History: Born and raised on Pern to a family of farmers on the Keroon plains, Ziervan grew up with an appreciation for the land and its fruits. He was a hard worker but still had a sharp mind on his shoulders. He was often called upon to complete complicated and difficult tasks that his parents and neighbors felt they could entrust to nobody else.
He was brought to Iglen Weyr at the age of twelve but was unable to impress. The weyrleader saw his potential and sent him to every hatching after, to no avail. Frustrated, but knowing that this boy was meant to have a dragon, The weyrleader and weyrwoman decided to take him to Rocky. Maybe he'd find his partner there.
