tiny prim green. Such an entrance could only make her smile. They were adorably neurotic, she thought of the flitters. kind of reminded her of...puppies. Loud and rambunctious and HUNGRY.
And then when the little green thing just primly cleaned herself off, Ember had to change her opinion. Maybe the better comparison would be cats. Just as neurotic, but so much more... catlike. She almost didn't notice the green most recently hatched leave the sands, so when she looked back, she was confused. Then came a little chirp by her ear, and Ember made a squeaking noise of surprise when she saw the fire lizard there.
"Oh! Hello. I'm sorry, you- um. You're hungry, right? All babies are." She glanced around nervously, not sure what to do- there was food, but she hadn't been supposed to impress, right? So- A hand next to her pressed a small bowl of food into hers.
Ari smiled at the curly-haired girl and made a motion towards the flit. "You're doing right, don't worry. She'll want food, and if you're ready a name."
Ember grabbed a piece of cube meat and held it out to the green. When the little one daintily picked it up in her claws, inspected it, and began to nibble it, Ember knew she had a name. "Just like a little princess. No, worse- a teenage pageant model. Oh, I've got it. Your name, most certainly, is Debutante."

[ooc: Let the gold-naming commence.] Momentarily distracted by something else, Brynath turned back to Hy’ka’s mind to notice something different about his rider. You seem to have picked up a stray, he jokingly commented, shifting his wings from where he lay in his weyr. May I come over to meet the little queen? Now why would I stop you from doing that? Hy’ka wondered, though he wasn’t sure if the rest of the crowd would allow the blue dragon to get close to the clutch. That was just as well, since Hy’ka could slip away to the side to meet his bonded partner, if needed. Come on over, Brynath. The rider felt his dragon shift, standing up, and the mental woosh of air as the blue-green chimera left the weyr. Hy’ka managed to pawn off a bowl of meat from a servant passing by, and he was now using that to feed his gold fire lizard. “You need a name,” he continued to coo to the golden creature. Still standing by Faizah and Llonatan, Hy’ka scratched at the gold’s chin, like he would a child’s, and began to feed chunks of meat to her. “Now... A perfect name. Well, you are a little beauty. Beauty..? No, too... Bleh.” The rider made a face as he thought about constantly calling the gold ‘Beauty.’ “You are a gorgeous princess, are you not? What about... Princess?” The gold responded to that with a bold snap at his finger, trying to gobble down more food for herself. Interested, Kivral watched from Hy’ka’s other shoulder, though he knew his place and didn’t try to steal food from Hy’ka’s hands. Brynath didn’t take long to arrive, and his sleek blue-green form was soon to land daintily on the hatching sands, but far enough away from the crowd around Reyna’s clutch in order not to disturb them. Can't think of a name? the chimera chuckled, slinking closer to the crowd, but he rounded the edge, to where Hy’ka was standing, with a pair of flitters on his shoulders. Pick a good one. Not that she'll mind, but I'm sure both of us will.“I’m not fond of Beauty, and she’s rejected Princess...” Hy’ka commented with a bit of dry humor. He continued to feed the gold, even as Brynath came around to visit. “And don’t scare poor Llonatan here.” The rider waved his dragon to the other side of him, so as to not sneak up behind Faizah’s cousin and frighten him more. “She is a real beauty though, right? Maybe... An Earth name? Since we don’t seem to be able to go back to Pern anytime soon. Might as well get used to life here.” As if we haven't already, Hy'ka!Hy’ka coughed. “A very good point. How about a nice combination of the two? Something between both planets. Like out there.” The bluerider raised his hand, meat between his fingers, and gestured towards the sky, meaning outer space. In protest, the gold on his shoulder squawked, and leapt up, neatly climbing up his sleeve to perch on his hand, and nibble the meat. “She’s rather... Impulsive.” Like you.“And would you say ‘explosive’?” Hm. Possibly.Hand still in the air, as if reaching for the heavens above, Hy’ka thought a moment, contemplating Brynath’s responses. “Supernova,” he decided. “Those things we were told about... And shown pictures over. They’re giant, beautiful, and explosive, yes? I’m thinking her name shall be Supernova.” At this moment, Hy’ka allowed the gold flitter to tear the raw meat from between his fingers, and still grasping onto his hand, shoved it into her maw, feeding herself. “Supernova it is.”

