Faizah carried the clean linens down the hall. Having finished all of her paperwork that morning, it was the lest she could to help out with other chores. Besides, she had been too wired from a pot of coffee for sleep. Despite Mira and Kain's objections.
Her arms were full with clean towels that needed to go into the linen closet. A wave of dizziness made itself quite obvious at the wrong moment. Faizah took a step and almost fell with the dizziness. She leaned against the wall at the last moment, trying desperately to keep herself upright and conscious. Faizah's firelizard, gold Reyna, popped out from between with a squawk.
Faizah shushed the alarmed gold. Still leaning against the wall, depending upon it to support her, Faizah allowed Reyna to land on her shoulder. Another moment and Faizah decided to try walking again. She pushed herself slowly away from the wall, glad when dizziness didn't overtake her again. With a small smile, Faizah continued onto the linen closet.
Putting away the clean linen was simple. Faizah clapped her hands together after her arms were free, then reached up and stroked Reyna's eye ridges. "You need to chill a little, girl." Faizah told her gold. Reyna just looked at Hers with eyes swirling a light red with yellow mixed in. Faizah shook her head and sent the gold off.
Feeling a new wave of dreaded dizziness coming, Faizah sat on the floor. She leaned against the wall for support and just closed her eyes; waiting for the dizzy spell to go away.
