IC Date: October 8, 2012 IC Time: 8 in the morning Setting: Comfortably cool inside Lesla's Weyr
Lesla Lesla paced anxiously as she waited for the result of the pregnancy test. It has been a couple of months since Houkath had her flight. She herself had been a maiden much like Houkath. They both had their first mating then. At last, the waiting was over and Lesla quickly hurried into the bathing room that was within her weyr. She'd been lucky when she had picked her weyr. Not a lot of weyrs, had their own private bathing room, like hers did.
When she got into the bathing room, she stared at the strip of plastic that gave evidence to her condition. Her eyes were wide and round with shock as she beheld the result of the pregnancy test. She had bought one of those kits that showed two lines when one is pregnant and one line when one isn't pregnant. There on the counter, the plastic stick displayed... two lines. "I don't believe it!" Lesla exclaimed as the inevitable truth finally reached her unbelieving eyes. Having shouted aloud, Houkath didn't hear her exclamation.
Lesla snapped her mouth closed as she thought of what to do. Since she didn't have regular monthly periods, she hadn't been in a panic when she didn't get her period last month. But now, now the evidence was right before her eyes, and that meant, she would need to talk to Liam, Rider of Brown Skirth. Looking around, Lesla wondered where her flitts were, until she called around for her flitt Brown Dragomir.
Dragomir flew into the weyr from outside the weyr. He'd been out getting something to eat. He was already a year old and has become adept in running errands for His. When he heard His calling for him, he didn't hesitate to go where His was.
Lesla spied Dragomir as he came into the weyr. With a smile for the brown flitt, she held up her arm so that he could land on it. When Dragomir was on her arm, she gave him a note to be given to Liam. Picturing Liam's face in her mind, she told Dragomir to find him and give him the note. Hopefully, Dragomir can find Liam quickly enough. Now all she had to do was wait and think about her having a baby.

Sleeping in the library, that's where he was. The brownrider had pretended to be reading, laying on his back in the space of a window, but the early hour had gotten the best of him, and frankly, at the moment, he wasn't even pretending anymore. He had the book spread over his face to block incoming light, and was thouroughly asleep.
Why? He'd been in the library since eleven pm the previous night, of course. Self-professed tough guy he may be, but the man loved him a library. And he often forgot things like time and food and sleep when reading. So he quite often napped in the library- Skirth would wake him if anything was urgent.
Except today, when instead, it was a brown little flitter chirping and making a racket. he swore at it quite impolitely, and tried to shoo it away, but it seemed insistent. So he stopped, and tried to recognize it. No luck. But then again, the irritating little buggers were everywhere, and he could hardly be expected to know each and every one of them.
Oh. This one had a note. "If you're telling me I have jury duty, I will let Skirth eat you." He informed the flit dryly before detaching the note and reading it.
There was a moment of pause.
A longer moment.
"You know, I think I would have preferred Jury duty." Liam groaned, as he picked himself up, placed the book on a nearby shelf, and tried to remember just where the hell Lesla's quarters were.
The note said little, just that she needed to see him and it was urgent. He knew what it had to be about (flights, he hated flights, he did, and on top of that he was pretty sure he could never look that young woman in the eyes again; dammit, she'd been a- a- he didn't want to think about it.) Personally, he would have preferred anything else but to find her, but...ah. Honor. Stupid thing, that.
SO he made his way to her rooms.
((Sorry, mini pp here. If you want me to change anything, let me know.))