Almost all of the eggs from Reyna's clutch have hatched. While the gold flit had everyone's attention as she decided who Hers was to be, an egg marked with the number 16 hatched to reveal a blue flit. He wasn't much for fanfare and let his gold sister have all the attention while he looked around his surroundings with red swirling eyes. He fanned his wings to dry them as he tested them a bit while he cleaned himself as best he could. When he was relatively dry, he looked around once more in search of food but instead, he espied His with one of his green sisters. Launching himself to the sky, he flew about, getting around the obstables in his way until finally, he came face to face with His. He hovered in the air in front of His as he looked into His' bright green eyes with his own swirling rainbow eyes. He gave a happy trill of greeting at His before landing on her other shoulder and gently twining his tail around His' neck. It was just fair to wait for his turn to be fed which is why he didn't immediately demand for food even if his eyes started to swirl red as evidence of his hunger. Egg #16 Blue (#373de9) Fair Looks to Ember
Meanwhile, on another spot of the Hatching Sands, another egg marked with the number 12 began shaking violently as the flit inside shattered his prison of an eggshell. With a bugle of triumph, the purplish blue flit with blue rings around his tail looked around himself. Then he noticed His was right there in front of him along with his bronze brother who was waiting to be fed. He looked up into His' eyes with his rainbow swirling eyes, and with a happy trill, he bounced excitedly as he waited for His to feed him as well. (OOC: It has been three weeks since Reyna's clutch started Hatching. And although Egg #23 was reserved, since the owner (Sennia) never showed up for the Hatching, the flit will now go to one of the characters present at the Hatching.)There was a bit of lull as three eggs were still unclaimed and unhatched in the clutch being guarded by Gold Reyna. But then, one of the eggs started to shake and roll. Soon, tiny hairline cracks could be seen spreading through the egg. And with a splatter of eggshells, there within the remains of the eggshell was a blue flit with specks of white all over his hide. He just remained where he was as he unfurled his wings to dry them and started to clean himself. When he was relatively clean, he stood on all fours and carefuly stepped out of his shattered egg. He was very observant of where he put his feet down, careful of the sharp shards that littered the sands. When he was at a relative safe distance from the mess of his shattered egg, he stopped to looked around him with red whirling eyes. Most of the folks around him had Impressed to his siblings. So he passed over those and took more stock of the folks that haven't Impressed any of his siblings yet. There were relatively few of them but luckily enough, he saw a glimpse of His. However, His already had other older flits, but that didn't matter to him. It only mattered that none of his siblings had managed to Impress to His yet. And with a rumble of happiness, he launched himself to the sky straight to His. He didn't stop until he came face to face with his and lacking a place to land, he grabbed for His' clothes and draped himself in front of His as he looked up with rainbow swirling eyes into His' dark hazel eyes. The eggs dwindled down, and of the two eggs left, both had assigned residents to them, who ended up not showing for the hatching. As such, the eggs were not going to wait any longer, and the flitters inside started to get a little impatient. They were of approximately the same size, are seemed to communicate across the sands at each other. Each one was content to take its own time at releasing its contents on the warm sands, but that wouldn’t stop them forever. Hunger would win out in the end, and the little creatures would have to break the shell. First, there was a simply chirping form that shoved at the egg shell. A weak point pulsed as the flitter pushed its weight against its prison, until finally, a brown came tumbling out of the egg. He snorted, but didn’t protest. He picked his way out of the egg shards, standing on careful legs, and his wedge-shaped head turning around to watch the gathered creatures above him. Curiously, he eyed them, and stepped forward. His tail gently bumped into the last of the eggs, knocking over the creamy shell. The second to last fire lizard wove in and out of the feet of the people gathered, as if looking for a certain one. He purred lightly. The brown continued around until he found what he was looking for. There was a particularly good-smelling rider right here, helping someone. The brown found himself flapping his wings dry, and prodding at the female’s leg until he was noticed. Egg #6 Calm Brown Fire Lizard Looks to Arianne #996010 The egg that was knocked over by the now older brown looked to be fine, though there was no sound that came from the egg. Was it... Dead? Dead before it hatched? As if trying to disprove everyone, there was a faint clawing on the egg shell. While people watched, the fire lizard quickly broke free of the egg, his brown hide glistening with the various ‘goos’ that were present in the egg. He rubbed his head against the sand, as if having a headache. Already catching on, the brown snorted into the sands, and stood up tall. He watched the rest of his older clutchmates bond to those that attended the hatching, and felt that he should as well. He made a bit of a whining noise, then started forward with a bit of a skip in his step. The first person that he came to was the person that he was going to bond to. He happened across a young female with a green flitter of her own, from this hatching. Egg #3 Quiet Brown Fire Lizard Looks to Lesla #663300

