Brownrider Y'ume After the commotion, Pouncer suddenly appeared from between and landed on Y'ume's right shoulder. The flit was confused at what just happened but also angry for the theft of the eggs. Y'ume made sure to calm the flit down before Pouncer started pouncing on hapless strangers in his anger. He had been so preoccupied that he almost missed what happened to the weyrling and the blue.
Y'ume jumped over the standing jostling Pouncer and making the blue flit fly overhead instead. By the time he reached the Weyrling, he heard the Weyrwoman say 'Send a flit.' in answer to someone's question. Y'ume surmissed that Faizah wanted the healers to come check out the weyrling. Calling for Pouncer and stretching his arm so that Pouncer has some place to land, he told the flit, "Go the Infirmary and get the healers. Send them this image" and Y'ume pictured the image of the downed weyrling in his mind and where they were to Pouncer, "and they'll know what to do."
Pouncer quickly memorized the image given to him by His. And with a chirp of acknowledgement that he knew what to do, he launched himself into the sky and went Between to the Infirmary and get the healers.
Y'ume moved near where the Weyrwomand and Weyrleader was, looking over at the young Weyrling. However, he noticed the panicking blue and he called over Firenth to help calm the young blue. Firenth, come cown here and help with this young Weyrling's dragon. I think the blue over there doesn't know what's happened to his Rider.[/i] Y'ume quickly assessed the young weyrling's injury and though he didn't like the blood coming out from the head, he didn't want the dragon to worry too much. So, he told his dragon, Let him know that his rider got knocked down and just unconscious.
When Firenth heard His' order, he glided down from the rafters to land near the panicking blue and only then noticed that the young blue was blind. Calm down, youngster. Yours is okay. Mine says that Yours just got knocked down and is unconscious. Firenth told the blind blue as he sent some calming vibes and hoped that the blue would stop his frantic search for the young unconscious weyrling.

There was an unfamiliar voice that spoke to him--one of a male dragon, and younger than him no doubt, but trying to act mature and grown up. This didn’t help the situation. Aricoth resisted the voice in his mind. He wanted to hear His, not another dragon! He needed a familiar voice. Someone else trying to contact him was not helping. You are not Mine. Where is Mine? The blue growled, furious but concerned for His. He was vaguely aware of Kain yelling out something, and Faizah mentioning holding someone’s head and neck still. However, Aricoth wasn’t about to stop his worried hunting until he was able to touch His. Ku’rt! Where is my Ku’rt? The blue flared his wings, ignoring the searing pain that coursed through his broken joints. He flapped his wings, fully prepared to take off. Mine is not here! They have taken him! he bugled, opening his maw in a roar. The blue reared up, only to fall forward again. His hind leg definitely was not going to hold his weight in that condition. KU’RT. About to unleash another mental barrage of words, Aricoth only calmed when the unfamiliar dragon’s voice entered the seclusion of his mind again, telling him that Ku’rt was found. Relieved, Aricoth calmed himself, and finally noticed the extent of his wounds. He shut his eyes, the left one of which had a scratch running vertically down it. Where is he? Where is my Ku’rt? he asked again, this time not in a fitful rage. The blue collapsed to the ground, exhausted and wanting to sleep, but he couldn’t. He couldn’t hear Ku’rt’s voice, and he wanted to know why. Turning to a dragon that he most recognized, and judging by the voice in his head, he didn’t leave the sands, Aricoth called to Surth, the white that was so nice to him when he first arrived at Rocky. Surth... Where is Ku’rt? Where is Mine? Why is he not talking to me? Is he alright? What is going on?Calm down, youngster. Yours is okay. Mine says that Yours just got knocked down and is unconscious. There was a slight change in the wind as the brown landed next to Aricoth. He shrunk away from the feeling, and the new speech. The knowledge that Ku’rt was alright was good, and welcome, but he still panicked. There were so many people and dragons around him... And he couldn’t find his. Were they lying? Did they not find him? They must have... Was he taken? With a low warble, Aricoth crumbled, falling to lie on the cold stones, and evidently in his own ichor. Where is he? he whined again, and inhaling deeply. He couldn’t smell him... Only the scents of different dragons, and weyr residents, all in such close proximity. Frightened away into between when the strange bronze dragon became too close for comfort, Luna now reappeared in the air above the sands, chittering wildly. Like the other flitters that were frightened, she was circling, eyeing the dragons and people below, and refusing to land. However, she noticed that hers was not moving, and the big blue cousin to her was gravely injured. Kreening, the green fire lizard spiraled downward, worriedly flitting about Ku'rt's head, very possibly an annoyance to all who were trying to help the weyrling. Momentarily overwhelmed by the disaster going on, and the worried trumpeting of the injured blue, Evander was hesitant to look up again. He liked holding onto his dragon, and losing himself in the chimera’s warm hide. “Tack...” he mumbled, tilting his head to look out to the side, towards the inside of the hatching sands. The injured blue was in the stands, and he didn’t want to see that sight. He had read about things, and watched shows that were as distressing and awful as this, but to experience it first hand was not something he wanted to see. And that could have been his own dragon. Gyerjtackalanth had hatched from the dropped egg. He could only wonder if his dragon was okay, or if the fall had damaged her. Sniffling, the Scot didn’t move, even though his knees were burning, and his dragon was shifting around an awful lot. “Tack, whit are ye doing? Why are ye moving around sae much?” E'nd, there is another dragon that hatched. From one of the cracked eggs... She squirmed, trying to get out of the weyrling’s grasp. It is white... And scared. It is not looking for it's. I want to see if there is something wrong. My clutchmate is already there. She managed to pull herself free, and stalked away, leaving Evander behind. “Gyerjtackalanth...?” Getting up from kneeling, Evander glanced over at where the green-brown was heading. Sure enough, there was a small white hatchling, with blue markings, that had hatched, and was now shyly sitting on the sands, with its head down, and not moving, instead looking very solemn and worried. The sight was not unlike what Evander had just saw up in the stands, with the blind blue. He looked away. “Tack...” Biting his lower lip and wincing, Evander let his dragon do what she wanted. Probably sensing distress from his owner, Paradron appeared again, landing on the Scot’s shoulder, and softly crooning. The green-brown looked back to see Evander not following, but didn’t question it. If you are sure, E'nd. She picked her way through the eggshells and unhatched eggs until she was by the white, and her brown-bronze brother. Clearly the more motherly of the two, Gyerjtackalanth sidled up close to the white, reassuringly nuzzling his wet hide. You are alright. I am sure Yours is here. You must find him first.

