IC Date: September 7th, 2012 IC Time: 5:39 p.m. [/u][/center] Yamina had been in the dining hall, eating dinner, when the pains started. First it was simply small cramps, like she was about her get her monthly. But they quickly turned into stronger, and oddly almost timed, pains. She stopped eating, the pain too great. Then he back started to hurt, and Yamina actually slumped over the table. She didn't know what was wrong with her. She had never felt like this before. And she had never felt pain like this either. The worst part was that it seemed to just be getting worse. Yamina gripped her paper towel as hard as she could. Her back and abdoman felt like it was on fire with so much pain. And now she could actually feel something inside her moving about. Tears started to stream down her face as she slumped over to the side, kneeling on the ground. Someone noticed her as they walked past, and stopped for a moment. The person, another young lady with a young blue dragon by her side, contemplated Yamina for a moment. Many knew of the gold weyrling, and the blue weyrling was no exception. She approached her. "Are you alright?" She asked, laying a hand on Yamina's shoulder. We should leave her, mine. If she wants to moan on the ground, it is not our business. The blue said to his rider. "We can't, Osoth. She is in pain. I'm going to take her to the Infirmiry." Theody answered her blue, wrapping Yamina's arm around her shoulders. As she started to lift her Yamina cried out in pain. Theody freaked, putting her back down. The woman sounded like she was in a great deal of pain. And Theody knew that she wasn't strong enough to simply pick her up and carry her to the Infirmiry. Instead she leaned down and spoke to Yamina. "Something is wrong with you. Is there anyone I can contact to come help you?" She asked. Yamina nodded. "Nomics of bronze Yurith. Please." She cried through the pain. ((Posted like this because I think it will be more fun. Since Yamina never found out she was pregnant. Also, anyone is welcome to join here.))

Sennia was - in the moment before Yamina's bloodcurdling scream - holding a spoon full of creamy tomato soup and cheddar cheese and bringing it toward her waiting mouth. In the moment after, she was cursing as the steaming red stuff burned her through her white shirt.
Needless to say, she had of course jumped as the excrutiating sound filled the hall. Finally, when her reddened skin stopped being so startlingly painful, she spun around to find the source of her dinner's interuption.
Her eyes settled on the sobbing figure splayed out on the floor, a sour looking Blue and another girl sitting beside her. "Your name is Yamina, right?" she asked as she looked over the scene and kneeled beside the three. "Yamina, what's wrong? What hurts?" Sennia sounded much more calm than she felt. She was used to causes she could actually see when someone was in pain. There was nothing at all wrong with the girl, Sennia was alarmed to note, but that she was in so much sharding pain.
Her amethyst eyes wide with alarm, she looked over at Theody. "Take hold of her feet. We have got to get her to the infirmary!" She grasped the crying girl under her arms, carefully holding her so that she could breath easilly. Whispering that it wasn't far, that she would get help soon, everything was alright, and finally, knowing full well that it would hurt her, how sorry she was for it, Sennia lifted Yamina up, trying to ignorethe sounds the girl must be making.

Yamina tried to breathe through the pain, and answer the woman that had come over to her. "My abdomen, and lower back. Feels like they're on fire. And it feels like something is moving inside me..." She said with a painful moan.
She tried not to cry out with pain as the new woman and Theody, for she recognized the blue weyrling, grabbed her hands and feet and lifted her. But she couldn't keep back the scream for long. All of her weight had ended up on her back, and that increased the fire that already burned there.
But something else happened at that moment. Just as they lifted her a small, but distinct pop was heard. A gush of water coated the floor and part of Yamina's legs. At the same time Yamina pulled herself into a small ball, for the movement inside her seemed to grow fiercer.
She moaned in pain. "What is wrong with me..." She asked no one in particular.

Abdomen, lower back... abdomen, lower back... That could be any number of things, most of which the Brownrider didn't know anything about. She was a Harper, not a Healer. Yet another reason for them to get to the infirmary as quickly as possible.
Passing on Yamina's plea for Nomics to Seeth, Senni gritted her teeth and struggled not to stop in her paced walk backwards down the halls toward the infirmary. She heard the girl's second screech and cursed the cowards that had only stared at Yamina as she had lain there on the floor. She was no better off, maybe worse, where she was.
Sennia did stop, though, when the pop rang distinctly through the air, followed by the gush of clear liquid from her legs. Staring incredulously as the girl curled into a ball even as she was held in the air, Sennia realized what this was. She had seen it before, in her mother, whe she herself was very young. "Yamina, nothing's wrong with you. You're having your baby."
How could the girl not know about this? Though Sennia had never had a child herself, even she knew that there was pain to be had in the birthing. Of course, she did not look like she was pregnant, or at the very least, like she was close to her time...Perhaps she did not know? Yet even that would be a little odd, as there was tell-ale signs to knowing it.
Carefully repositioning herself so that she could support Yamina's back as well - it a good thing she had kept the muscles her Weyrlingmaster had worked onto her - Sennia looked at Theody. She had kept silent since they had left the hall. "Shall we?" Sennia asked gravely out loud, though eyes held a question of whether or not she was alright.