Lesla As Lesla waited for Liam to arrive, she wondered if he would want her to keep the baby. She herself would like to keep the child, and she wondered if she could do so by herself if Liam didn't seem to be the fathering kind of person. So, when Dragomir came back from his errand, Lesla was a tad anxious to face Liam.
She made her way towards her door to let Liam inside before he could even knock on the door. Stepping aside, she gestured for him to come inside. Houkath was outside on their weyr ledge napping under the morning sun. She hoped that her green won't wake up soon and be witness to what she and Liam will have to discuss.
Lesla waited for Liam to come in, before she closed the door for their privacy. Except for Dragomir, her flitts seemed to be elsewhere at this time. Thanking the brown for his service, she sent him outside to where the others were. Hopefully, all of them will be busy either finding breakfast, or just basking under the rays of the morning sun.
When Liam was inside, she gestured for him to take a seat at one of the chairs in her room beside the table. She herself took the other chair facing him across the table. She really didn't know how to broach the subject tactfully, so she opted for the blunt truth. Gathering her breath and her courage, before she lost the nerve to say anything, she blurted, "I'm pregnant. You're the father." Then she waited for Liam's reaction.

He really didn't like that- the closing the door and stuff. Smacked of bad experiences in school, and he had really hated school. Teachers never liked him overmuch. Probably why he'd never finished. That or the three expulsions or something...
Where was Houkath? Liam certainly didn't know many other dragons, but he was sure as hell mostly used to Skirth talking to anyone and everyone who came into his personal space...maybe the green was asleep. It WAS early. Everything just had him dreading what came next- it was like a scene out of some terrible drama on tv- the buildup to whatever crazy bomb she was gonna drop on him.
And now she was pointing at a chair, and- shit. Liam had very few words for how he was feeling but all of them were in some way synonymous with 'bad.'
He wondered if she was going to offer him coffee or some sort of bland breakfast pastry. he also wondered if he hadn't been reading too many crime novels lately.
BOOM.
Dynamite went off as Lesla spoke. Metaphorical dynamite- it had been his attempt at levity. It failed. Because his reaction to that was to quit hovering by the seat she'd offered and instead fall into it with a shell-shocked look on his face.
He was very silent for a considerable amount of time.
"Oh." He managed finally. "Oh. That...I'm sorry."
He was really very bad with fast reactions.

Lesla Lesla blinked at Liam's reaction. She hadn't been expecting that kind of reaction. She looked around and belatedly realized that she didn't have anything on the table to offer him a drink. She quickly got up and crossed to another, a coffee table, where she proceeded to pour coffee into a mug. For herself, she just got a glass of water. She set them onto a tray with cream and sugar condiments. Walking back to the other table, she offered Liam the mug of coffee and letting him put cream and/or sugar on his own coffee mug.
Lesla once again sat down, cradling the glass of water within her hands. "You don't have to be sorry." Lesla said softly, as she took a sip of water. "It wasn't as if you intended for me to get pregnant. This is just the result of the flight." Lesla said matter-of-factly. But inside, inside she was a mess of emotions, just barely holding in her anxiety.
Taking another sip of water, she said, "Anyways, I thought that you should know that I intend to keep the baby." Lesla could barely look up at Liam. She didn't know if he would welcome the news of becoming a father soon or not. Probably not by the way he reacted to learning that I was pregnant. Lesla thought sadly.
Meanwhile outside, Lesla's emotions managed to penetrate Houkath's sleepy mind. With a sleepy voice, Houkath asked, Mine, what has made you sad? as Houkath blinked open her eyes in the morning light still groggy with sleep.
Lesla mentally shook herself. She must not let her emotions get to Houkath or the green will worry. It is nothing, Love. Go back to sleep. Lesla said as she urged her green to back to sleep. Pouring her love towards the sleepy green dragon outside.
With a mental shrug, Houkath opened her mouth to yawn, and once more arranged herself to take a nap under the morning sun.