Fogleth's small bout of jealousy disappeared as he noted the fear and worry eminating from his clutchmate. Mine I want to help my clutchmate, his fear worries me. It is not good he doesn't know if his is here.
Akira looked harder and noticed the other hatchlings going to the white-blue dragon, she noded telling Fogleth to watch himself heading down to the hatchling. Noticing the blue was calmed down she saw his weakening legs, hoping he did not go down.
Fogleth slowly picked his way back to the nest looking at the new hatchling. Yours will come..... i am unsure what is going on too... it is strange to see eggs taken. It is wrong....
Fogleth cocked his head to the side, hoping the white-blue dragon would find his soon.
Akira watched the blue..... wishing help for his rider would come soon. Her stomach churned heavily.... never had she seen such carnage up close. The girl blinked her eyes trying to focus on calming her stomach before she threw up. 'I cannot believe being here would lead to seeing so much damage.....I thought....i thought...it would be different not this!' Her distress showed through in her eyes...and she ran a hand through her hair glancing around, unable to look at the blue anymore.

Cioeth, of course, had no concern for her blue-white brother. Either he would find somebody or he would not, and she had made sure to claim the best Candidate for herself.
As Tiffanie looked over, Cioeth nudged her firmly, making sure to draw the girl's attention back to the food that was now starting to swell the dragonet's belly.
There was chaos, but Cioeth would not let her focus, in the end, on anything but her. Probably for the best, for otherwise she might have cried for the stolen eggs and, possibly, for the white that might not find his.
But she had Cioeth, and that was all she needed. Nothing else could matter...for now.
Above, Ryath kept circling, unwilling to settle to the ledges until the Hatching was over and the dragonets moved to the shelter of the weyrling barracks. The brown wanted to flame somebody...

