History: Ciara Anabelle Morgans was born to Neill and Alicia Morgans. Her parents were smart with their money and had a very nice sized nest egg stored away by the time their only child was just a tot. Mrs. Morgans had fertility problems and was unable to have another child after Ciara, and while she couldn't have a large brood, the young mother lavished attention upon her inquisitive daughter. Ciara's superb memory was discovered early on and her parents, with the advice of pediatric doctors, provided with all the information the little girl could inhale. And inhale she did. Ara was naturally inquisitive and anything new was enjoyed extremely.

By the time Ciara was 14, she was already taking college courses in medicine, a secret passion she had harbored in her heart. Even though she was being educated at a higher level, the teen went to normal school as much as she could and managed to make a few close friends. There were of course bullies who tried to bend the small girl to their will. Every attempt met immediate failure as Ara deflected each one with ease. One, a rather cute boy, tried to manhandle her and was thrown to the ground in a quick and sudden movement. While he was smart enough not to touch her again, the boy didn't stop talking to Ciara. Eventually, a friendship of sorts evolved and when they were both 16, they began to date.

It didn't last for long as Ciara's life became more and more hectic. With a sorrowful heart, she parted ways with her first love and continued on. In the meantime the teenager received several degrees in medicine and other topics that tickled her interest. Life, however, had other plans for the child prodigy. On her birthday exactly, the ever curious Ara stumbled across an abandoned egg that was surprisingly warm and hard. It was whisked away to her room where she waited patiently for it to hatch and if it didn't... Time to whip out the dissection tools! Luckily for all involved, the egg did Hatch and a mini blue dragon dubbed Heka was born.

The timid creature refused to leave the girl's side no matter where she went and though she was unaware of it at the time, the Pernese had recently discovered earth and were actively searching for the fire-lizards that had escaped to the planet. That and any baby fire-lizards that hatched too. In no time flat, Ciara had F'lar on his doorstep with his fire-lizard and there was no need to ask her twice to come with him. She was one of the first to be brought to Pern, but not one of the first to Impress. Three turns passed before a dragon, a handsome Blue named Tasith, Impressed her.

Even though he was gorgeous in every respect, Tasith was an extreme Xenophobe and only trusted his rider. To keep the young Blue from hurting himself or hurting anyone else, he was kept a safe distance for the group. Ciara did not let her precious life-mate's disability affect her and it only made her love him more. Her only companions, for the most part, were Tasith and Heka when she wasn't in the Infirmary learning more about the Pernese Healers or learning more about their culture.

When the Greens from Tasith's clutch began to Rise, Ara often stepped in as a substitute for a rider who had lost. It was through this that she came to know Lae'vani, rider of Blue Ixynth. The Blue was quite lusty and Chased often but won rarely. Lae'vani welcomed Ciara into his life and they learned more about each other outside of the bed. She grew to love him and he grew to love her in return. However, Lae'vani's Ixynth was a perfectly normal Blue and when Rocky Weyr was established on earth, he remained on Pern while Ciara returned to her homeland. That did mean he didn't visit. Sometimes, she'd see her lover up to three times a week if he could escape long enough.

Tasith, being the stranger-fearing creature he was, often remained holed up somewhere private while his rider traveled around using other methods. After a few months without going between, Ciara realized she had not had her monthlies recently. One of those "infallible" pregnancy tests revealed all. The Bluerider was pregnant. Lae'vani was ecstatic to learn about his impending fatherhood and even spent a week at Rocky to be with Ciara.

Finally, on December 25th, 2006, Caevaniara Laura Morgans was born, but her father would never see her. Lae'vani was killed in an accident involving a young dragon that should have been transferred to Rocky Weyr but had not for reasons unknown though it was suspected that the Weyrling's defect had not been detected in time. So, with nothing but a picture of her daughter's father and the comfort of her life-mates, Ciara kept moving forward. She had a responsibility to care for this innocent child and nothing would stop her.

Life continued as best it could. Never once did Tasith Chase a female though Heka was quite eager to "play" with the local green fire-lizards. A young kitten found her way into the Bluerider's weyr and adopted Caevaniara as her charge. She was named Raka after a young girl Ciara had met on Pern. Her work in the Infirmary and caring for both her dragon and growing daughter gave the woman little time for romance not that she was even looking as it was. Lae'vani is deeply missed, but for her own sake, Ara hopes to find someone who can love her just like he did.
