Character Profile
Name: W'yatt (formerly Wintimyatt)
Age: 24 (born 1 April 1988)
Gender: male
Sexual Orientation: heterosexual
Rank: Rider
Weyr: Rocky Weyr
Appearance: W'yatt, though he seems pleasant to the from a distsnce, taes on a much more dangerous and cold look when close up.
His eyes are a cold, calculating shade of ivy green framed by long, thick gold lashes and trapped in a halo of curly, shoulder length dirty blonde hair. His square face usually houses a scowl that has turned many women away without saying so much as a word.
W'yatt, when younger, was always a little more bulky and just a little bit stronger. He though he had a sweet face before his first encounter with W'ven, it was more closed off until he disappeared until his first Hatching, when his cold and unforgiving face made its appearance.
Now, full-grown, he stands easilly six foot six-point-five inches. He is hardly ever seen in anything but black sleeveless shirts, black jeans, and black tennis shoes.
Picture: [Evil] Wyatt Halliwell, from Charmed series
Base Personality: Belligerent, quick-tempered, natural born leader, arrogant, angry, sure of himself, distrustful, punishing, self-protective, silent, holds grudges
Before becoming even slight aquaintances with this man, one must know one quite simple rule: Be sure of yourself, be sure of your motivations, because he will punish if he suspects you might hurt him or his dragon. Or even anyone he might trust just a little.
W'yatt is always on the offensive, no matter the time or circumstances. He will verbally attack, pressing his querries and advantages over anyone, being bent on getting the answers he wants. If one is not forthcoming in giving W'yatt the answers he wants, he will...punish...that person until they start speaking. Seldom will he speak unless he has a question he wants answers.
One of the few times he will speak without a question is when he is definately alone with someone who he holds a grudge against. His father, for example, would likely fall victim to his snarled taunts and punishments. A word for the wise, his punishments mostly include beatings, some of which may have been quite fatal if not for the work of skilled Healers. Also, his grudges do not lose any potency over time. Intead, they magnify, becoming stronger as time passes. While the one who has wronged him, his dragon, or any of his aquantances likely forgets of the wrong, he remembers it with vivid detail and a great amount of pent up anger and violence. The wrong may be a whispered comment or a loud insult, an accident or a planned out set-up, it is always held onto, no matter what.
He thinks much of himself, acting oftentimes as a god amid idiotic mortals. He views himself as untouchable, believing too much in his strength. Some type of shield always seemed to float around him, keeping others at bay, even while it fascinated some and drove them into a type of gang that evolved solely around him. His admirers were many, and it was more than likely they followed him around more because they were afraid of him than they actually loved him. Whatever the case, he was well loved by adults and children alike, even though some, such as his younger brother, could not understand why.
W'yatt does, when the need arises, take charge easilly and with complete surety. He always manages to mold chaos into sn order of his liking. If it was some third world country on Earth, he could have easilly risen to a dictator position.
He is a very difficult man to get close to, and dangerous in more ways than one. Beware!
History:
Father: W'ven of Blue Buwoth
Mother: Kaitlyn of Southern Hold (Earth Candidate that did not Impress)
Younger Brother: Chris
Kaitlyn Michaels was among the first of the Earthian Candidates on Pern. The daughter of one of those that helped to form the Earthian-Pernese alliance, she volunteered after she read her father's papers after breaking into his office. Knowing how she would make a fuss if he refused her, Jason Michaels reluctantly let his daughter go.
When the girl arrived, already nearing the maximum age for a Candidate, she immediately caught the eye of a surly rider, and they sparked a romance. She became pregnant within the first month or so, and was forcefully kept away from the Hatchings that were taking place. By the time her son was born, she could only stand at one last Hatching before she was officially too old to Stand.
While she attempted to keep herself at Monico Bay Weyr with Wintimyatt and W'ven, she couldn't mke herself keep in one place. A free spirit at heart, she felt as if she had to move, find her own path through her new life on Pern. She went to Southern, and began to raise her blonde-headed son.
Wintimyatt grew up for the first few years as a happy, sweet child that was everyone's baby. So many seemed to adore the round faced boy. He was happily the only man in the family. It wasn't until his brother was concieved when he was five that he actually met his father.
W'ven appeared late one spring day not long after his son's birthday. A cold, dangerous looking man, he managed to grab hold of Kaitlyn and force her into her bedroom, locking the thick door behind them. The two reemerged the next morning, Kaitlyn more than a little bruised and beaten, and W'ven looking extremely pleased with himself. That was the first time Wintimyatt saw the face of cruelty, and the face had a name he knew.
