History: His parents were severe nature fanatics, and when they married they decided to leave normal society. Themselves and a few other people went to the Rocky mountains and began a life of living as the cave men did. It worked well for them, each person bringing something to the table as they all shared caught and gathered food.
Tsume was born in the third year of this group's "natural life". He was the second baby born, but the only one to make it to five years old. Everyone loved him, and they raised him as if he belonged to everyone there.
When Tsume was ten years old he started training as a hunter, instead of going with his mother to gather herbs and vegetables with the other women. His father started training him. But no one knew that disaster would befall the small village.
Tsume and his father were practicing hunting when it happened. A rabid grizzly went through the village, killing everything that moved. Tsume and his father came home at that exact time. His father, in a rage, attacked the bear and managed to kill it by sheer luck. But his own life was sacrificed in the event.
Tsume mourned over his parents for a few weeks, burying the entire village to keep their bodies from being pillaged by scavengers. When he was done, he took stock of what he had. A very young puppy, some grains and vegetables and a skittish foal. He had almost all the tools and a few of the weapons that hadn't been destroyed.
Tsume continued his life, training the dog and the horse so he could use them for a variety of things. The dog helped him hunt, as did the horse to a degree, and they helped him move his catch. They also helped him with gathering food. All in all, the animals had proved to be very useful animals.
When Tsume reached the age of seventeen he came across something strange. As isolated as he was in the mountains, it was a miracle that he hadn't come across them before. But he eventually did come across the dragons that had been hiding in the mountains, supported by the government. Tsume had been in such awe, looking up at the flying form of a dark bronze dragon, that he stepped back and right off a small cliff.
He landed at the bottom, on his shoulder, and was knocked unconscious. He woke to find a Native American looking man leaning over him, a small smirk on his face. Tsume next noticed that his shoulder was bandaged and casted, by the feel of it.
"You ripped your rotator cuff. Our doctors have managed to bandage it, but you have to be careful about moving it." The man said.
Tsume later learned his name was Kain, and that he led the village of dragons and their riders. Kain asked Tsume to stay with them, take the chance of Impressing one of the dragons, and that's when Tsume explained about how he had been living. Kain was very agreeable, and again asked Tsume to stay.
Tsume agreed, and he and Kain went to gather Tsume's horse and dog. Tsume then started taking lessons to learn everything he could about dragons and Impressing one.