Liam watched her in silence for a while, letting out a short little giggle as she actually set down coffe and stuff on a tray. Oh. He'd been... his train of thought always tended to be a little ...odd... but it rarely came true. He'd just been thinking that it smacked of 'bait and switch.' Offer coffee and then drop news like that on him. As if bland coffee ever helped... still, he waved off the cream and sugar and settled for staring at the coffee with the remnants of a bemused smile on his face.
"I'm sorry because..." Oh. Huh. Why was he sorry? Another long pause, and he shrugged. "I feel like I should have been more responsible?" He tried, and decided he didn't like that overmuch. Then again, he didn't think long because he was jerking his head back up to stare at her with what had to be the most interesting mix of fear and dumbstruck realization.
"You. I. Keep...? What?" He finally managed. Then-" You're.... keeping it." Another long glance into the coffee cup as if it would reveal the mysteries of life. It didn't. So he looked back at her, and sighed. "It's your decision, of course. I don't really have a right to tell you what to do. But what do you want me to do? I mean..." He shook his head. "I'm a little out of my depth here. I don't... I don't want to ... I have no idea what to do."
Finally her apparent outward calm frayed his last nerve, and banged his hand on the table probably more violently than he meant to. It was certainly startling. "How can you possibly be so calm?!"

Lesla and Green Houkath Lesla startled when Liam had banged his hand on the table. A telll-tale trembling of her hands as she cradled the glass of water, the only sign to show her frayed nerves. In most cases, Lesla is a shy person, unable to initiate most conversations. Maybe realizing that she'll soon be a mother has given her a steely backbone. With a shake of her head in answer to Liam's outburst, she shouted back, "I'm not calm at all!"
With that outburst, Houkath outside had woken up in alarm for she could feel Hers being anxious and afraid. With a snap of her wings, she went back inside, nosing open the thick tapestry that served as a door that kept the elements out of their weyr. She saw Hers sitting down with Skirth's Rider. Usually, because of her defect, Houkath couldn't communicate with anyone other than Hers. But maybe, because Hers was pregnant with Skirth's Rider's baby, there was enough of a connection to communicate with Skirth's Rider. With a hiss, she asked in a menacing tone, You! What did you do?! as she walked to place herself beside Hers her wings mantling over Hers. As if trying to protect Hers from Skirth's Rider.
Lesla struggled with her emotions and she knew she wasn't quick enough when she saw Houkath striding into the weyr. She had hoped that the dragon won't get involved with their discussion, but now that she was there, Lesla had to calm herself in order for Houkath to calm down as well. Inhaling deeply, she calmed herself down as best she could before she talked with Houkath.
"Houkath, Love. He didn't do anything. Calm down, will you?" she said as she reached out to give her green a gentle caress, while she projected a calming reassurance to the green. Lesla didn't even question that Houkath had communicated with Liam. She was too focused on calming down the Green.

Liam immediately flinched back as she shouted, realizing he'd been out of line. He, like her, was normally silent around pretty much anyone but his dragon, and the fact that he'd raised his voice at all was a mark of exactly how out of sorts this news had made him. Not that he was upset- well... okay. He WAS upset. But he wasn't angry. Just...scared. And the girl shouting back at him made him more than aware that he wasn;t the only one.
He hung his head slightly, ashamed, and started to apologize, but he was beat to action by the appearance of Lesla's pretty little green bursting in and hovering over her rider as if she saw him as a threat. Which...when he finally got over the shock of being snarled at and the angry-menacing echo of the green's voice in his head, made perfect sense. His own alarm at the green's voice and some shock, since he didn't think he'd ever heard her speak- had Skirth on edge, the black dragon tensing on his ledge and sending a wordless nudge of worry-fear-defensive to his rider. Liam just held up a hand and sent the equivalent of that motion to his dragon.
"Houkath, I apologize for startling your rider. I did not... I should not have raised my voice." He said, carefully keeping his voice level. "I promise I'm not going to hurt her, dear green. You have my word..." Hopefully she'd calm down- he didn't really fancy the thought of leaving. As much as he still wanted to run and never stop, he figured there was still a significant amount he had to talk about with Lesla.

