Name: Kenneth MacTaggarty, "Tag"
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual, please.
Appearance:
Tag is ...not short, but not tall, either- five-foot-seven at best. He's skinny, having an almost feminine build with little muscle and sharp features that give him an almost feline look. His eyes are slightly on the large side, and a bright emerald green, a sharp contrast to deep crimson hair- not copper, or orange, but almost true red, and softly wavy.
He keeps his hair long- middle of his back in length. (He keeps it long because if he doesn't it curls ridiculously.) Sometimes he ties it back, but he keeps it loose unless it's necessary to do otherwise. He's also kind of a clotheshorse, liking things that look good, and loving colors. He tends to also wear things that are a little effeminate, and he sort of enjoys messing with people who can't quite tell whether to address him as 'Sir' or 'Madam'. But whatever you do, DON'T call him Kenneth.
Tag doesn't wear anything to particular, but since entering the Weyr, he has taken to wearing long-sleeved shirts or sleeveless ones, loose jackets, and cargo pants as his typical flying gear. He wears quite a few varying bracelets, multiple types on each wrist, and claims the reason to be because he 'like the weight of them, and it feels weird without them'. He's also got multiple earrings in each ear, with a total of seven piercings combined.
Tag is generally always in a pleasant mood, as his philosophy is to enjoy life. He tends to ramble when he talks, and he's frequently talking- he has a lot to say; well, actually, he just likes to talk. He's incredibly friendly, and likely to go over to someone who looks lonely or is standing off to the side and strike up a conversation just because he doesn't like to see people avoiding life like that. He's rarely impersonal, be he does, on rare occasions, get moody, and at those times, he's terribly unpleasant to be around. He's also a tad random, and prone to making smart-ass comments without intending to, simply because it's the first thought that occours to him.
He also doesn't really tolerate idiocy or smartness directed at him, and tends to snap if people are rude to him. (How he and Liam stay together is a mystery even to them. Polar opposites, but they make it work...he doesn't hide anything about himself from anyone. Tag will not lie to himself or others.)

History: Hardly a boy with an exciting life. Tag, as he is called by virtually everyone, lived in a rather small down in South Carolina, with his entire family; his mother, father, Elder brother Roan, his twin sister Emily, and his youngest sister, Tabitha. He actually lived there most of his life, up until he and his twin opted to attend a private high school in upstate New York.
So, he moved with Emily into his Aunt's home, and began attending the fine-arts Magnet school in Haverston. His life was actually pretty decent, too; he enjoyed school, he had friends, and he was sensible enough to make sure no one ever made the mistake of ragging on him for being gay more than once.
He met his one and only long-time boyfriend almost immediately after he got a job as a barista and waiter at a small local cafe. The tall blonde librarian (and, Tag would learn later, ex-mechanic) was secretly stalked by Tag every time he showed up, though not in a terribly strange way. Tag just always smiled, struck up conversations, and the like, until he worked up the courage to ask the man out.
The line went something like 'Here's your coffee, sir. And my phone number."
They've been dating since.
Eventually, Tag moved in with Liam, in a loft apartment in New York city. It was there, one day, when walking along the water, the pair stumbled upon a strange nest of eggs under a bench alongside the sidewalk. Tag was curious, and went to poke one, when the eggs exploded into peices and stange colored lizards crawled out. A little confused, Tag was going to leave them be, but one of the lizards latched onto his jeans and screamed bloody murder at him. Panicking, Tag shoved half of his chocolate bar at the creature, who regarded him, then the chocolate, then him again, before the little gold beastie hungrily wolfed down the sugar.
Thus Tiggy imprinted on him. Tag eventually fed her a hot dog and half a tuna sandwich he had in his bag, and they were inseperable. Liam also ended up with a chocolaty brown dragon-beastie, and they hid the strange winged creatures away in their apartment.
It was only a few months later that there came a strange knock at the door midmorning; A man calling himself F'lar insited they both go with him to a big open area, where...well, an enormous bronze dragon awaited them. Tag could only stare, and numbly nod when F'lar asked them if they would be willing to try 'Impressing' a dragon of their own. (Though Tag didn't at that time understand what making a good impression had to do with anything.)
Tag and Liam were taken to Pern then, and it wasn't too terribly long until Tag found himself on the burning sands in a wierd white robe. It wasn't so terribly strange, he thought, once you put the whole thing into perspective. They were lizards, why shouldn't they like heat?
Then the eggs began to shake and squeal, and little (well, little in comparison) dragons began clamoring for their bonded. Tag didn't expect anything to happen, really, but when one of the last few eggs burst open to reveal a beautiful mottled blue-green dragon. It was instantaneous. The dragon opened it's eyes, and immediately looked at Tag.