Ari and Dracouth She was furious. She burst in through the doors, and if she'd been a dragon, her eyes would have been a furious red. Unfortunately, her wrath was rather dampened by the slight trace of blood along her upper lip, and the weary look in her eyes- Dracouth had heard the commotion and freaked out, launching into the skies to follow the traitorous thieves, but his anger got the better of him...and the chaos and commotion from the other dragons as well.
Ari had felt her beloved dragon's mind faltering, and she ordered him to the ground just before one of his seizures hit him-hard. And that never end well for Ari. So here she was, freakishly late on the scene, still trying to clean up the remnants of a bad nosebleed. Dracouth had retied to his weyr, inexplicably ashamed, and he was sulking and utterly refused to speak with Ari at the moment...
She was all set to come in enraged and ready to go, but she found herself running smack into someone's chest...
R'ner and Noxceventh A boy collided with him, hard. He couldn't remember who he was for a moment, but if he was a candidate, he was laaaate...oh. And then Noxceventh informed him it was the young woman who rode the striped brown he saw frequently...
He grabbed the -ahem, Girl's- shoulders and steadied her, and she stared up at him- shards, she was short. She made as if to move past him, but he could see she was ailing from something, so he held her back. She gave him a dirty look, but she stopped.
Noxceventh rumbled softly, and tilted his head to lock his good eye on the remaining eggs. R'ner was alerted to the dragon's sudden preoccupation and glanced over the sands. A small white-blue dragon hatched, and he heard his own gasp of surprise.
Sure, the chimeras hatched previously were odd, but the mixture of white and blue on the hatchling's hide was... noteworthy. And, clever little demon he was, Noxceventh took the opportunity to shift down to a ledge just below and beside the panicking blue weyrling. Do not fear or worry, small one. Yours is not taken, he is nearby. He is... The mangled blue glanced around, searching, and caught sight of the weyrwoman near the young man who could only have been the paler blue's rider. He is with the Weyrwoman. Have trust in her. Yours is merely unable to speak to you. He is alright. Can you not see, little one? See.
Noxceventh reached his neck up, touching his torn muzzle to the worried blue's, and sent an image of Faizah leaning over Ku'rt, though a great deal of the damage was blocked by Faizah in the angle of this image. Noxceventh was not perhaps the most soothing of dragons, but he knew enough to not panic the young blue even more.
Candidate Ember
Ember was worried for the apparently terrified blue dragon on one of the ledges above. He'd been thrashing and crying out, but somehow it seemed another had comforted him, a large pale brown and a rather ... morbid-looking deep blue. She bit her lip, but said nothing- it wasn't exactly her place. Still, she worried and hoped his partner was alright...the sight of the leader, that woman with the red hair up and frantic on the ledge made her think this was more serious than they let on...
But she was a little distracted by the tiny egg that smashed open, and the blue and white striped arm the protruded from withing. Another baby dragon... but this little one seemed far less exuberant than the others... was it alright?

Weyrwoman Faizah and White Surth Surth heard Aricoth's question. He looked over at Faizah and Ku'rt, then sent the picture to the worried blue. He is safe. Mine is taking care of him.--- The white/blue dragonet looked at it's clutchmates gathered around it. There was a green/brown, a brown/bronze and a blue. They were telling him to find his. He looked around, looking at all the candidates about him. Then his eyes came to rest on a man there, not far from where the four dragonets were gathered. The white/blue's eyes began to swirl with rainbow colors. It didn't matter that this Candidate was already taken by one of it's clutchmates. No. A'ir-theirs was meant to have both of them. The white/blue approached A'ir shyly, his eyes still whirling rainbows. They were beginning to show more yellow of concern than rainbow though. The dragonet looked up. A'ir-mine? Xenosmayth is scared... What is going on, mine?White/Blue Xenosmayth "Shy, Unconfident, Reliable" Adult Size is 20ft Impresses to A'ir (HoukaRyuu) #f1f3ee to #0006eb

...had that boy just Impressed *two* dragons? And wasn't that against some kind of rule?
Tiffanie knew Cioeth would never, absolutely never, allow that to happen to her. She'd likely only tolerate Ditz in as much as the firelizard was her clear social inferior.
As was everyone else barring the golds, she thought with a bit of a smile. Oh, she and this dragon were going to have so much fun.
She did wonder about the stolen eggs. Hopefully, whoever stole them would at least keep them alive and give them somebody to bond to. Dragons were, she had been told, picky.
And now...now...what the heck? Tiffanie didn't know just how sacriligeous the white-blue's choice was, but she had been told it couldn't happen.
--
S'tor was on his feet. "Crazy dragon." He wasn't going to keep his voice that far down either, then he added. "Poor lad."
It wasn't...or was it? There had to be something *wrong* with the boy to get two Impressions. Or would one of them go Between? And if they didn't...twice the work of early weyrlinghood might well kill him!
"Crazy dragon," he repeated. Should have gone Between, clearly.
Should have...

