Sirai & Bronze Emperor Sirai made his way down towards the lake. As he walked, he idly wondered why the lake was called Terra's Tear. But such contemplation was pushed aside as Sirai wondered who he can help with dragon grooming. He looked up at Emperor who was flying beside him. Sirai smiled at his flit saying, "Do you think there'll be someone we can help with their dragons?" Sirai liked to talk to Emperor as if the flit could answer back. Emperor just cocked his head, with a look that said, he had no clue what His had just said. Sirai just smiled and walked on.
Soon he arrived at the lake. There didn't seem to be any riders or weyrlings giving their dragons a bath. "Now what to do?" Sirai said allowed as he looked around. He was wondering if he should stay there for a bit and hope that a dragon will come swooping down to take a bath. Or if he should he try again next day and hope for the best. As he contemplated what to do, maybe someone will come around that would welcome his help.

"Rityth, dearest..."
The young green, not close to fully grown, snorted at her rider and even flicked her tail before padding over towards the lake.
"You do not need another bath. I just gave you one."
I am sure I have mud on my nose A pause. Who's that?
The green promptly put herself between the Candidate and her precious rider, peering at him with suspiciously-whirling eyes.
"Rityth, relax. I'm sure it's...it's not going to be an outsider, and nobody at the Weyr is dangerous. Annoying, perhaps, but not dangerous."
A chirp from her shoulder betrayed, most clearly, the presence of her gold firelizard. The little queen was, of course, eyeing Sirai's bronze with the assessing gaze only a queen could give, never mind that she was only about the same age as Rityth and far from her first rising. She was still a queen and the males were hers to command.

Sirai & Bronze Emperor As Sirai contemplated, he almost didn't notice the green dragon and her rider coming towards the lake. When he finally noticed the pair, he had his hands up in the air, to show he didn't have any suspicious weapons on him, as he said, "Hello there. I'm Sirai. A Dragon Candidate." Putting down his hands, he added, "A few of us were given the chore of helping out a dragon with their bathing and grooming." as he looked at the green dragon and tip-toeing over the dragon's head to try and see the dragon's rider.
Emperor had noticed the gold and flew by her, chirping a greeting. With Empress for a sister, Emperor was used to a gold ordering him about. He didn't mind it much, just as long as it wasn't anything that would harm His in any way or get His into trouble.

Miriam smiled. "I don't think we need much help, but the point is also so you can get some practice." He was a boy, and thus less likely to Impress a green. From what she had seen the green dragons preferred females or boys so gay they painted the entire room pink when they walked in.
She didn't get that vibe from this guy. "Assuming Rityth doesn't mind." The green snorted at Sirai, eyes whirling thoughtfully.
"Oh. I'm Miriam." She was just an earth girl...she wondered if this boy was Pernese. There was really no outward way to tell. They looked entirely human, could breed with earth people, and clearly were...human. Which was weird, she knew, but it was the way things were. And she was rather glad the *dragons* weren't picky.

Sirai & Bronze Emperor Sirai didn't know if the rider was still a weyrling or if she was already a full fledged rider. However, from the looks of the green dragon, she didn't seem to have grown to her adult size yet. Still, what did he know, he'd only been at the weyr for some months, not like he's an expert about dragons and what not already. Sirai decided to err on the side of caution when he added more about himself. "It's a pleasure to meet you Greenrider Miriam and Green Rityth." he said as he gave a little bow towards the rider, and the green dragon. "I don't mind doing what you tell me to do, as long as I'm able to help you." Sirai told Miriam although his eyes never strayed from Green Rityth. And because he was curious, he asked, "If you don't mind my asking... Are you from Pern or from Earth? Oh, I'm from Earth in case you're wondering." Sirai now looked at Miriam, trying to guess if she was from Pern or from Earth. He didn't bother telling her about his family name, since most folks in the weyr didn't seem to focus on them whenever they introduced themselves.

"Weyrling, actually...and I'm from Earth." Rityth sniffed at the candidate again. She was definitely a long way from full grown and in something of an awkward, gangly stage.
"Not that it should matter, I suppose." She flickered a grin as Rityth finally turned to splash into the water. The humans could talk...she wanted her bath and she wanted it *now*. Which should not be surprising, given the immediacy with which dragons lived their lives. Future and past tended to be far less important to them than present.
