Garrik rarely slept heavily, but this was an exception. He felt oddly drained, but exceptionately pleased at the same time. Or was that something bleeding over from Garrisk?
At that point, he stirred enough to realize that there was someone curled up next to him. And that someone had a distinctly feminine curve. His eyes snapped open and he looked at the person snuggled up to him, noticing Virika's black hair.
A deep red flush crept up onto his cheeks and even up to his ears as he remembered what had happened the night before. Or morning...he couldn't remember when he had been awoken by that nightmare. All that occured to him right now was that he had obviously spent the night with Virika, and he feared what her family would think.
Then it occured to him that he truly didn't care what they thought anymore. He just worried what Virika thought now. With a slight start, he even realized he might even feel a little possessive over the woman in his bed. But she had chosen him, not the other way around.
((Wow, my Garrik muse is everywhere tonight.))

Virika roused slowly, feeling the warmth of another body close to hers. She didn't open her eyes, but instead burrowed closer to the warm body. She knew, unconsciously, that the person next to her was Garrik. It made her feel safe, snuggled up next to him.
She took a moment to gather her thoughts. They had spent the night together. Or morning. They had spent the wherling equivalent to the night with each other. She smiled at the thought, opening her eyes to glance up at Garrik. This felt nice, waking to him. She wanted to wake to him every day of the rest of her life.
Such a thought was a little disarming to Virika.
She stretched a little, smiling up at a blushing Garrik. She had forgotten his awkwardness with women, and she lost a bit of her smile. "Is something wrong?" She asked, more than a little afraid that his hesitances from the previous night had come back.
She sat up and looked at him. She worried deeply that he would ask her to leave. But if he asked, she would leave. It was up to him...

Garrik was snapped out of his thoughts as he felt Virika stir and snuggle closer to him. He shifted slightly so she could get closer yet, then he looked down at her and gave her a small smile. "No, nothing's wrong. Just. Well, I think you know why I'm blushing. Anyway, how are you feeling?" he asked.
He didn't want Virika to leave, but a low growl from his stomach reminded him that they would probably have to get dressed and head down to the dining room eventually.
((My muse went blah. x.x))

((Lol. Is there any Weyr resident that doesn't wake up hungry?))
Virika smiled again. "I feel wonderful. You?" She asked.
She heard his stomach growl, and she couldn't help but giggle a bit. She, herself, was a little on the hungry side. Just not enough that her stomach was being vocal about it.

Having spent years with little supplies, Garrik was used to feeling hungry, and could ignore it. However, he smiled down at Virika when she asked about him.
"I feel...How to put words to it? Smitten, I suppose would suffice," he grinned before leaning down and pressing a light kiss first to Virika's forehead, then her lips. He then stretched, feeling sleep-loosened muscles tighten in preparation for use. But for the moment, he had no plans to move if he could help it.
((Lol, I don't know.))

Virika's grin turned comical in it's exuberance. She leaned up to meet him as he first pressed a kiss to her forehead, then to her lips. Virika was so excited her entire body felt like lightning was racing over it. She snuggled a little closer to Garrik.
"Smitten is a nice word." She whispered to him. "I think I'm a little smitten too." She said, looking up at him with adoring green eyes.
((Sorry about the crappy post. Virika muse isn't cooperating.))

If Garrik wasn't lost before now, staring down into those green eyes was the final straw. He felt his heart just melt, and pulled Virika close. It was merely a hug, but he was finding he was liking the contact either way. "Indeed, smitten is a nice, and appropriate, word," he muttered.
((And Garrik muse went: Flop.))

Virika nodded in agreement, hugging Garrik back. She didn't dare talk at that moment, afraid that she would ruin the moment. She didn't want to ruin the moment. This was one of the best times of her life. She really liked Garrik, and she hoped he liked her too.
She leaned her head against his shoulder, closing her eyes and absorbing the feeling of being in his arms. She had never felt so good before. She didn't remember the last time she felt like she belonged somewhere. But being in his arms felt right, and it felt like she belonged there. She smiled a little.

Garrik let himself drift with the feeling of sheer content that was wrapping them both in its safe, warm arms. And then the moment was ruined as Garrik's stomach growled at them once more.
The platinum blonde sighed. "Well, I suppose we should feed the bear before the bear becomes angry, and I'm sure the fox could use some nurishment as well," he said, looking down at her and smirking slightly. And to him, indeed she was a fox. Well, more like a cunning vixen who had tempted him one too many times.
"And I don't know about you, but I really don't want to move."
((Don't know where my muse was going with that...))

Virika shook her head, snuggling a little closer to Garrik. "You're right. I don't want to move either..." She whispered.
He had called himself a bear. Which meant she must be the fox. Virika giggled slightly. She never would have referred to herself as a fox, but the more she thought about it, the more she liked that image. She would have called herself a cat, but never a fox, and the fact that she liked the image of herself as a fox was interesting to her. She giggled a little more.
"Nope. Don't want to move." She sighed, laying her head on Garrik's shoulder.