Mine K'neth. I am Halderoth. Would you-
That was when the queen roared her anguish at Halderoth's deformation. The little blue-and-green hybrid was taken from the sands, and Tag could only glare bitterly at the gold figure that had upset his partner. But Halderoth only seemed to wait, then solemnly inform it's human bonded that it did not mind. It knew it was different, and it knew it was just that- and 'it'. But it beseeched Tag to stay with it, almost desperate and pleading.
And Tag swore to never leave the dragon's side, so long as Halderoth promised to stop calling him Kenneth OR K'neth.
It was very soon after that day that Tag and Halderoth and Tiggy were transferred to Rocky.
Dragon Name: Halderoth
Dragon Color: Blue/Green
Dragon Defect/Injury: Neuter/Genderless/Asexual
Blue/Green Halderoth
Instead of being blue, or green, Halderoth is both. Being green in some places and blue in the other, making a mottled effect that looks like Halderoth came from a river rather than an egg; the colors lay across it's skin as if reflected through water. A defect in the chromosomes of the egg Halderoth hatched from made the dragon a neuter; it never received the gender-defining chromosome, and, as such, never developed a gender at all; since it's egg would have either been a blue or a green, Halderoth is simply a mix of both- perfectly healthy and mature, but with no sexual characteristics.
Halderoth is the size of a blue, with slightly longer wings than most, almost falcon like in shape, making the blue-green a fast and maneuverable dragon. It's whole body is slimmer than a normal blue, but longer than a green's should be.
Halderoth's wings are mainly a pale teal in the membranes, being the only solidly colored area on it's body, and being a perfect mix of blue and green. There is little in the way of patterning to Halderoth's coloring either, with large blue patches down the spine and along the wing-shoulders, and mottling of small spots of green and blue like flecks of paint along it's shoulders, neck and hips, and with larger mottling on the body and tail. The legs begin with the same speckling mix of colors, but fade into a mixed teal at the joints and are a deep sapphire at the feet, though one hind leg is solidly blue from hip to toes, with only small specklings of green, for some reason. It's tail is the same, being mottled blue and green, then fading into odd rings of color smudged together. Halderoth's facial features are equally strange- over the eyes is deep blue, cheetah-like, while the muzzle is a bright solid green, with the cheeks and forehead fading back to the mottling of colors.
Halderoth is a pleasant but extremely guarded dragon. Very sensitive to the plights of others, it is quite the sympathetic personality, always willing to comfort another or to lend a shoulder to support someone in need. However it's very hard to get past the walls this dragon has set around itself, and to figure out what the neuter is truly thinking. Truly, the only one who is privy to Halderoth's emotions is Tag, Halderoth's one trusted companion. The dragon shields itself from it's weyrmates and even it's weyr's queen, choosing instead to be alone with it's thoughts.
If asked for it's opinion, Halderoth will answer truthfully, though to a limited extent. The dragon seems to be somewhat dreamy most of the time, it's eyes focused unclearly on something in it's thoughts, and catching it's attention can be difficult. Halderoth will focus when the need it there, but does not prefer to dwell on things for too long. Never quite unpleasant, Halderoth can yet be somewhat distant to those who it does not trust, and to gain the neuter dragon's trust is no easy task.
Halderoth realizes it will never rise like it's clutchmates, nor feel the instincts of the others, and this rather distances it from any of it's weyrmates. It sees no purpose in making close bonds, assuming that it's defect makes it a non-entity, to the point where Halderoth will not respond to gender-specific pronouns, much preferring to be addressed by it's name or an informal 'It'.
Firelizard Name: Tiggy
Firelizard Color: Gold
Gold Tiggy
Tiggy is a lovely gold firelizard, with a dark golden hide with nearly orange tones to it. She has elegant proportions, but is a little on the lean side, with delicate features and a slim build.
Her voice is high and flute-like, and even when she's scolding her human she manages to sound melodic.
Tiggy is a very vain little queen, adoring attention and oftentimes demanding it from anyone she thinks will give it to her, especially the male flits, who she seems to be convinced she has wrapped around her tail- but she's also fickle, only wanting attention when the mood strikes her, and she can be nasty if you disturb her otherwise. Still, Tiggy is never shy, being very bold and self-confident, quite sure that she is capable of anything she chooses to do. She will sharply scold anyone who does something she is displeased with, sometimes acting very much like a spoiled princess.
However, Tiggy has a soft spot for Halderoth, and she dotes on the dragon, flitting around Halderoth's quarters, busily tidying up, or grooming a rough patch on it's hide, or bringing a shiny pebble to cheer up the rather solemn dragon. Halderoth grudgingly tolerates her, and really quite adores the silly bubbleheaded queen, though would never admit this.
Tiggy spends much of her time near Halderoth, and that is where she can normally be found if she's not curled up in Tag's lap getting fed or pandering attention from the males in the Weyr.