Weyrling A'ir Brown-Bronze Rakymath & White-Blue Xenosmayth As A'ir stood not too far away from Rakymath with the other two dragonets, a green-brown and a blue, who were trying to help the white dragonet, A'ir was shocked to hear a different voice insinuate itself into his head that said, A'ir-Mine? Xenosmayth is scared... What is going on, Mine?
A'ir looked shocked, surprised, and confused as he watched the white dragonet slowly approaching him. His eyes were still round in shocked surprise as he looked down into the rainbow swirling eyes of the dragonet. It was a miracle, no, it was unheard of. There has been no record of anyone Impressing twice in one Hatching. But A'ir would not reject the gift of love that Xenosmayth offered as A'ir drowned in the swirling rainbow eyes full of love that looked up at him. The two buckets of chopped meat silently fell upright on the sand from nerveless fingers on either of A'ir's side as his legs gave out and he ended up kneeling in front of Xenosmayth.
Rakymath left the other dragonets to follow after his white brother, who was slowly approaching His. When his white brother stopped in front of His with swirling rainbow eyes, he looked from His then to his white brother. Like His, Rakymath was privy to what Xenosmayth had sent to His or... Theirs, since his brother had also chosen to Impress to A'ir-Mine. If he was a different dragon, he would have confronted his brother for daring to choose one whom Rakymath had already chosen as His. And maybe, there was something wrong with Rakymath for the Brown-Bronze dragonet didn't so much as question the Impression but readily accepted the bond that now also formed between His and his brother, Xenosmayth. The new bond was just as deep as his own bond with His... Theirs. For whatever reason, Rakymath felt glad that Xenosmayth found Theirs even if it meant they would share the love between Theirs. And he knew by instinct, that should something happen to him right that second, Xenosmayth will be there to make sure nothing happens to Theirs.
A'ir looked from Rakymath then to Xenosmayth. Aloud he said, "I don't know how this is possible, Raky, but your brother, Xeno, also Impressed on me." but looking more towards Rakymath. "I cannot reject Xeno." A'ir added as he looked back at Xenosmayth with loving eyes. A'ir slowly got his arms around the white dragonet to give Xenosmayth a warm embrace. To Xenosmayth, A'ir said, "It's alright, Xeno. I'm here and Raky is here as well. You don't have to be afraid. We'll take care of you." as he sent his own love and acceptance of the bond towards Xenosmayth. However, when Xenosmayth asked about what was going on, instead of telling him about the theft of the eggs, A'ir diverted Xeno's attention to something more practical. With two dragonets Impressed on him, both their hunger were beating at A'ir and he felt as if he was starving when he had just eaten dinner not too long ago.
Rakymath looked with approval in his gaze as he watched Theirs give his tiny brother an embrace. He then walked as near as possible to Theirs and Xenosmayth and tried his best to give both his own version of a hug by trying to bet his wings to go around Theirs and Xenosmayth. Not succeeding with what he had wanted to do, he stopped and just crooned his pleasure.
A'ir felt Rakymath trying to give him and Xenosmayth a hug. He felt fortunate to have Impressed Rakymath who didn't seem to mind having to share with Xenosmayth. After Rakymath stopped trying to hug them, he said, "Thanks for being so understanding, Raky." to his brown-bronze dragonet. Giving the brown-bronze dragonet a hug as well.
Everything is as it should be, Mine. Rakymath replied to Theirs.
Xenosmayth felt a little better at receiving love and acceptance from Theirs and his big brother Rakymath didn't seem to mind that he had also Impressed to Theirs. He looked back at the other dragonets that had tried to help him find His... Theirs. He softly said, Thank you. to the other two dragonets. He focused his attention back and just then noticed the buckets of chopped meat. He approached one and took a sniff at the contents. The smell made Xenosmayth remember how hungry he was and he worriedly said to Theirs, A'ir-Mine, I am feeling empty in my middle. Is something wrong with me?
When Rakymath heard his brother mention about empty middles, he was reminded of his interrupted meal as well. I agree. My middle also feels empty, A'ir-Mine. Rakymath also said to Theirs just as his stomach made a rumbling noise.
A'ir released Rakymath, glad that both dragons were both distracted by hunger without him having to remind them about it. He grabbed for the nearest bucket of chopped meat on his side. "That's because the two of you are famished. Xeno, you haven't eaten anything and Raky, your meal got interrupted earlier." A'ir said as he grabbed a piece of chopped meat. He offered to Xenosmayth first, who gobbled on it. Grabbing another piece of meat, he offered to Rakymath who chewed on it. To Xenosmayth, A'ir said, "Careful now Xenosmayth. Make sure you chew the meat first before you swallow like how Rakymath is chewing his meat first." as he gestured to a chewing Rakymath. Before either dragonet could ask for more, he said, "Come on, you two. Let's move to someplace where I can feed you in peace." as he stood up and grabbed the two buckets of meat. He took a step towards the Stands and looked back to make sure his two dragons were following him.
After Rakymath chewed first before swallowing his piece of meat, he waited for his brother to swallow as well before getting up to follow after Theirs. He walked side by side with his little brother, even draping a protective wing over the tiny white dragonet as they slowly walked towards the Stands.
Xenosmayth looked at Rakymath and followed his example of chewing. After he swallowed his first piece of meat, he stood up as well to follow after Theirs. He walked beside his big brother and felt safe when he felt Rakymath drape a wing over him.

