Character Appearance: Long(ish) wavy copper hair that shines in the sunlight. Dark Hazel eyes that are the same color as her hair at the iris and around the edges are a deep grey, changing to a greenish shade whenever she is excited. an average height of 5'4''. pale skin. Prefers earthy colors such as brown and green. likes bell bottoms and flannel. Acts shy and timid. Doesn't look anyone in the eye and jumps at loud noises. Is extremely respectful of every caliber of person.

History: Shasta was born into a happy family. A working dad and a stay at home mom both of whom cared very much for their only daughter. When she was 8, they all went on a trip to Alaska to visit Grandparents which Shasta had yet to meet. While they were there Shasta went missing, assumed stolen.
When she was found again, after a year of searching, she was in Utah and no longer the loud and smiley bundle of joy that she once was. She couldn't remember anything about her past, except her parents, but the ghosts of memories from the time she was gone left her sullen and afraid to sleep alone for fear of her dreams. Her parents still loved her dearly and tried everything in their power to bring her back to the way she had been, but nothing worked.
At the age of 14, her parents gave her a surprising gift. A little warm egg. When she questioned them as to what it was and where they had gotten it, they told her that she would soon see what it was and as to where they had gotten it... Well, that was their little secret. They warned her to keep it warm always until its hatching. She placed it by the fireplace in a towel, more excited than she had been in years and wondering what fantastic creature would come out.
A few days later the egg began shaking violently. It being 7 in the morning on a Saturday, Shasta was forced to wake her parents. She was gripped by mania and NEEDED to know what to do for it! Her parents shuffled her downstairs and instructed her to stay there while they prepared food for their soon-to-be-new arrival.
When the egg hatched Shasta was bewildered. What was this silly blue creature? Where could it have possibly come from? But she couldn't focus on her questions because her parents stuck a bowl of raw meat in her hand and told her to 'feed him'. She stuffed cow into his face until it looked like he would burst and then made a bed for him in the crook of her arm.
Her parents never told her how they new so much, but their information helped her keep her littleling, her pride and almost sole source of joy, from the prying eyes of the public. But one day her parents led a strange man into the house. He explained her situation with her 'Fire lizard', as he called it, and gave her the choice to go with him or stay in the life she was leading. Her parents assured her that either way she went, their blessings would go with her and that if she went she would be able to keep in touch.
She decided to follow the strange tall man but when he lead her away into the woods she became a little wary. However when they entered a clearing, all her fear left her and was replaced with awe. For nearly taking up the clearing was a creature that looked just like hers only a hundred times larger and a beautiful shimmering bronze. She knew then that she had made the right choice.
She went to a hatching at Igen, but wasn't chosen. However, at the next one, she was picked by the beautiful, though blind, green named Quith. It being that she was sightless, which is usually what happens when one has no eyes, they were shipped of to Rocky where they could be weyrlings in peace and safety.

Appearance: Rather small even for a green, Quith was born with no eyes or even eyelids. In effect to this her head is completely smooth with only a small indentation in the shape of the head where her eyes would have been.
Personality: Quith is a cooperative and determined dragonette, along with being very optimistic, despite her birth defect and the obstacles she would face. She cares very much for the insecurities of her Person.

Color: Blue color=0000BF
Born: 2007
Appearance: just over two feet long and nearly full grown. He is a rich shade of blue and so is almost invisible at night and when flying over water. His eyes are more often than not tinged with orange due to his constant watch over 'His'
Personality: Jas is a very mature yet indecisive lizard, caring for Shasta and Quith diligently. He likes to do outrageous acrobatics in the air for fun and enjoys sleeping on Shasta's shoulder and Quith's head. He is not very talkative, but has a lovely voice when he wants to be heard.
