[OOC: I never got a chance to introduce T'riel and he's the bronzerider that I won during the Create a Bronzerider contest]IC Date: August 5, 2012 IC Time: Late Morning around 11am IC Setting: Hot but cloudy with a temperature of 85° F (29.4° C) T'riel, Bronze Heironeoth, & Brown ShadowHeironeoth popped out from between to land on the ground near the entrance into the weyr. He looked around himself as he told His, We are here, Mine. The air smelled different and Heironeoth felt just a tad tired after landing on the ground. He had gotten the coordinates from Mnementh himself and it did seem a farther travel than when he usually hopped between on Pern. T'riel nodded tight-lipped as he tried to loosen his white-knuckled hands holding onto Heironeoth's straps. He wasn't too high up, but he had still gripped at Heironeoth as if he was going to fall. He really hated himself for being afraid of heights, but that's how he was. At least, he wasn't getting nauseous just being so high up where he was. He still needed to get down to the ground, if only his hands and feet will listen to his brain. His body has frozen stiff in fear with just that brief flight and hop between from Pern to here, Earth, his no, their new home. Shadow let go of his hold on His to start exploring. They were in a new place and he wanted to see what there was to see of it. He trilled at His wondering when His will get off the dragon to start exploring and meeting new people.

The croon of a gold firelizard could be heard moments before she came into sight. The gold alighted o the branch of a nearby tree, crooning to the newcomers. At the same time she looked over her shoulder, apparently searching for someone.
That someone became apparent a moment later, when a red haired woman stepped out into the clearing. She glanced up at the bronze rider, raising an arm in greeting. Faizah had been expecting them, and she had walked out here to meet them. It was something she rather liked doing.
"Greetings, Rider!" She called up to the man. He seemed terrified...

T'riel, Bronze Heironeoth, & Brown Shadow Shadow noticed the gold and immediately went to mingle with the lovely gold. He chirped a greeting as he perched to land on the branch beside the gold.
T'riel heard someone say, 'Greetings, Rider!' and he knew he should get himself down off of Heironeoth. It would just be rude not saying anything back and greet them. T'riel told himself as he willed his body to comply. He hasn't turned around yet to look at who greeted him but, for the nonce, he replied with, "Greetings. Please give me a few minutes while I get down from my dragon."
Heironeoth swiveled his head as he heard a woman give her greetings. She seemed friendly and he wondered if she was the Weyrwoman of the weyr. He had heard that the Weyrwoman was a Whiterider. He mentally snorted at the idea of having a Weyrwoman who rode a White instead of the traditional Gold, but he could do nothing about that. He dreaded when the time came of having to answer to a White. Imagine, him, a Bronze, being ordered by a White! The audacity of it would never have happened or even thought of on Pern, but they were now on Earth, where they will live from now on.

Reyna crooned at the brown, but watched Faizah as she stood there.
Faizah looked up at the rider, wondering if he was alright. He seemed to be taking a while getting down. She shrugged and took a step back. She knew Kain would be over soon, and maybe then they could get these new comers settled.
Speak of the devil, and he shall come. Kain literally landed a moment later, Gorth calling out quietly to greet the other bronze. Kain quickly lept to the ground, coming to stand next to Faizah. He, too, looked up at the bronze rider. "Is he alright?" He asked Faizah in a whisper.

T'riel, Bronze Heironeoth, & Brown Shadow Shadow was content for now to sit by the Gold and watch the proceedings. However, he saw that His still hasn't gotten off HisDragon's back. Loathe to leave the Gold's side, Shadow decided to stay with the Gold.
Heironeoth looked to the side as another Bronze landed beside him. He nodded to acknowledge the other dragon. Mine, you're fine. Just relax your body and slowly get down. Heironeoth said as he looked back at His and crooned reassurance and encouragement.
T'riel knew he was keeping the woman waiting. But his body was slow in relaxing until he heard Heironeoth's voice and felt the croon through his body. He felt the vibration and gradually relaxed and was able to finally come down. He was sweating, not only from the temperature, but also from his ordeal.
He turned around to face his welcomers. He looked at them, hoping they didn't mind the wait, hoping that they won't kick them out like his previous weyr did. "Sorry about wait. I'm T'riel of Bronze Heironeoth." he said hoping his voice didn't give out the fact that he'd been scared just a little while ago. Now that he was on the ground, he was feeling fine. With a sheepish smile he added, "F'lar sends his greetings and sent us here because... um... well, I'm afraid of heights." He didn't like to admit it, but it was the truth, the reason for their being there. He looked from the woman, then to the man beside her, and silently wondered if they were the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader of the Weyr.