Aricoth didn’t hear the zombie blue move, being too deep into his own thoughts at worries to care about that. Exhausted, the blind blue lay on the floor of the stands, limbs gently shaking. Even if he wanted to stand, the blue doubted he would be able to keep himself upright. The elder blue’s voice entered Aricoth’s mind, and he mentally flinched again. Another unfamiliar voice... Another dragon he didn’t know, and didn’t want to try to talk with. I want my Ku’rt...[/i] he murmured, tiredly closing his eyes, and unsuccessfully folding broken wings against his back. The blue was content to lay there and drift into an uneasy sleep, but there was a touch of damaged flesh on his muzzle, at which Aricoth’s eyes popped open, and he instantly tried to scramble away. He had received the image from the older blue, but the touch was too much. He squirmed, wiggling broken limbs that screamed out in pain. No no no! Where is Mine? he pleaded, a certain tinge of fear settling into his voice. He wanted His! And only the touch of His... Aricoth tried to stand again, using all his willpower, and tried to find his again. The blue’s tail thrashed, sweeping out behind him in an unconscious attempt to keep others away. Ku’rt... Ku’rt... Where are you Kurt...? the dragon murmured, clearly getting tired, and wanting to sleep. The more deep wounds were still bleeding, though the scratches had already started to scab over. Hearts now slowing down after the initial shock of being touched, Aricoth allowed himself to lay back down, hardly noticing the fact that his own ichor was staining his pale hide, possibly making him look the most grotestque of the dragons there, though Noxceventh was a good comparison. Aricoth exhaled forcefully, closing his milky-white eyes, and resigning himself to rest, content that no one was going to bother him, and Surth had reassured the blue that Faizah was taking care of His. The green-brown chimera nosed her younger sibling gently, as if urging him to pick a candidate. There were still a number of candidates around the sands, though Gyerjtackalanth noticed that they had inched away from clutches; probably still wary that rogue dragonriders would try to steal more eggs. If the injured blue was anything to go off of, no one wanted to end up like him. Tack felt Evander’s mind crying out for the blue, and she crooned softly, but to the white-blue dragonet. Go on, she offered helpfully as the dragonet pulled away. Find yours. He is here. The green-brown dragonet stepped back as her clutchmate looked around, taking in each dragonet that had come to his aid. Gyerjtackalanth nodded, gesturing for the young white to go on. He did so, and Impressed himself upon the young weyrling who already had the brown-bronze. Satisfied that he had picked a person to bond to, though the pairing was a bit odd, even for the newly hatched dragonet. It wasn’t long before Tack made her way back to Evander. “He Empressed tae Adair,” he commented on in shock. That was unheard of, until now. He faintly realized that here were a number of people in the stands that were chattering away about the odd pairing, at which Evander had to think over. He felt like everything he knew before was now wrong, and he had to regain all the knowledge... But there was a grumbling in the green-brown dragon’s belly, and the Scot looked down at her. “Hungry?” he asked, though he knew the answer. “Ah’m sorry... Ah’ll feed ye right away.” Evander bit his lip again as he did his best to not look back, wondering if the pale blue was alright. No longer did the blue seem to be screaming in everyone’s mind, or verbally yelling. Did he... Die? Evander wondered, though he had heard that dragons would keen if that happened, and there seemed to be an uneasy peace over the sands. Not yet had anyone passed away, and Evander felt grateful. He led Tack over to where the food was being kept, and steering clear of the other weyrling pairs, the Scot picked up a bucket of meat, and began to feed his charge.

Nocia tried to remain calm, but Sasath's fury and distress were starting to get to her. An egg, cracked by the fall of the egg that had produced the green-brown, released a white paw with blue stripes. The white-blue wandered the sands for a time before shocking the entirety of the Weyr. He Impressed to A'ir, who had already Impressed to the brown-bronze hatchling. Was something wrong with the white-blue to make him Impress to a boy already claimed by one of his brothers?
Sasath slowed her frantic circling and creeling simply because her muscles would not hold up to the wild turns. As large as some very small browns, Sasath could beat almost all blues in stamina, but compared to her brothers, her agility was relatively lacking. The female blue was almost crazy with worry. She could chew and flame and clutch. She was different, more like her brothers in fertility than a green, not sterilized by firestone. Firestone, why was there no firestone here? She could have given the thieves marks to remember if she'd had firestone. The thieves were away, but if she ever saw them again, the female blue would do her very best to have their heads on a platter.
Sasath dropped down towards the sands, making sure to avoid coming too close to the unhatched eggs. None of them seemed to be moving now, but that might not mean the hatchlings inside were dead. Whites could not break their shells on their own and so far it seemed white chimeras were the same. Maybe all the babies needed was a little help. She could ask the mothers. If they said no, then the babies were no worse off, but if they said yes, she might help them come out.
Isath, Raynith, none of the eggs are moving now but there still might be live hatchlings inside some of them. Would you be upset if I tried to help them hatch? Whites can't break shell on their own and the white-blue couldn't either so there could be live whites or white chimeras in those eggs.

