History:
Myveraati was born in Ista weyr, to a pair of long time weyrmates. his parents, being riders, had little time for him, and he was sent to the creche as soon as was possible. He grew up there, just one more weyrbrat among the crowd of such children. While most of the children dreamed only of being dragonriders, impressing to one of the great protectors of perns and searing thread for the skies, Myervaati was more humble in his dreams. He wanted to be a smith, working with metal and flame to create things both practical and beautiful.
When he was twelve, Myveraati got his wish, apprenticing to the local smith. He would learn many things from the man, eventually taking up a speciality in making the jewellery which was much in demand by the women of the weyr. When he was fourteen, Myveraati was lucky enough to receive a firelizard egg. It hatched a Handsome two toned brown whom he named Imel.
When he was seventeen, the truly unexpected happened. He was watching the hatching of a clutch lain by Ista's Senior Queen when one of the largest eggs, one which everyone had been betting would hold a brown or bronze hatched, and a small green form came tumbling out. A tangle of heads and tails produced a gasp from many of those watching. Twin dragons were a rare occurrence. Gasps turned to shudders of horror as the hatchlings began to move, and it became obvious that they were not two hatchlings, but one, two greens sharing the same body.
The two heads were bickering with each other, when Myveraati looked around and realised that no-one else could hear them. That was when both heads turned, looking up at him in the stands. There you are! Two distinct voices spoke to him. Get down here at once M'aati! One of the voices demanded. Myveraati, now M'aati, quickly followed the instructions of the dragons. They informed him that their names were Herath and Nylath, and that he belonged to the both of them.
Life from then on was anything but easy. Most weyrlings have trouble dealing with one dragon. M'aati had two demanding his time and attention. Not to mention having to deal with all the negative reactions to his impression of the 'freak twins'.
As soon Herath and Nylath were cleared to go between, they were sent to Rocky Weyr.

Dragon Defect/Injury:
Herath and Nylath should have been Identical Twins. However, something went wrong in the egg, and the pair failed to separate correctly, resulting in what the people of earth call conjoined, or 'Siamese', twins. Normally such a beast would never have survived to hatching, but for some reason, Herath and Nylath did. The pair share a body, possessing two heads (One each), four legs, four wings (One regular pair and a second smaller pair behind them), and two tails. They share most of their internal organs, but have separate stomachs for firestone. Their mating instinct is separate to each others, meaning they will rise twice as often as a normal green. When mating flights occur, one mind will completely overwhelm the other and for that time, and that time only, the one which is rising as total control over their shared body.
