((I think I'm alright to post here~ And I'm taking a stab at the fact that Liam's the tallest, too. Erm...nope, I'm right... He's just a bit taller than Kain...tell meh' if you need me to fix that, then.))
Skirth flared his wings proudly at the bronze's words. It still seemed as if the younger dragon had made some sort of idol out of the larger bronze; the black one certainly seemed to want to show off for Gorth at every possible turn, and certainly seemed awed and thrilled by the bronze's presence.
Thank you! But not so fearsome as you, I think. Any bronze on Pern would be shamed by you.

Liam looked slightly taken aback, and his eyes went wide as he completely forgot every single question that he had ever possibly wanted to ask.
"...ah..." He said eloquently. He stared at Hy'ka for a moment more, then shook his head, remembering.
"Well, now I feel like an idiot. But at least I remembered."
He pushed back from where he'd been leaning on one of the fences keeping the livestock in, and waved an arm at the dragons.
"These guys, the dragons. Why...how..." He made an annoyed noise as he tried to figure out how to ask this one.
"What makes them need us? Why do they impress? I mean, the fire lizards and those...lumpy things, I forget what they're called, they didn't all have human partners. What makes the dragons different?"
He avoided making eye contact with Hy'ka at that point, not sure how the Pernese weyrling would react to that sort of question. He'd seen the way most of the riders on Pern regarded their dragons, and every time he tried to ask Skirth, all he got was confusion, and sometimes sadness, as if the dragon seemed to think Liam were questioning his choice. It was hardly that way, but Liam was just so...baffled...at how something that was literally an alien creature could act as if he was the other half of Liam's...well, soul, for lack of a better term.
"Sorry...I...just don't get it. " He mumbled quickly, scrambling to think of anything else to cover the question. "And...uh...what IS the deal with those...thicker creatures? The ones with the small wings, ...whers, I thought they were called?"
He glanced over one shoulder as he saw a flash of color out of the corner of his eye; a young woman and her green approached. He would have give more attention to them, but a little blue something-or-other distracted him.
And began inspecting his head.
Liam stood rather still and waited for the blue to finish up, though he was hard-pressed to suppress a snort of laughter.
"Can I help you with something?" He asked the blue very courteously.