Lesla & Green Houkath Upon hearing Liam apologize to Houkath, Lesla once more urged the green to calm down. "You heard him, Love. He didn't mean to shout. And he won't harm me. Trust me, Love." Lesla said as she caressed Houkath and sending soothing, calming feelings to calm down the green. Lesla had a fond loving gaze at her green as she worked to calm down Houkath.
If Houkath had any fur, she would have been bristling before she heard through her bond with Hers, Skirth's Rider apologize. She settled down, folding her wings close to her body, and sat beside Hers. Skirth's Rider may not intend to harm Hers, but she would just make sure that Skirth's Rider behaved. Looking at Hers, she asked, Well, what made you shout like that? And what's making you so anxious and afraid? as she looked back at Skirth's Rider, still convinced that Skirth's Rider was the reason for Hers feeling that way Hers was feeling right then.
Lesla heard the question in her mind and she wondered how she would answer. She didn't want Houkath to have a bad impression about Liam and she really didn't know if Houkath would grasp the meaning behind getting pregnant. But, she was not one to lie to her dragon so in a whisper to the green, she said truthfully, "I shouted because I wanted Liam to know how I truly felt. And I'm anxious and afraid because... well, because I'm pregnant, Houkath-Love. I'm carrying Liam's child inside me." as she once more faced Liam. Lesla continued speaking, explaining to Houkath, but really, more towards Liam so he knew what she... no what they faced. "This is my very first pregnancy Houkath. And I admit that it's scary. To think that I have a life within me waiting to be born. I know that this planet, this Earth, is very advanced in their medicine. But, I grew up in Pern, and giving birth has always been wrought with danger." Lesla said, and in her heart of hearts, she didn't say what was really worrying her. What if, in the act of giving birth, something happened to her, what will happen to her lovely Green Houkath? She pushed that thought away, burying it down her subconscious so that the dragon won't get even a hint of her fears. But her eyes belied the fear that she kept hidden from Houkath and hopefully Liam wouldn't think to mention it with Houkath in their midst.
Pregnant? What does that mean? Houkath being a dragon, didn't really know about human anatomy or what some of the medical terms meant. She just knew that it was something very important to Hers that included, Skirth's Rider.
Hearing the question, Lesla smiled while she was still looking at Liam. She thought fast and comparing pregnancy to a dragon's terms, she said, "Pregnant means I'm clutching, Houkath. And in seven months or so, my child will hatch out from my body when it's time for him or her to be born."
Houkath was puzzled by Hers' explanation, but accepted it as fact. If Hers was clutching, then Skirth's Rider must be the sire. But because this was a first for Hers, Hers was feeling anxious and afraid. Now Houkath could understand. Now she didn't look so cross at Skirth's Rider. Her own maiden flight had been so short that she knew that she wouldn't be clutching. But if she had, she'd also be feeling like Hers, worrying about her first clutch.
Lesla felt with her bond with Houkath that the green had finally calmed down. Once more, her attention focused on Liam. "I know that this child is unexpected, but... " her sentence trailed off, and she was unable to finish what she really wanted to say. To ask if Liam would at least be there, if he was needed. She really didn't think she'll be able to handle giving birth without the father of her babe there beside her when the time came.

Liam watched the dragon carefully, never quite taking his eyes off her. Not that he didn;t trust the green, but he'd been long ago trained to keep his guard up so long as there was any sort of threat around... even with Skirth bonded to him for something near two years dragons still rang up as a big ol' warning sign. Predators that big would set most humans on edge, given Liam's Earth upbringing.
His cold blue gaze shifted back to her as she began to speak, explaining to the green what was happening. And he felt somewhat worse now because of it. If he was scared, he could only imagine what the poor girl might be feeling. And- oh. OH. So much made more sense now, and he sighed and put his head in his hands. "I forgot you were Pernese." he muttered. "Oh. That... oh. Lesla, you realize that if there's any chance of anything happening, you can find out? The doctors here... you'll be alright." He was actually completely serious here, now focused on trying to reassure the greenrider. "And if you think for a moment I'll let you go through this alone, then i should probably apologize for the horrendous impression I've been giving you." He sighed. In the back of his mind he felt Skirth stirring again, the dragon probing his thoughts for what had his rider so on edge and confused, but the blonde shoved the dragon out of his mind rather forcefully. This earned him a worried huff, and he felt the dragon take up an equally affronted attitude and try to ignore him. Of course, he was breaking his bluff by worriedly nosing into his rider's thoughts every few seconds until Liam actually took a moment to try to fill the dragon in.
"Lesla. You don't have to be worried. I mean, the circumstances are...unusual, for me, at least given...well. Everything. But I'm not going to just take off." He glanced between the rider and dragon, and nodded, trying to be reassuring. "I'll do whatever I can for you. I just...don;t have the slightest idea what that might be." He admitted.

