IC Date: July 22nd IC Time: Midnight [/u][/b] Mentari's labor had been the quickest in all of Rocky, at a whopping forty-five minutes long. Which was miraculous, considering she had twins to deliver. But there they were, not even an hour after the labor pain had begun. When everyone had been allowed to enter, Mentari was sitting up and holding one of the babies. The other slept peacefully in a basinet close by. Mentari gabe them all a smile when she looked up at them. "You did great, Mentari." Faizah nearly whispered. She was smiling at her youngest sister, a tear in her eye. Mentari just smiled back. "This is Scott. He has the brown eyes." She explained. She looked around at those gathered, then frowned. "Where is Tad...?" She asked.

Poor Tad.
He had been out flying...sure, he knew Mentari was close to her time, but Kimath needed the exercise and given how long labor normally lasted?
He hadn't expected to come back to be told it was *over*. Just started, maybe, but not over. His entrance was completely ill-dignified...he was trying and failing NOT to run into the room. In as much of a hurry, it seemed, as his sons had been to enter the world. It was a good job they had an infirmary here...or the kids would have been born in the back of the car trying to get to the hospital!
"I...uh...I'm sorry...uh..." was all he managed to say.

Mentari smiled at him, rocking David gently in her arms. She was just glad that he was here. "It's fine, Tad. Just glad you're here now." She told him, that smile never leaving her face.
Faizah moved aside from the basinet that held the second boy. She didn't want to be in the way when Tad wanted to see Mentari and his children. She also smiled at him, proud to be an aunt again and proud that her sister had done so well. "Welcome." She said to Tad as she gave up her spot next to the sleeping infant.

"They're beautiful," Tad said, softly. He'd seen babies, but never newborns. The boys were, on the face of it, *not* beautiful yet...newborns never were.
But they were what he and Mentari had made together, and they would have...this life, he suspected. Would they ever want to leave the Weyr?
Eh. Children did not always follow their parents. Often, in fact, they rebelled against them. They might decide they wanted to live in a big city.
Tad felt some amusement at the thought. He could not really imagine that happening, but children could do...interesting...things t times.
Right now, though, they would not be doing anything but eat and sleep for a good while yet...

"Yes, they are." Mentari agreed softly, her voice holding a great amount of affection. She put Scott, who had fallen asleep, into a matching basinet. However the name "Scott" could be seen on the side of this one.
((Sorry for short post.))

Tad smiled. "So, that one's Scott?" He was leaving that decision up to her, as she seemed to have a strong opinion on the matter.
Which made the second boy Ronald. Scott and Ronald. Were they identical or fraternal? The latter, he thought...Scott already had quite a bit more hair. Probably a good thing. Identical twins...the sets he'd known had always been trouble to some degree. It was amazing what pranks you could play when you had a sibling that looked exactly the same.
"They *are* beautiful." He knew he was babbling, but they were HIS babies, not just some random babies...and that really did matter.

Mentari nodded. "This is Scott. He has the brown eyes, and looks more like my father. Who he's named after." Mentari laughed slightly over that. Then she continued. "Ronald has green eyes, like mine." She finished.
Faizah nodded, joining in for a moment. "Our grandfather, Ronald, also has green eyes. Not as bright as ours, but green all the same." She said calmly, and with a smile on her face.

Tad grinned a bit. "Well, that works out really well, then. Although I *think* Ronald looks more like me than Scott does. Hard to tell yet."
He could be wrong. They were his kids, though, and they would carry a part of him with them into the future, no doubt presenting him with grandchildren eventually. They would, too, belong to the dragons. He was sure of that, suddenly.
"They'll be trouble, mind. Twins always are."

Mentari nodded, but her smile didn't falter. "We will manage. Faizah was a twin, if you can believe it." She said, looking over at her red headed sister.
She leaned against the back of the bed, sighed slightly. She was so tired. But she didn't want to go to sleep. She wanted to stay awake and converse with everyone. And watch her sons sleep. If everyone's experience proved true, she wouldn't get to see them sleep very often.
Faizah looked between them, wondering how they would make it work. She decided she had better ask. "Are you two going to start sharing a weyr? Since it's obvious you're a couple now." She asked, looking mostly at Tad.
She could tell Mentari was on the brink of falling asleep.

"If Mentari's interested...but we might need a slightly larger one. I know mine is too small."
Which might well be why Faizah had asked. They had to have couples accommodation around here somewhere. And with two little feet...not that the twins would be mobile for a while yet, but it was best to plan ahead.
Mobile and trouble. And Faizah was a twin...that explained it. Fraternal twins had a tendency to run in families, Tad knew, and they were definitely not identical.

Mentari nodded. "I would like that." She muttered sleepily.
Faizah smiled at Mentari, going over to the almost asleep girl and pulling the blanket up to her shoulders. Then she looked over at Tad. "I'll get a bigger weyr set up today. By tomorrow I'll have Mentari's and the babies things moved into it." She explained.
((Excuse my cruddy post please.))

Tad nodded. "I can move my own stuff. Just let me know which weyr." He smiled, looking at the babies. Mentari was passing out, but that was normal. They called it 'labor' for a reason. For that matter, the twins were falling asleep too.
"Pretty soon I'm going to be the only one awake here...but I don't feel like leaving just yet." He could do nothing but watch them sleep, but he could do that.
Twins. His twins. His weyrmate...his lovely and beautiful woman. He felt, in that moment, that his life was complete.

Faizah nodded. "You don't have to leave. You can stay as long as you want, Tad." She told him, watching him watch Mentari and the twins.
((Epic Fail Post...))