Wintimyatt, after his first encounter with his sire in years, started to become more closed off than he had ever been before. When his mother told him, after a crying fit, that he would be a brother in a few months, he began to act up, starting to throw his physical and mental wieght around.
When his younger brother was born, Kaitlyn had locked herslef within her rooms, even exiling her angry six-year-old outside with many worried adults that needed - wanted - to get in and help her with the birthing. By the time they managed to get inside, she had lost a lot of blood and was unconcious. The baby lay crying at her side. She died several days later, and leaving Chris - whom she had managed to name herself during on of the few times she woke long enough to say anything - and Wintimyatt in the care of thier father.
They were brung - rather forcefully in Wintimyatt's case - to the place where W'ven weyred. Theyngrew up in the next few years under the terrible riegn of an abusive father, a father that drank far too much stong wine and ale and took out pent up anger on the two boys. That was where much of W'yatt's violent tendencies came about.
Wintimyatt began to stand at age twelve, just as most weyrbred children did. He left Chris at home while he stayed at the main Weyr between Hatchings. He checked up on him often, knowing he had left the younger boy to fend for himself against thier father. He was proud to find that the boy was miraculously keeping himself safe.
The final Hatching Wintimyatt stood at was the first for young Chris. It was close to the end of the Hatching that the Brown that was Eyviilth finally Hatched. He had made his way over to the boy and was speaking softly to him about the fact that he could stay there without W'ven, without -
And than he felt something else, something intruding on his most private thoughts and memories. Immediately he spun around, rage spinning through his eyes as he sought out the one that would dare to peek inside his head, only to find a clumsy Brown tripping over himself as he tried to reach his. W'yatt, Mine, come help me! Come help Eyviilth! What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to do it? the Brown asked, his rainbowed eyes glowing with love as he finally came to a stop before the stunned man and surprised boy.
Weyrlings now, W'yatt and Eyviilth immersed themselves in thier mandated studies for thier training as the dragon grew at the regular astonishing draconic rate. They seemed fairly okay, W'yatt was not acting too much unusual. It wasn't until one of his first practice flights against Thread that his true violence showed. During the flight, a fellow Brown played around and acted as if it was all a game. He managed to clip eyviilth with his wing, spinning him out of control temporarilly. As an unfortunante side-effect, W'yatt lost his fragile hold on his temper.
With a kind of screech, Eyviilth dove toward the Brown, prompted by W'yatt's rage. At the end of the fight, both dragons were fairly bloody; Eyviilth had managed to get his tail severed at the ed. Also, somehow the opposing Brown's rider had been injured; probably injured by a dragon's claw. Though his injuries were quite severe, Healers were able to save the boy's life. Later, when he was well enough, he would be given permission to be moved to a different Weyr.
After being punished for thier violent attack, they finished the remainder of thier training, graduating later than anticipated.
It was only after a few years of actively being a fighting Rider that he once again lost his temper when a Green made a mistake during Threadfall, allowing a strand to burn W'yatt on hia shoulder. Bronzes in his wing manage to keep the two seperated, and even managed to seperate W'yatt and Eyviilth. Without his Rider, Eyviilth suddenly went awkward and became confusedabout the entire thing. W'yatt on the other hand did not calm down for some hours, and that was partly because the other Riders went to get Chris and returned Eyviilth to him
After being deemed unsafe to fight in the active wings, it was decided that he would be sent to Earth in order to save any future victims of W'yatt's rages. And so they were guided to Rocky, Chris in attendance.
Dragon Profile
Name: Eyviilth
Color: Brown
Color Code: #7c5422
Impressed on: 6 Febuary 2008
Age: 4 turns/years
Physical Description: Oftentimes, Eyviilth gies the impression that he is overwieght. He is not, of course, he just gives off that impression. Instead, he is rather stocky and thick-limbed.
He is missing the tip of his tail due to a fight when still a Weyrling dragonet. While for a long time it make him clumsy in flight, he has managed to stabalize them in the last few years. Now he can easilly glide and turn through the air. Other than the tail cut short, he has no unique qualities about him.
Dragon Defect/Injury: N/A
Base Personality: Definately a follower rather than a leader, he takes all of his cues from W'yatt's mood and actions. His speech and own actions are tailored to match W'yatt's at all times, perfectly. The only way that the difference between the two can usually be realized is when the Rider and the Dragon are not within the neccesary distance required for them to touch thoughts.
Without W'yatt around, Eyviilth seems disoriented and confused. He is overwhelmingly shy without His or the brother of His, and won't speak at all if no one he trusts is around. He can not seem to muster the courage to do anything without W'yatt, and relies on him completely.