Lesla & Green Houkath Despite Lesla burying her fears deep within her thoughts, Houkath was quick enough to feel the vibe... the tension in the air between Hers and Skirth's Rider. She instinctively knew that there was something that Hers was trying to keep from Houkath. But by listening into the conversation through Hers, she realized that this so called, pregnancy, could be dangerous to Hers. That just got her hackles back up and once more worried for Hers. Looking up at Skirth's Rider, again, she communicated with him. Her mind voice, now tinged with worry, as her eyes began so swirl yellow evidence of her emotions towards Hers. Mine will be okay? Mine will not be hurt? Houkath asked of Skirth's Rider. If Skirth's Rider can reassure her of Hers safety, then she'd calm down and not worry too much with regards to Hers.
After Lesla heard Liam say that he'll be there for her and the baby, it was as if a huge boulder was lifted off her shoulders. She hadn't realized how much stress and anxiety, she had held in as she confronted Liam about her pregnancy. She had a smile on that lit up her face as she looked at Liam and said, "Thanks for saying that. I guess, I needed to hear you say, that you'll be there for me and the baby." After a pause, she continued, "And to be honest, I have no clue what you can do for me nor what I should be doing. Is there something that I should do, someone I should talk to, in order to make sure that our child will be born safely?" Because of her shy nature, she hadn't been really the type of person to make friends easily. She knew of the Healers in the Infirmary, but she didn't know anyone in particular that would help her with delivering her baby when it's time.

Laim was a little thrown off by the non-Skirth voice in his head. He'd been so off-put by even the black dragon's voice for the longest time that now Houkath's was throwing him for a loop. Halderoth's voice hadn't quite been as confusing, but the blue-green chimera had rarely spoken to him, and it's voice was about as calmingly emotionless as it was at all possible to get. But- there was one problem. He'd never heard Houkath speak; ever. She... was she the one who didn't speak at all? He could have sworn she was a mute...perhaps that was only vocally, like Skirth himself. Maybe she was just shy? He kept his thoughts to himself for the moment.
Houkath, however... she sounded worried, upset, and so decidedly protective that it actually just put a smile on Liam's face. "Houkath. I promise you I'll do everything in my power to assure yours will be perfectly safe. I'll keep her from harm." He promised her. He held out his hands, half pleadingly, half reassuring. "You can stop worrying, dear green. You or her just ask, and I'll come running."
Then Lesla's look had him laughing weakly. "I'm glad." Her question confused him for a moment. He knew she was Pernese, but he'd have assumed that with green dragons rising as often as he'd been taught they did (someone had been doing their homework, you know) he'd have assumed she'd have a little more knowledge on the subject...then again, he also seemed to remember it had been Houkath's first flight.
So he just shrugged. "We have doctors here that specialize in that sort of thing." He explained . "I mean, there are healers here, too, but...I think it might be best if we made sure you see an obstetrician. Uh- a doctor for uh...pregnant women." He finished. "I'll take you, if you want. I don;t know if there are any at the Weyr proper, but Kalispell isn't far, and I'm sure they have a hospital there." He seemed to consider something, then laughed. "We'll have to leave the dragons here, if that's the case. Would Houkath object to that? SHe saeems very protective of you."
And then- "Oh!" He exclaimed, and went slightly red in the face. "I mean- no. Just that, we can ask Faizah if there's a proper doctor to bring to the weyr, if you don;t like the idea of our Hospitals."

