Appearance: Kira has wavy dark brown and in some cases, it seems to be black especially under shadows. Her hair reaches the small of her back. She usually just finger brushes her hair into some semblance of order towards the back of her head. She has never had the occasion to style her hair so her hair is usually just flowing freely at the back of her head.

She has dark brown eyes under black arched eyebrows. They are expressive and are not the windows to her soul. They hold a deep sadness for not knowing what has happened to her older brother, and a sadness for the unfair death of her parents. There are laugh-lines so she knows how to smile and laugh when the occasion calls for it.

She stands five feet and eight inches tall and weighs one hundred and twenty pounds. Her skin is a light tan without too many freckles thank goodness. She has a lean and lithe body build from her sword and her archery practices.

Personality: She's has had to be responsible for the lives of herself and her brother at a young age. She expects her orders to be obeyed as soon as possible. Since it was only the two of them for most of the time since her parents died, she wouldn't know how to take orders from others at all. She is quiet when need be but, she will voice out her opinions and questions when she has them.

She and her brother, Sirai, are inseparable since their parents died and you'll often find them together, Kira doing archery practice and Sirai doing sword practice. You'll even find them walking side by side with their arms twined around each other more often than not. Some might view this show of affection as a sister-brother complex but it is not. The fact is, keeping physical contact with each other is their means of getting over the sadness and trauma of losing their family so fast. Well, more for her sake than his since he doesn't really remember their parents or other siblings. She's the only family he knows of. And he's her precious little brother.

She is polite toward her elders but, they'll need to earn her respect. Having been used as being the eldest and the decision-maker between her and her brother, those who are actually older than her would have to prove that they deserve the respect that their age or title entitles them to. She is kind and caring when the occasion occurs, but she will never spoil anyone especially when they are pretending to be hurt when they are not.

She likes to explore the nearby forest with her brother. She is the hunter in the family while her brother traps what animals have survived and are dumb enough to fall into the simple traps that Sirai devices. When not hunting for food, she often practices her archery while her brother practices sword dancing.

History: Kira was born among a family that had its traditions set in stone. Everyone was given sword dancing and archery lessons as soon as they are able to walk on their own two feet. Her childhood was spent in learning their family's stock and trade, and she was good at it. The family estate was located surrounded by forrested woodland and Kira loved to explore its depts either on a stroll, going along with her father in hunts, or even on survival courses given to everyone in her family down to the servants.

But then, life took a strange twist and she found herself the sole caretaker for her younger brother. She and her brother, Sirai, who had taken to following after Kira everywhere she went, had both been away in the forest when tragedy striked. To this day, Kira doesn't know if the fire that raged through her family's estate was accident or if it was set. If it was an accident, surely her parents or the servants would have done something to put it out, if it was set, then how was her father and mother overcome by their enemies that they weren't able to stop the fire? These were thoughts that kept going through Kira's mind as she and Sirai lived off the land far enough away from their family home that no one would be able to find them if there was a search being done.

However, in time, they were found and were put in the orphanage. Since Kira didn't want to be separated from her brother, it was hard to find folks that would be willing to foster both of them simultaneously. Hence, they stayed in the orphanage. While they lived in the orphanage, Kira and Sirai suffered under bullies at school who were bigger and stronger. It hurt that they weren't able to practice their sword dancing lessons and archery lessons. Kira remained undaunted as time passed, and soon, she was old enough to start working. Kira took her brother out of the orphanage and they went back to live in their family estate.

The main house got burned to the ground, but the guest house was still intact. It was shelter and that was where they lived as life slowly went back to routine. One day, as Kira was exploring the lake in the forest with Sirai, they came upon something strange. Near the lake shore, there seemed to be a mound of eggs. They would have just passed on by if not for the eggs rocking and the tapping noise coming from inside the eggs. Curious, they both went nearer, and it was then that the top egg shattered to reveal a golden dragon-like little creature. Not knowing what it was, Kira and Sirai were both first cautious and wary until the hungry cry of the creature got to Kira and she decided to feed it one of her sandwiches. She didn't know that the creature would Impress on her, but she kept feeding the little gold creature until it was full. By the time the gold was sleeping, Kira had it in the crook of her arm like a baby and she was crooning to it. She had been so engrossed with her little gold creature that she didn't know that Sirai had also managed to attract one of his own.

Kira named the little creature Empress, because of its golden color. She tried to find out what sort of creature it was online, but there wasn't anything she could find. It wasn't until she saw an article about dragons that rescued the folks of Kalispell in the Rocky Mountains that she realized that her little creature looked like an exact miniature of those big dragons. Having Impressed Empress for a year now, Kira wondered what it would be like if one of those big dragons decided to take on her. She talked with her brother about moving, and it seemed that they both had the same idea. And so, they packed what few belongings they had and made their way towards the Rockies and hopefully, to Rocky Weyr.

Physical Description: Empress is a large flitt. She has a metallic gold hide with a coppery sheen. She doesn't have any scars, but she does have a small heart-shaped birthmark in a pale gold color on her right flank. She has reached her adult lenght of 40 inches (3' 4") from nose-tip to tail-tip with a wingspan of 67 inches (5' 7"). When standing on all fours, her height taken at the shoulders is, 10 inches.
