IC Date: Week of April 1st, 2012 IC Time: 12:00 p.m. [/u][/center] La'as collapsed onto his bed with a soft grunt. He had just finished the hard task of bathing and oiling Taspoloth. And with the weather warming up, he had built up a thin sheen of sweat. He sighed, enjoying the relative coolness of the weyr. Taspoloth was on the ledge, looking down at the males below her. Some of them looked like good males, and she wanted them... Taspoloth gave a frightful shriek as she took to the skies, descending into the feeding grounds. She would rise today, and she would have these wonderful males chase her! La'as shot up off the bed, his life on Pern allowing him to know what was going on just from that shriek alone. Tas was rising... La'as could have smacked himself. Why hadn't he noticed her hide glowing? Perhaps she was just too light a green to notice...? He shook himself, already feeling the flightlust assualting him. He needed to focus. Blood only, Tas! He called out to his green as he sensed her stalking prey. Taspoloth didn't even bother to try to disobey her rider. She didn't want the meat, anyway. She only wanted the wonderful blood, the blood that would give her so much energy for her flight. She tore the throat from a goat that was stupid enough to run before her, clamping her jaws around the wound and taking only the blood. When she was done, she roared out for all the males of the Weyr to hear. Green Taspoloth rises! Who dares to chase her...!

At least this time Woruth wasn't choosing an arrogant green who only wanted bronzes. That was Loren's thought as she felt her dragon stir...in more ways than one, and then launch towards the feeding grounds to blood his kill.
Loren did not even know this pale green or her rider...she had to reach into Woruth's consciousness for some idea of what was going on, of who it was. Hrm.
Okay. *That* weyr, and that way she made her way, loosening her blouse a little. For some reason, it felt very tight all of a sudden.
Nah, not for some reason. She knew full well that it was because she wanted to get laid...mostly because Woruth did. And this time he might actually have a chance of winning and even if he didn't, without that edge of violence, she had no doubt that she could find somebody to slake her own lust with.
Maybe one of the other suitors. She smiled a little, accepting the situation as she found her way to La'as' weyr.

D'mei and Rometh had been spending much of the nicer weather either out in the Weyrbowl or down by the lake. Today they were in the 'bowl, relaxing in the warm sun, D'mei leaning against Rometh's side. It was a nice, relaxing day, and D'mei was contemplating taking a nap...
But a dragon's shriek split the air before he could. He jumped and sat up, looking around. A flash of motion drew his attention up, and he saw a green lunge from her ledge and wing toward the feeding grounds.
That green had captured Rometh's attention entirely. After a few small seconds to make sure his rider wasn't still pressed against his side, Rometh climbed to his feet and took to the air after her, dropping into the feeding grounds and grabbing a small pig before he drained it of its precious blood.
D'mei scrambled to his feet and waved a fist after the retreating blue, shouting, "You better not rip your wing like last time, you bloody blue!" Shaking his head, he started back inside, needing to find the green's rider's weyr before the Flight ended. And before he was trapped behind another locked door...

Taspoloth watched as two blue appeared at the feeding grounds. They looked like fine males. They would do to chase one such as her.
Taspoloth rocketed into the skies, aiming for the clouds. She wanted to feel their cooling caress. She wanted to disappear and reappear from them. And she wanted the males to attempt to spin their romantic tales around her.
That would be their test. Not strength or stamina or agility. No. Their test would be who could spin the best lines to win her heart...?

Into the clouds she vanished, and Woruth pursued her. She was the only object of his desire, and he spun his thoughts around her, letting them flow outwards.
Letting her see herself as he saw her, not just a dragon, but a fairy flying through the mists, a magical creature of desire. Poetry was not his thing, being as quiet and sensible as his rider, but strength he had in plenty...strength of body and of mind.
She vanished, and he plunged into the clouds after her, feeling the water condense on the cooler trailing edge of his wing membranes and then stream off them into the sky, small drops of rain following his passage through this elegant precursor to the same. As it did from her.
She was the fairy one, the princess, and somehow, he was sure to make her his. Somehow.

And with a beat of wings, Rometh was in the air along with the glorious, glowing beauty and his blue competitor. And that was the only thought he gave the other blue, as Taspoloth was the object of his attention, his affection, his whole self.
She was no delicate fairy who could be swatted from the air by a cruel gust of wind! No, she was a mighty warrior, a glowing goddess of the skies. She could lift them up with her, or drive them from the sky with mere words, let alone her prowess. And he told her such.
His fierce, poetic thoughts might have been a surprise on any other day, but today was such a day that only she occupied his thoughts, glowing, beautiful, and desirable as she was.

Which of you will win me with words? She called out to the males.
Taspoloth flitted through the clouds adoring the cooling caress of water droplets on her wings and heated hide. She appeared above the clouds suddenly, and bugled out to the males. She was excited. She was energetic. She was ready for a flight...!
((Sorry for short post...))

She wanted them to woo her with words? Then the glorious green shall get her request. Beautiful Taspoloth! You are a glorious, fierce, and majestic goddess of the skies. None may command you should you wish it, and all love you for you are perfection!
With another burst from his wings, he pushed past his competitor, carefully making his way closer to the glowing Taspoloth. He did not want to get too close, should she drive him from the sky, but he did not want to be so far from her, either. It was dangerous business, these Flights.

Woruth was about as good at wooing with words as his rider, the two alike in their tendency to prefer silence.
But if she demanded it, then he would give it a try. You are the loveliest green ever...shelled
His hesitance was obvious, and it even affected his flight, causing him to dip a little in the air. As much as he wanted to win her, he was now convinced he had lost this contest before it had even fairly begun.
Words.
What green asked for and demanded words rather than strong wings and a handsome tail?

((This post is likely going to suck...))
She did a small backwards flip to see how her chasers were doing. She could have grinned. Both of them were managing to keep up, but only one so far was doing well with spinning words. But that didn't bother her. It almost endeared her to the other blue, that he was having trouble with her demands.
She did a few more flips and added some spins and turns as well. She did not think that this would be showing off for the males, and might make them chase her with a little more zeal. She was simply enjoying the feel of the cooling wings on her fevered hide. Instead, she called back to the males again.
More words, my Chasers!

Once more, Woruth had totally chosen the wrong green to chase. This time, though, Loren wasn't worried about him getting slashed. Just...trying not to laugh as he struggled to find words.
Try this, dearling. Tell her she has the most beautiful wings ever.
Dutifully, Woruth repeated his rider's suggestion, although there was still no confidence or certainty in it. She was going to drive him crazy, twisting and spinning the way she was, gorgeous in the air. Making love to the wind as he wanted to make love to her so desperately. And she did have beautiful wings. And she knew exactly how to use them to make her suitors just go insane with desire.

It seemed the other blue had dropped out. And Taspoloth was now bored with only one Chaser. With a tilt of her wings she angled to soar higher. At the same time she called out to the blue Woruth.
Claim your prize, Woruth! She called back him at the same moment she folded her wings and fell from the sky.

Which Woruth, of course, did, blue wings spreading to catch the tiring green, to entwine the two together even as his dark-skinned rider reached for her own prize.
Together, they fell into ecstasy, and for this moment, she was his and he was hers, and neither dragon nor woman considered what consequences might come of this tomorrow...Loren as much caught in the moment as the blue.
As was so often the case, blue met green and the night was sweet indeed.
