Appearance:
Like most red heads, the first thing most people notice about Gregory is his hair. Although it is not some fiery shade of red, it stands out in a crowd with its soft strawberry coloration and naturally deep red highlight its quite a spectacle to behold when tousled and mussed. Because of his military background, Gregory has always worn his hair short, but since coming to the Weyr he has let it grown until it hangs in a shaggy mess that he is constantly sweeping back off his face.
Even though Gregory isn't a child anymore, there is something cherubic in his soft face with its soft curves and rounded chin. The only part of his face that doesn't look as if it contains remnants of baby fat are his high and angular cheek-bones.
Above those sharp zygomatic protrusions are a pair of dark evergreen eyes. His eyes are so dark in contrast with the rest of his complexion that they stand out almost comically against his milky white skin.
Although Gregory is not the tallest of men at only 5' 3", he is very built, and his whipcord lean muscle can be seen straining just underneath his skin.

History: Gregory was born in Columbus, Georgia on Fort Benning to a deeply patriotic mother. His mother is a LTC in the army and mails her 'baby' every chance she gets. Gregory has no recollection of his father because of his parent's nasty divorce when he was still an infant. If he asks his mother why she got a divorce, she'll playfully answer, "He just didn't love this country enough." Gregory doesn't know what that's supposed to mean, but suspects his father to have betrayed his country in some way.
Gregory was finishing up college at North Georgia Military College, having been accepted at a stunningly young age, and was going to join the army like his mother when he accentually found out about the Rocky Weyr. His mother had been one of the ones distributing the firelizard eggs when Gregory Imprinted one without warning. Shortly afterwards, Gregory was taken to Pern in order to Impress a dragon. He Impressed a Green much to both his delight and chagrin. His stay on Pern was a short one.
