IC Setting: A cold rainy night. It's 50 °F outside the weyr, and 65 °F inside the weyr.
Lesla & Green Houkath in Lesla's Weyr
Lesla was in her weyr getting ready for bed. Her flits were already asleep in various places around her bed and any flat surface that they have chosen to sleep on. In truth, she should have been sleeping at the Infirmary for the past sevenday just to be on the safe side, but Lesla didn't like sleeping away from Houkath. This is the reason why, we find Lesla in her own weyr, in her jammies, just about ready to tuck herself into her bed.
Houkath was also curled up around herself as if already asleep. In truth, Houkath was wide awake and just waiting for the time that Hers will finally give birth. If Houkath wasn't mute, a soft humming would already be heard coming from her. As it was, Houkath was just up and ready to give support to Hers should it be needed.
When Lesla was about to sit on her bed, her water broke. She gasped for it meant that she was about to give birth. At the same time, all her flits woke up, took a look at her, and promptly started humming, fit to wake the dead. Despite her situation, Lesla tried to hush her humming flits. "Quiet you silly flits. You'll wake everybody else up." she admonished her humming flits.
Houkath had also turned around to look at Hers. She noticed the soaked clothes and the puddle of water at Hers' feet. Without preamble, Houkath sent an image of Hers with the soaked clothes and the puddle of water at Hers' feet to Skirth. Hopefully, Skirth was still up and he'll let His know that Hers was about to give birth. Just because Houkath was deaf and mute, doesn't mean she hadn't learned to communicate in other ways. Sending images and emotions was one way for her to communicate to others.
With her water broke, Lesla knew that she should make her way over to the Infirmary. Hopefully the contractions wouldn't start yet. She didn't bother getting out of her wet clothes, she just took a shawl to put it around her shoulders. Thankfully, it wasn't cold in the hallways, as Lesla made her way to the Infirmary. Her flits flew about her, humming along the way. With all the commotion, someone must have heard it. Lesla just hoped that someone would be Liam.
Houkath had watched Hers get out of their weyr. She wanted to go with Hers, but she wouldn't be able to fit out there in the hallways. Silently, Houkath sent her love and support to Hers. All she could do was hope that Skirth received her message and hoped that Skirth's rider will find Hers quickly.