Isath heard the blue female. She looked up with a snarl forming in her throat at the blue's question. She roared at the female who dared ask to come near her clutch. Of course you may not! Do not come near my eggs! While Isath wouldn't allow the blue near, it wasn't purely her over-powering protective insticnt. Inside, a small part of the green-gold, just could not bear it to see any more of her children gone and she unable to help them. If there was a dead hatchling within the eggs, Isath did not want to know. --- Raynith looked longingly at her two remaining eggs. Hatch, please, The green mother thought to herself. She had laid so few eggs, and only one had hatched while the other had been stolen. Could she bear it if her hatchlings were dead in their eggs? She must, she told herself. If there was any chance that one of her young was alive in there, then she must help them. Raynith swung her head up to the blue Sasath. Yes. Come help me, Sasath.Without waiting for the other female to land, Raynith approached her clutch and began to gently claw at one egg. If the hatchling was alive, she didn't want to injury it.

Wherhandler Samari & Gold Samarsk Back in the den of Samari and Samarsk, Samarsk woke up in anger as she could feel Hers' sadness. Who would dare to make Hers sad? Samarsk thought to herself as she stomped out of their den and out into the Weyrbowl. It took her a minute to get used to seeing everything flat and not panicking over it, but Hers needed her and she angrily stalked towards the Hatching Sands with her tail flicking angrily behind her. She didn't care in the least if her tail knocked over someone as she passed by the tunnel halls, all she cared about was getting to Hers as fast as possible. Samarsk arrived in chaos and Hers in tears near the entrance of the Hatching Sands. With a bellow of rage, she dashed forward intent to giving bodily harm to anyone who had made Hers cry.
Samari gasped as she heard an all too familar bellow of rage from behind her and she saw her Gold dashing towards her with red angry eyes. Not wanting to cause anyone trouble, Samari ran to meet her irate wher, her grief over the stolen eggs forgotten as she tried her best to soothe the ruffled feathers of Samarsk.
"Samarsk! Stop! Everything is okay. Calm down." Samari shouted at the still bounding Samarsk as she wiped away at her tears. She had positioned herself smack center of Samarsk's route, and if the wher didn't stop, she'd get run over.
Upon seeing Hers stop in the center of her route, Samarsk had no choice but to slow down and stop or she'd be running over Hers. When she could nuzzle Hers, she asked, Why sad? Why cry? Then, looking beyond Hers and noticing the commotion, she asked, What happened? as she made sure that Hers was not physically hurt and that Hers was no longer crying.
Samari let Samarsk nuzzle her and buried herself in Samarsk's neck as she clung to her wher. She needed to get herself together so that Samarsk would not go on a rampage over something that's already past. When she heard Samarsk's questions, Samari just could not let her beloved wher know of what happened just recently.
"It's nothing really. I was just so moved about the white dragonet who Impressed to a Weyrling who had already Impressed a dragon earlier. I was moved to tears because that Weyrling was willing to accept the second Impression." Samari said as she pointed at the Weyrling who was either lucky or unfortunate enough to Impress two dragons.
Weyrling Lesla Green Houkath After Lesla was sure that her dragon didn't feel too bad about what happened, she turned her attention back to the Hatching. In the chaos, she wondered if the rest of the eggs were okay, but with most of them no longer, she highly doubted if any of the rest would still hatch. She, along with most of those attending, was verily shocked when A'ir managed to Impress not one, but two dragons. She wondered how he was doing with the bond that was shared not between two minds, but between three minds instead.
She was happy for him and his new dragonets, but another commotion caught her attention as she saw one of the blue weyrlings approaching the clutch. She wasn't really sure what the blue weyrling dragon intended to do, but Lesla doubted if the clutchmothers would suffer any other dragon approaching their eggs even if they weren't strangers. And her logic was proved as one of the dragons, Green-Gold Isath barred the blue weyrling dragon from coming to near the Green-Gold's clutch. Lesla wondered what to do now that the Hatching as been disrupted. She wanted to help out A'ir with his two dragonets, but she wasn't sure if the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader might order the other dragonriders and older Weyrlings to do some task for them.
Houkath felt relief as she felt Hers sent her love and reassurance for something that she wasn't able to stop from happening. When Houkath was more composed, she looked down into chaos but unable to hear what in Faranth was going on. She could still feel Seichou on top her head and was silently thankful that the brown flit had chosen to stay with her. She gave the flit a silent thank you and wondered what to do now. There were lots of agitated dragons, and a few that have been injured as she could see one dragon who was bloody with ichor. For the moment, she opted to stay where she and Seichou was, up in the ledge where they had a good view of the eggs still left in the Hatching Sands.

Akira watched as the new chimera impressed and couln't help but to wonder how the boy was going to handle two baby dragons as she moved next to Fogleth petting him gently on the head. His arrow facinated her, but her attention was diverted when the green started to gently claw at the remaining eggs. ' I hope she doesn't find dead little ones,...not after seeing some kidnapped.'
Fogleth nudged Akira gently and looked up at her worry in his eyes. Are you okay Mine? Your Fogleth doesn't like seeing his upset.
Akira smiled gently and reassured her little blue she was alright as she continued to stroke his head.