Rider Nomics of Bronze Yurith Nomics looked up from his new addition in time to see the Gold hatch. She was gorgeous, a lovely specimen. He sent approving thoughts to Mari for a job well done in helping to sire all these colors. Four Bronzes and a Gold! Simply marvelous. Weyrling Shasta of Green Quith Shasta was struck dumb by the lovely Gold and when she flew to the Rider of Blue/Green Brynath, her heart went out to him. He really did deserve such a blessing, with all the help he had been giving the weyrwoman. Then she was distracted by a bunch of other eggs hatching. Two purplish Blues hatched and found their respective comrades. Some time went by, and Shasta was able to survey her surroundings. Everything was running smoothly and there were still three eggs left to hatch. She wondered who they were for when suddenly, one of the eggs started rolling about and then it broke and a lovely white speckled Blue emerged and began cleaning himself. The Green Weyrling found him quite endearing. He walked carefully about and then panned the crowd. His eyes landed on hers and he gave a contented rumble and launched for her. When he landed on her shirt, her other three flitters launched from their perches in fright. They winged about in agitation until curiosity won out and they landed again, arranging themselves so they could look at their new addition. As he clung to the front of her shirt and stared at her, Shasta was overcome with feelings of affection. He was so adorable! She scooped him up and searched about for some food for him. She grabbed a bowl from the ground and began feeding him. He crooned at her and stuffed his face happily. As he finished eating, she said, "Im gonna name you Flare, Because you've got pizazz." She smiled at him warmly and placed him in the crook of her arm. He peeped at her sleepily, but kept looking around as if there was too much to look at to be halted by dreaming. Weyrling Daniel of Blue Streeth "Fiddlesticks!" Daniel exclaimed as he heard a murmer go up around the nest. He assumed that was the Gold hatching. He set down the bowls quickly and rushed over to see her. When he finally got a glimpsed the nest he gasped at the beauty of the lovely Gold that stood there. Whoever gets her, he thought, is a lucky duck. He looked around at the entire proceeding and realized that he was one of the few who didnt get flitters. He snorted at that, as if it was to be expected. Oh, well. that just meant that none of those flitts was right for him. He was glad that all the fire lizards found friends. He smiled a little at all the various pairs, some with hoards of other flitts darting about their heads, while others seemed enraptured by the beautiful colors of their new charges. He noted that the coloration and patterns of this clutch were quite diverse. How intriguing.

Ember
With Debutante happily filling her decidedly rounded belly even more so, Ember finally felt she could relax a little- damn. Those little critters could eat a lot, couldn't they? Yeesh....babies. And then she heard a faint cheep of greeting, and her eyes met another rainbow-swirl pair of faceted eyes, as a little blue said 'hello', then demurely perched on her shoulder and waited for her to finish with his sister.
"Well, hello tho you to, little guy." Ember said, faintly stunned. But she couldn't help smiling. Debutante chirped in satisfaction and crawled down Ember's arm for a nap in the girl's lap, and Ember shifted just slightly to get food for the lovely blue who was waiting so patiently. "So." She said, popping a chunk of meat into the open mouth of the blue. "You'll need a name too. But what? You're nowhere near as pushy as she is, are you?" She thought for a second, then rubbed his nose fondly. "But what? Ah. I know. Cavalier. How do you like that?"
The blue stopped to swallow a large mouthful, but crooned. "Cavalier it is."
Ari
Ari grinned as a little blue purposefully impressed Ember- two? That was impressive, though it seemed the younger girl would have a handful in that little green. She turned away to refill the bowl of food, pausing only to watch a striking little brown hatch and knock over the last remaining egg in the clutch. She shook her head, a bit busy, and went back to what she'd been doing. Ember eventually picked a name for both flitters, and Ari moved back again, only to find something she nearly tripped over.
A pair of eyes was watching her, a pair of claws prodding her ankle. "Oh my." Was all she could muster. The brown and almost-black flit blinked at her patiently and fluttered his wings. Ari wondered for a moment who he could be looking for, then belatedly realized he was staring at the food in her hands. So she offered him a peice.
With a look that spoke volumes, the brown crawled up to her knee- she'd crouched to get a better look at him- and perched there. With a solemn warble, he leaned his head forward, inspecting her, then reached out his claws to take the food from her fingers.
He's chosen you, beloved. A bemused voice echoed throughout her mind. Dracouth was pleased with the little brown. "Oh...OH! Really? You're sure?" Of course. I am always sure.
The brown firelizard cocked his head in thought, seeming to listen to the elder and much large brown cousin of his. Then he burbled at Ari, and, without taking his eyes off her, stuffed another chunk of meat in his mouth from the pieces His continued to hand him.
"Well, if you say so, 'Couth." I do. "...as I said. He'll need a name." She stroked one wing-edge with her index finger, still crouched with the funny little creature on her knee. He was gorgeous, she decided, with runner-like marking of near-black socks on his feet and a lovely little mask like a hood over his head... heh. She knew what to name him.
Smiling slightly, she tapped his nose affectionately. "On Earth, there's a tale of a holdless man who helped the holder people he lived near by stealing marks and supplies from the evil Lord Holder. They called him Robin Hood, you know? But it's a big title for a little one like yourself. Do you think you can handle such a big name, my little bandit?"
The brown chirped again, and bobbed his head before springing to her shoulder to curl up comfortably, as if to say, 'of course.' "Yes. I think you'll do fine by that name."