Lesla & Green Houkath Houkath may not be hearing Skirth's Rider speak to her directly. But over the years, she has managed to use either her Rider's hearing or Seichou as a bridge to communicate to those around her. And with her deeply bonded with Hers, Hers didn't mind that Houkath listened through Lesla's ears. With Skirth's Rider giving reassurance that Hers would be safe, Houkath once more stopped worrying about Hers. She trusted that Skirth's Rider would keep Hers safe. And with that, she was content to once more just lie there, beside Hers. Her interrupted sleep slowly taking over her, and soon, she was asleep where she lay, curled around the chair where Hers was sitting on.
Lesla blushed when she heard Liam explaining that there were special doctors for pregnant women. But, she smiled when she heard him said that he would taker her to one. "I'd be glad if you would take me to see this... um, the doctor for pregnant women." Lesla commented. She would have said more but noticed that Houkath was once more fast asleep. She fondly caressed her dear beloved green before she faced Liam to reply in a softer voice, "Houkath wouldn't mind me going out for a bit. But just in case, maybe Skirth could keep her company when we go out to see the doctor?" After a pause, she said, "I don't mind going out of the Weyr, but if it's safer to just ask Faizah then, that's fine with me as well." Lesla was glad she had decided to have this discussion with Liam. Now she didn't need to face the pregnancy alone.

Liam kept an eye on the green, not entirely sure he was doing any decent ob of reassuring her- what could he do, he didn't really know how to handle social things, really. Skirth touched the bakc of his mind in question as he began to get (more) nervous, and the blonde shoved the dragon aside- the 'black' dragon didn't really mind, being used to that sort of treatment, and he merely took it as a signal that things were okay, and if Liam really needed anything he'd ask directly.
But Houkath was sleeping again, and Lima took that to mean she had clamed down, no longer quite so worried.
Well, that made one of them.
The blush on Lesla's face was almost endearing, and he couldn;t help but laugh. "Hey, I've been raised here, I know what's supposed to happen, even if I'm woefully lacking in the knowledge department when it comes to ...a... women as a species." Yeah, there was that whole 'didn't date women' thing coming back to bite him in the ass again. Like he could have predicted this..
"I don't have a preference. I'm not sure Faizah does either, but there's more paperwork involved in briniging a doctor in. It's probably easier, for now, since it's early on and all, just to go to the hospital." He blinked, eyes going distant for a moment as he did indeed contact Skirth, the big creautre smugly informing him he'd be glad to keep lovely Houkath company if she wished it.
"Skirth says he'll stay with her. He likes her." Liam replied with a shrug, then stood, a little awkward, not knowuing where to go from here. "...I have no idea how this works. If you give me a moment, I can try to figure out the best time to go, unless..." Another confused look. "You're not asking to go now, right? That's a little last minute. Please at least give me time to properly have a mental breakdown about all this, and I'll get back to you then. " Joking, he was geunuinely joking, but, as Skirth reminded him, maybe he should stop the whole deadpan sarcasm thing when he wasn't one hundred percent sure other people would catch on.
"Er."

Lesla Lesla gave a more beautiful smile with a merry twinkle in her eye when she heard Liam laugh. He had a nice laugh and made him all the more handsome with a smiling face. But of course, she never mentioned any of that out loud. She waited, listening to him talk. Now that Houkath was calm and sleeping soundly once more, Lesla was once again focused on Liam and their child. She wondered, if she'd have a girl or a boy when the time came. She nodded in agreement that going to the hospital would probably be easier. And then she heard Liam asking if she wanted to go to the hospital now. She shook her head in the negative as she replied, "No!" in an exclamation. Panic, underlining her voice. After a pause, she continued in a more normal tone. "Sorry." she said, embarrassed at her outburst and glad that Houkath seemed oblivious to it. "No, we don't have to go right this minute. We can go another time." she added.
Then, because she had been thinking of whether she'd have a boy or a girl, she asked Liam what he would hope their child would be. "By the way, do you have a preference for the child's gender?" Lesla asked as she looked down her tummy, imagining the baby that was growing in there. And as she did so, she wondered if maybe she'd have twins. She had heard one of the Greenriders, Mentari, had given birth to twins.
[[OOC: I'm thinking of Lesla having twins or maybe even triplets. Still not absolutely sure which I'll want for her yet. Hopefully, I'll have decided by the time, Lesla's ultrasound is to take place. Hope you're okay with that.]]