Wherling Guin and Bronze Guinsk In his effort to calm down Guinsk, Guin didn't really witness the double Impression. By the time he was able to focus once more on the clutches, there was a blue weyrling trying to approach the eggs. He shook his head at the folly of the young dragon. He didn't think that any other dragon would be able to get near those eggs after what just happened. And since he and Guinsk were rather near the Green-Gold's clutch, Guin suggested to Guinsk that they had better go. He wasn't sure their presence being near the clutch would be viewed as harmless or dangerous. After all, dragons kind of look down on the whers for some reason that Guin still didn't know the cause of. When things seemed to have settled down, Guin asked Guinsk, We probably should get out of here now. What do you think Guinsk? You all set to go?
Guinsk was still pretty mad but has made himself calm down a bit. He really wanted to do something but as His had logically pointed out, they really can't do anything about it. Only the dragons and Theirs could do anything to right the wrong that was done. At least in Guinsk's opinion, of course he doesn't know that the dragonriders were also helpless against the egg thieves since the perpetrators escaped between. Then, at His' question, he replied with, Yes, I'm ready. With a depressed rumble, Guinsk got up to trudge away from the Hatching Sands with His walking beside him in companionable silence.
Rider Y'ume and Brown Firenth Y'ume was too concerned about the young weyrling who had gotten hurt. He waited for Pouncer to come back with the news that he had successfully called for the healers. He looked around wondering what he could do to help calm down the chaos left behind. The Hatching seemed to over since he didn't notice any of the eggs left were still rocking or shaking. Noting a young blue dragon approaching the clutch, he was of a mind to tell his rider to call the blue weyrling dragon off. He surely didn't want the clutchmothers getting more irate than they already were at having their eggs stolen. However, the situation with the blind blue was more immediate and he asked Firenth to keep an eye on the injured blue dragon.
Y'ume approached the Weyrleader who was currently holding the unconscious weyrling. "I've asked my flit Pouncer to get a healer here. Hopefully they'll arrive as soon as possible." Y'ume said as he also assessed the injury done to the young weyrling. He didn't like the blood seeping out of the head wound. But hopefully, the healers here on Earth would have better knowledge and medicine. He hoped to Faranth that nothing physically debilitating will happen to the weyrling as a result of the head wound.

Amelia was shell shocked. Literally. She felt as if she couldn't move or breathe when the dragons had stormed the hatching. Strangers that they were to the Weyr proper there had been no way for Amelia to have known the theives had also been strangers. Tardith had not even bothered with words instead launching himself furiously after the dragon who had taken the egg from Rayniths clutch. But it had been a futile effort. When they had gone between he had dejectedly dropped back to the nearest ledge and sat there trembling with rage and sanrling at them wordlessly. Eventually he seemed to hear Amy calling him and he dropped back down to join her. She just murmured her sympathies and pointed to Raynith and where the green pawed at the remains of her clutch.
"Go. I know you want to." was all the copper haired woman rider said.
Tardith had just lowered his head and jumped to the sands. He stopped a moment to nuzzle Raynith sympathetically before suspiciously eying the other blue and then gently tapping the other remaining egg with one claw. He desperately hoped he would hear a familiar scratching and clicking of an unhatched dragon within.

Raynith crooned sadly as Tardith appeared beside her, tapping at the egg. She had aslso noticed his glance at Sasath. She felt she had to explain to him that Sasath was no threat to the remaining eggs. She did so, assuring her mate that Sasath was a resident of the Weyr. At the same moment her claw punctured the egg shell that she had been scratching at. There was a still blue hide within. Not a sound from the hatchling. Nothing moved.
Raynith nudged what remained of the egg, urging the hatchling to move. To find His. After a moment of silence and stillness from the hatchling, Raynith crooned again, in an even more saddened tone. Her anguish could reach some of the closer spectators as she broadcast it.

Themorn scowled. There seemed no hope that he would actually Impress here, at this Hatching. The age of which he would not be allowed to Stand would be coming soon, and he needed to either Impress already, or leave and get back to his studies.
Why, truly, why, did that silly broze have to go up to him, of all people? Couldn't it have been Jamor, at least? He came from a line of riders, so why, blast it, not? He was trying, of all things to get his Mastership, obtain access to AVIAS, learn as much as he possibly could about fighting the sicknesses that had taken his parents and so many of his Hold.
Of course, he could stay here. If he did, he could, perhaps, learn all this world knew. And, seeing the instruments he had seen in the infirmary, they knew quite a bit.
Oh, all right, he was belligerent, stubborn, determined, and probably a fool. But at least he tried.
He had rallied the healers on the Sands when the egg-nappers had appeared, asnd had himself gone to look at the fallen and crashed eggs, some of which he determined would never hatch to reveal the dragonets hidden inside. Then, the Healers finally working coopperatively under his scowl, he had observed the sands as egg after egg had hatched, and dragonet after dragonet had Impressed to weyrling after weyrling.
It seemed no more would hatch. With a growling "har-umph" he turned and began to walk toward the exit, stopped as Marith growled at him and told him, rather sternly, to get back, because at least one more egg would hatch. At least he hoped. With a sigh he turned back, watching, secretly hoping, he would have to honor to Impress.