Theody nodded, trying to help as much as she could. She didn't know the first thing about having babies, or any other injury or sickness. In that way she was a rather sheltered child. And she wasn't surprised that Osoth had followed. She sent him a questioning thought.
Perhaps I want to see what is happening. She is in pain. was all the blue said in answer.
Theody rolled her eyes.
Yamina tried to keep calm, and quiet. It wasn't helping to scream, and she didn't want to alarm the dragons. Which she could almost hear some of them roaring outside. But it was more of what the other woman said that quieted her. There was no way she could be pregnant. She hadn't missed a period, even though it had been lighter than usual. And she had not gained any weight, had not been sick...
Nothing. Everything had been completely normal until that dreadful moments what felt like hours ago. And the pain was only increasing, a deep pain that was pressing down on her abdomen. Pressing down so hard that her entire back hurt now. Even though it wasn't as painful being moved now. It seemed they had moved to better support her back.
Suddenly Proudeth was there, in her mind, attempting to soothe her. What is wrong, mine? What has you in so much pain? The last sentence came out a snarl.
Yamina shook her head, cleanching her teeth so that she didn't scream again. "I'm not pregnant." Yamina managed to say, although she didn't know if they could understand her or not.

In the Bowl, Seeth was amongst those who had been upset by Yamina's shrill, painful screaming. For him, it brought back equally painful memories of a different type of hurt. It was for that reason only that he roared aloud.
Seeth, darling, don't do that! Sennia pleaded. Him being upset did, in no way, aid what she was doing. Starting once again to walk and carry half the girl's wieght, she almost did not hear Yamina's rasping whisper as she struggled visibly to keep her pain silent.
"There'a nothings else that could be the reason, Yamina," Sennia replied gently. "Nothing I can think of anyway."

They had reached the Infirmiry by then, and Theody sighed slightly as a doctor and some nurses came running out. One of them had a wheelchair with them. Theody backed off as one of the nurses moved to where she had been standing. Osoth joined her, watching from just a few feet away.
"What's going on?" The doctor asked, taking Yamina's upper half from Sennia. With help from one of the nurses he was able to get Yamina into the wheelchair.
Yamina could have cried in relief. Her back felt slightly better, sitting in the wheelchair. But she still curled around herself, arms cradling her abdomen. She didn't know what was going on. She didn't even care at that point. She just wanted the horrendous pain to go away, and perhaps to see Nomics' face. Yes, that would have been wonderful...
Yamina kept her mouth shut, however, and concentrated on keeping quiet. Theody and the other woman knew what she had told them. They could tell the doctors, if they needed it. Yamina was just going to try to get through the pain, and let them do what they wanted to do. As long as the pain stopped, she didn't care.
A single word came out of her mouth, though, whispered with longing. "Nomics..."

Wild eyes. That’s the first thing a person would notice about Nomics as he dashed through the corridors. The next thing would be his apparent disregard for pain as he bashed into the walls in his frantic haste. “You bronze lug! Why didn’t you tell me sooner that she was in trouble!” he muttered to his dragon as he raced down the hall. Yamina! Im coming! the rider cried in his mind.
Yurith, ever the patient dragon, responded civilly to his rider. I told you when I knew, Nomics mine. She’s in the infirmary now.
“The infirmary??” a low and pained moan escaped his lips. What was wrong? Would she be ok? Why hadn’t he been WITH her when it happened!! He turned a corner and saw the door to the infirmary, the last obstacle between him and Yamina. Running even faster he threw himself at the door, turning the handle as he went and pushed the door open with his weight. He stood there, under the frame, as he looked around for his woman.
There she was! “Yamina!” Nomics cried as he ran to her. In two bounds he was at her side, “Yamina! What’s wrong!” he saw her pain and it pained him too. He was so distraught he couldn’t even form full thoughts. “Weelchair? Wrong? Ok?” which translated into ‘why are you in a wheelchair?? Whats wrong!! Is there anything I can do to make it better?’ regaining a little of his composure, and sentence structure, he actually said what he meant. He was petting her hair and murmuring to her that she would be ok when he realized there were other people in the room too. Answers. That’s what he wanted now and he would have them god damn it! Holding her hands he turned to the others and demanded, “What the hell is going on here!”

It was the nurse that answered Nomis, since she had gotten some of the going ons from talking to Theody. She turned almost calmly to Nomics, smiled slightly, and answered. "Yamina is in labor. She's going to have a baby." She told him, as if she was talking to a todler.
Yamina shook her head, holding tightly to Nomics' hands. "I'm not pregnant..." She moaned.
Another wave of pain hit her, and she sobbed slightly. The pain was almost unbearable, and the doctor and nurses were standing around doing nothing. She wondered how they even got their jobs, or kept them. They certainly weren't doing their jobs at that moment, and Yamina was beginning to get mad.
But it wasn't Yamina who finally exploded. No. Proudeth had found her way to the Imfirmary, and was now standing in the doorway growling. You stupid Healers had better move it and help mine before I bite everyone of your hands off!
Each of the nurses and the doctor went suddenly pale, and then they hurried to do as the little queen had said. The nurse began to wheel Yamina into one of the rooms, but had the decency to turn back and speak once more to Nomics. "You can come with her, since I'm assuming you're the father." She gave him a single shaky smile as she then turned and continued towards the room.
Proudeth was now standing beside Nomics. She gently nudged his leg, then nodded towards Yamina. She needs us. Let's go.