Faizah watched as the man finally started to slide down his dragon. She whispered back to Kain. "I think he's fine."
Faizah waited until he had explained everything to greet him. "Hello T'riel. I'm Faizah of white Surth, Weyrwoman here. This is Kain of bronze Gorth, Weyrleader." She said with a small smile. She wanted the man to feel comfortable. On Earth it wasn't unusual for people to be afraid of heights.
Perhaps it was differnet on Pern...?
((Cruddy post, I know. Please excuse it.))

T'riel, Bronze Heironeoth, & Brown Shadow Now that His had finally gotten down, Heironeoth looked back at the older Bronze. Greetings Brother. I'm Heironeoth. Mine and I have been sent here from Benden Weyr. Heironeoth told the other dragon. He looked back at the group of humans. Heironeoth wasn't really paying close attention to the Weyrwoman, but the Weyrleader seemed like a man to watch out for.
T'riel kept his opionions to himself when he learned that the woman who greeted him was indeed the Weyrwoman of the weyr. Minding his manners, he bowed towards the Weyrwoman while saying, "It is an honor to meet you, Weyrwoman." Turning to the Weyrleader, he also bowed and said, "Likewise, it is a privilege to meet you, Weyrleader." Standing up once more, he looked around for Shadow. "Well, I do have a brown flit with me if I can find where he has gone to. His name's Shadow." he added as tried to look for Shadow. With no luck, he turned back to his leaders.
"Anyways, I hope I don't become a burden to the weyr. I know Earth doesn't get Threadfall but, hopefully we can earn our keep in other ways." T'riel said to his leaders, while mostly looking at the Weyrleader.
Shadow saw that His had finally gotten down on the ground. He chirped happily and when His looked for him, he stayed still as stone. He smirked to himself when His didn't seem to find out where he was.

Reyna chirped at the brown when she noticed the new guy was referring to him. Then, knowing that the brown wasn't going to respond to His, she winged herself over to Faizah. Reyna landed lightly on Faizah's shoulder, settling down and then wrapping her tail lightly around the red head's neck in possession.
Faizah reached up and rubbed Reyna's eyeridges slightly. She nodded to T'riel at his greeting, even though it made her feel awkward. She wasn't accustomed to being referred to as the Weyrwoman; it was simply a title. Usually people didn't refer to her as Weyrwoman, unless she had done something to anger or annoy them.
Kain smiled and nodded, at the same time Gorth nodded to the other bronze. Greetings bronze Heironeoth. I am bronze Gorth.
Faizah continued to listen to T'riel as he expressed a desire to make himself useful around the weyr. "Everyone is expected to help the weyrlings here. Helping them with flying techniques, answering questions, things like that. Also, doing the same with the candidates. And if you see any of the weyrlings or candidates misbehaving, you have the right to punish them appropriately." She explained.

T'riel, Bronze Heironeoth, & Brown Shadow Shadow was disappointed when the Gold left to land by Hers. Her action showed where he was and with a trill flew up the branch to land and perch on His' right shoulder. He chirped as if to say, 'Bet you didn't see where I was until that Gold moved, huh?' as he gently wound his tail around T'riel's neck for a better purchase, and so that he won't accidentally be thrown off when T'riel moved.
T'riel nodded as he listened to the Weyrwoman explain what was expected of him. At least he could do some of the things she said, but maybe not with giving flying lessons. He still needed to really overcome his fear of heights. At least he no longer faints when he is riding Heironeoth, not like the first time back in Benden Weyr. It was a good thing that the straps were strong of he would have fallen off of his dragon.
"Well, I could certainly help with answering questions, and minding the weyrlings and candidates. I'm not sure about the flying lessons... I can tell them the lesson that I received with regards to flying, but I can't really demonstrate properly." T'riel commented after Faizah was done explaining. Then looking around he asked, "So, do we have a weyr reserved for us already or can we pick our weyr ourselves?" as he reached up to give Shadow a scratch under his chin.

Faizah nodded. "That's understandable. I didn't mean to imply that you would have to give them a demonstration." She laughed slightly in her awkwardness.
((Excuse my fail post. I just can't think today.))
