[OOC: This is a small side story to flesh out my character before I dive into the role playing. If this is not allowed Then feel free to give me an infraction or whatever and delete this thread. This is how and why Draven left home]
"Thorzain!" Draven yelled up stairs in a rushed tone. "Come on Thor! We're taking a walk!"
Thorzain, upon hearing the word walk, trotted down the stairs. Draven had a duffel bag stuffed with clothes and various bits and bobs. He was wearing his most worn in pants, a plain black tee shirt, and his arm sleeves, his casual wear. After double checking that he had what he needed, he attached Thorzain's leash and set on his way.
The town of Mackenzie had been his home since his mother passed, but it was time to move on. He turned his drop out papers in the day before, and cleaned out his bank account of the only thing his mother left him. All that was left was to finally set out into the unknown. The voice of his furious father rushed through his head as he hurried out the door. "Never again," Draven muttered to himself, "You'll never lay a hand on me or Thor again"
After the trek into trek into town all that was left was to find a ride. I'm tired of this place. Mackenzie, "British" Colombia, I'm tired of Canada!. Thorzain was excited to be seeing new places, smelling new smells, but he knew that something was wrong and let out a whimper of concern.
"Now Thorzain, have I ever led you astray before?" Draven said as he adjusted the duffel for the 20th time. Thorzain just let his head hang as he lead his master down the road. I don't know where we're going either boy. But I know this is something I gotta do. I have to know without a shadow of a doubt, what I... saw...
After 5 and a half hours of walking, and not much progress on his mystery destination, They finally decided to stop and rest at Windy point lake. The sun was starting to set and the both of them were exhausted. Draven spotted a group of cabins near the shore and the both of them decided to investigate. "What do you think Thor? Tourist season is over..." Draven whispered to his companion. Thorzain walked towards the cabins as he sniffed his way around. After giving the area a thorough inspection, Thorzain started scratching at the door of the closest cabin.
After a few minutes of fidgeting with the lock, Draven slowly crept into the cabin. It was empty, dark, and had a slightly foul odor. He shut the door behind Thorzain and barricaded it with a nearby end table. Thorzain curled up in the corner and quickly fell asleep. Draven, after inspecting the rest of the cabin with only his cell phone as a light, picked up Thorzain carefully and placed him on the couch. He set an alarm for 6 am and reclined next to Thorzain and slowly drifted to sleep.