None of the eggs were moving any more. Isath had turned away from her clutch, hiding her head under her wing as she mourned the loss of some of her eggs. Even Nakia was unable to console the Chimera mother. Raynith was farring no better. She had opened the other egg to find another still blue hide. Kumiko had tears running down her face as she felt the pain of her bonded. Chaos still reined as people talked about the events of the hatching. But perhaps there was still hope... A single egg began rocking. It rocked hard, hairline cracks appearing as the dragonet fought the prison that was it's egg. It showed great determination as it began to growl, working at the cracks it could see in the shell. More cracks appeared before anyone noticed what was happening. Faizah looked over to the egg, the single motion catching her attention. Her mouth gaped open, disbelief written on her face. Surely, after all that had happened, there couldn't be another Impression. But she secretly hoped that the single egg would hatch. "Come on... Hatch..." She whispered her encouragements. Kain heard Faizah's whispers, and he followed her gaze to the sands. When he saw the shaking egg he jumped to his feet, pulling a knife out of his pocket. Faizah was up and grabbing his arm within a second. "What are you doing?!" She yelled. "I'm going to make damn sure that egg hatches. Let go of me Faizah!" He yelled back, trying to pull his arm from her grasp. "You can't!" Faizah yelled. "It has to hatch on its own. It's not a white! Look inside the cracks. The hide is dark." She argued. "We can only help whites hatch!" She insisted. The yelling match between the Weyrleaders turned heads. Mentari looked with horror from her seat. Nakia turned from Isath to her sister. With a gasp she noticed the rocking egg. "Isath! Your egg!" She yelled to the mourning mother. Isath turned her head to glance with one grey whirling eye at the mentioned egg. When she noticed it's shaking she perked up a bit. She leaned over and nudged the egg. Nakia remained by Isath's forelimb, whispering almost the same words Faizah had. "Hatch little one... Hatch for us..." Almost as if it could hear the urgings of those around it, the dragonet doubled it's attempts to free itself. The cracks widened, and just as Faizah had said, the hide visible was dark. The growling grew in intensity until finally the dragonet emerged from the egg with a shower of shell. A dark dragonet with almost cream colored markings. It was on the large side, about as big as a normal bronze dragonet. Isath hummed with pride in her son, for she could instinctively tell the dragonet was male. The young hatchling made a show of drying his wings as he practically pranced forward. Th'orn? Where are you mineTh'orn? The dragonet called out. Determination rang out through it's voice. I must find you, mine. If the thieves come back I must be near you so they do not steal mine...The dragonet wandered the sands for a moment, but it was obvious he was heading for the boy the closest to the entrance. He walked up to the Pernese boy and nudged him on the hip before sidling up next to him. Equinoth has found you, mineTh'orn. The dragonet declared as it looked up at Themorn with whirling rainbow eyes. Equinoth Determined, Protective, Strict Adult Size: 37ft

Themorn glared angrily at the unhatched eggs, knowing that perhaps, if they had hatched, he would have Impressed. But he had no true hope now. Not one egg moved in the double hatching, and not one dragonet emerged. He looked away as he heard the anguished cries of the two mothers and saw the tears on the faces of so many.
He sighed. He would wait, he supposed, until he was allowed to leave. But when would that happen?
As he sat there, stern face made up as he watched with hawk eyes the healers that were slowly moving toward the rest of the eggs, he became aware that Mint was humming somewhere above his head, and a slow chant had begun. A chant for an egg...to hatch?! He whipped his head around, raking the motionless eggs oneby one and finally finding the rocking shell. He stepped forwar, ignoring the shouting of the Weyrwoman in his focus.
The egg exploded, and in its place stood a dragonet unlike any he had seen before.
Th'orn? Wher are you mineTh'orm?[/b] a voice suddenly said. The healer blinked. I must find you, mine. If the thieves come back I must be near you so they do not steal mine....[/i][/b] He stared, at a loss. Th'orn? he wondered. Does he mean me? He watched the creamy grey dragonet as it steadilly marched towards him. Finally it stopped, butting his head against his lknee. Equinoth has found you, mineTh'orn.[/i][/b]
The healer stared at the rainbow eyes, and felt a smile tugging at his lips. He had not expected this, and had not in any way thought it would actually happen, but he was glad it had. He glance behind, noting the smug look on Marith's face. She had been right, and he was glad she had stopped him from leaving. "My friend, you need food!" he said sternly, gazing down at the glistenning figure before him. "come to think of it, so do I. Shall we?"