((Absolutely fine! Anything is adorable/wonderful by me. Twins...oh wow. Triplets. Watch Li's brain explode THEN!))
A weak sort of smile, and he shook his head. "I was joking. Mostly. But good to know. I'll get everything set up for sometime later..." He didn't mean to be taking charge, but he was making a couple assumptions here. She was Pernese- as much as he'd be fine letting anyone else take care of this, he figured... there really wasn't anyone else. So he'd set up the Earthy-knowledge-required parts as long as she let him, try to take some of the work off her. SHe was, after all, doing the hard parts.
"Hmm?" He blinked, startled out of his thoughts by the question. "Oh, no. I don't really...never actually thought about it. Never imagined myself with children, you know?" He followed her action and made a kind of quiet sigh. Kids... his kids. Oh dear. Maybe he wasn't really joking about this 'mental breakdown' thing. "I guess... every dad wants boys, right? But I had a little sister, too... from what I can remember, she was pretty cute. And I could have an excuse to sic Skirth on any boyfriends... huh. I don't know, really. You?"

Lesla Lesla smiled fondly at Liam when she heard him talk about him having an excuse for Skirth to chase around a potential boyfriend of their daughter. "I don't have any brothers or sisters, so I don't know what having a sibling feels like. But, whatever our child turns out to be, I'd love it either way. Boy or girl." Lesla replied as she once more caressed her still flat tummy where her baby was growing inside. Now that they have pretty much discussed about them having a baby, Lesla didn't know what else to talk about. But since, there's no real reason for her to go see a Doctor right then, she was okay to let Liam go now that they have talked, unless he still wanted to talk about something else. "Um, well, I guess that's all I wanted to talk about..." she said, her sentence trailing into silence. She didn't really want to boot him out of her weyr, but it would be awkward if they didn't have anything to talk about while they were there. She was fine just spending a quiet time reading a book, but what about him? Or, they could go out and have breakfast together Lesla thought, but she was suddenly shy about asking Liam to have breakfast with her.

Liam laughed softly. "I think that's plenty of news for one day, isn't it?" He muttered, though he wasn't actually complaining. Sure, it was a lot, but... it was... well. It was news. Good, bad, he wasn't sure yet. But... he was finding he was now strangely... okay with the idea of children. Scared the hell out of him, but he was almost okay.
Well. At least, he was determined to help Lesla any way he could. Including...
"Uh. So I'm just realizing... I have no idea what you were doing here but I've been in the library all night." He said suddenly. "I am dying for coffee right now. Klah, I mean. Whatever. And I don;t know how far along you are, but if you aren't at the 'morning sickness' stage yet, do you want food? I think... I think that's important. Breakfast, anyway. Coffee at the. Or I could just leave. I think I might have left Spock in the library and I don't even know what he'll get into..."
Secret? Liam rambled when he was nervous.

Lesla Lesla couldn't help but smile as she watched and listen to Liam rambling. Still smiling, she said, "Breakfast would be lovely. I haven't had any." as she stood up to head out her weyr. She waited for Liam to catch up. Deciding to just go ahead and ask, she added, "Would you like to have breakfast with me?"
((OOC: Sorry for the short post. Couldn't think of anything else to write about. Anyways, this is just so we can close this thread. But red is still welcome to make one more reply if she wants. :3 ))