Weyrwoman Faizah Faizah heard someone behind her; a squeak of a voice before it was cleared. She looked back to see Lawrence, holding a blue flitter that had hatched earlier. He nervously, but kindly and with patience, asked for a bowl of meat to feed the blue. Faizah smiled warmly as she handed him one of the bowls in her hands. "Why, of course, Lawrence." Just then she noticed her cousin holding a brown, and a gorgeous brown he was. The odd little thing was hiding himself in her cousins hair. Faizah smiled again. Before that smile could begin to fade, a dull wave of hunger hit her. Reyna was trilling. Faizah looked back to the gold egg. It had hatched, revealing an absolutely gorgeous gold. Her hide was a nice shade of gold, and her tail forks were white. Not a bad marking in her opinion. Far more modest and appealing than the speckled flitters that had hatched. But as the hunger Faizah had felt dimished, she knew it had to come from the gold hatchling. A bold little one. She smiled again. That hatchling was most definiatly Reyna's daughter. Llonatan He went over to the sides with his brown, still feeding the obviously shy Nathan. He sat down on the warm sands, noticing Mentari still where she was and feeding her green. He then looked over to the clutch still being guarded by Faizah's gold. The gold egg had hatched, and he felt a dull wave of hunger as the little gold came from her shell. she was pretty, but he had his hands full with his brown. Quite frankly, he didn't want another fire lizard; he was completely happy with his brown. Speaking which, after stuffing himself silly, Nathan had fallen asleep. He was still hidden beneath Llonatan's hair, but that didn't matter. The wher candidate watched as the gold Impressed to the man who had helped him with his egg. He smiled. An eccentric gold to an eccentric rider was a good match. Weyrling Mentari Mentari finished feeding Nicole, who promptly fell asleep in the crook of Mentari's arm. She looked around, having been so absorbed with her own flit that she had missed the remainder of the hatching. She smiled as she saw Brynath, Hy'ka and a brown flit gathered around what must obviously be the gold hatchling. They would make a great pair, and Hy'ka deserved the little gold. Mentari continued to look around. She spotted her cousin, Llonatan, on the outskirts by himself. There was a bulge in his hair, and she took it to be the flit he must have impressed. She got to her feet and went over to him. Once there, she sat down lightly next to her slightly older cousin. "What color did you get?" she asked politely.

(OOC: Sorry for the fail post. I just wanted Lesla's brown flit to be named.)
Lesla didn't think that she would Impress another flit when a brown flit clearly chose her as evidence of his rainbow whirling eyes. Before the flit could whine about being hungry, Lesla grabbed more meat from the bowl and fed the brown. "Hello there you handsome fellow." she softly said as she made sure that the flit didn't swallow his food whole
"Oh that's great, you Impressed a brown." A'ir said as he noticed the last brown flit Impress to Lesla. "What are you going to name?" he asked as he watched Lesla feed the brown.
Lesla smiled at A'ir at his comment about Impressing a brown. However, her mind came up blank when A'ir asked what she was going to name the brown. Her eyebrows came together in a frown as she thought hard and came up blank. She looked at A'ir and said, "I don't know. I'm coming up with nothing. What do you think would be a good name for him?" as she kept feeding the brown flit.
A'ir looked at the brown flit and said, "How about Dragomir? I think the name will suit him well." as he looked at Lesla.
Lesla thought over the name that A'ir gave to her. "Hmm..." she said as she considered the name. "Well, it's better than having to wait and coming up with a name for him later." she added in reply to A'ir. Then, looking at the brown flit, Lesla said, "From now on, you'll be Dragomir." as she gave the brown flit, now called Dragonmir, another piece of meat to eat.

Akira watched as the flits continued to hatch and petted Lilly as the little green purred happily. "You remind me of a cat...."
Lilly chirped happily and flew in lazy circles for a moment before returning to nibble on more meat. Just then the gold hatched, curious Akira watched it impress and grinned happy for the boy. She nuzzled Lilly and settled down to watch the hatching progress.
