IC Date: November 25th, 2012 IC Time: Noon/ Aurora ignored the doctor, stomping out of the Infirmary with what little grace she could. Four months, she had been in a coma, and she was needed elsewhere. Especially Faith, who was probably a raging green at this point. Which entertained Aurora somewhat... Not to mention, she wanted to see her son. Tamahome had allowed a damn stranger to take care of her child! She didn't care that he had experience taking care of kids. If anything, the lazy man should have taken care of her son himself! The fact that Z'ran hadn't shown up for his son's birth also rubbed her the wrong way. He had dared to get her pregnant, but then didn't even show up to the birth? What kind of a man was he?! If Aurora had any say in the matter, and she probably did, Z'ran wouldn't see his child at all from this day forward!

Z'ran had just been told by Uthekielth that Aurora was not only out of her coma, but on a warpath. Well, so was he. He had been needed elsewhere, namely keeping Uthekielth from ripping the Weyr apart, and when he returned, he had been informed by one of the nurses that his son was going to be taken care of by someone who had only just arrived at the Weyr.
That had started the normal peaceful man on the path to war. And it only got closer once he determined he couldn't even find the bloody man! Tamahome wasn't being much help, surprisingly, and was usually wrapped up with his own son. And that just made Z'ran all the angrier.
And bad things happen once Z'ran reaches a point of anger.
Striding quickly and angrily toward the Infirmary, as he knew she would be leaving it, he knew there were going to be fireworks of a bad kind. She was angry, he was seething, Faith was furious, and Uthekielth was...calm. For once, the hot-tempered bronze was keeping his cool. Perhaps because he was aware just how livid Z'ran was, and knew there was a chance that he would need saving.

Aurora saw Z'ran before he saw her, and she could feel her anger intesifying. If she was an anime character, her hair would have stood on end and her eyes would have flashed red. That was the extent of her anger. She charged up to Z'ran, pointing her finger in his face.
"You!" She yelled, furious.
Meanwhile, outside, Faith was flying and circling the Weyr, roaring her displeasure. She had been dozing and sunning before Aurora had woken up. And Aurora's anger was Faith's anger at this point. Faith honestly wished for firestone at this point, wanting to flame whatever had made HerHeart so angry.

As'ra As'ra coughed into the handkerchief that he now carried with him. He couldn't believe that he had gotten what the Earthlings called the cold. He had the sore throat for a couple of days, but he hadn't thought anything bad about it. Now, he regretted that he hadn't visited the infirmary before the cold had gotten worse. Aside from the cough, his nose was also plugged up. Getting a clean sheet of Kleenex, he blew his nose into it. He felt miserable as he made his way towards the Infirmary hoping that there'll be a Healer, or what the folks from Earth called a Doctor, was around to give him something for his cough and his plugged up nose.
As he was nearing the infirmary, he saw that Z'ran was ahead of him. As'ra idly wondered what the man was doing going to the infirmary when, Aurora, the Weyrwoman was suddenly in front of Z'ran. As'ra had the mind to side-step them but then Aurora started yelling. As'ra had frozen where he stood, behind Z'ran, and wondering if he should back out of there and leave. As'ra didn't really know the history between the two, all he knew was that Aurora had been in a coma for some months now and it looked like she was now out of it. She looked furious at whatever Z'ran had done. Indecision made As'ra stay where he was, hoping that the two won't notice him and be made the object of their anger.

Z'ran grabbed her wrist, pulling her hand out of his face. "Don't you yell at me, woman! I've been checking up on you every day since you've been unconscious! And before you demand why I don't have our son, it's because Tamahome, the flaming sod that he is, let someone else take him!" he snarled.
"My absence from his birth is inexcusable, yes, but it was that or let a certain bronze...beast..! tear the Weyr apart! And I was willing to take that chance of missing his first minutes in this world so he would have a home to live in!"
He clenched the hand that wasn't around Aurora's wrist into a fist, knowing she would still have some choice words for him, and possibly even more now that he had laid his hands on her. But he was too furious to care at this point.

She moved before she even knew that she had. Her hand swung up and slapped Z'ran hard across the face. At the same time she yelled once more. "Don't touch me, you bastard!"
She pulled her wrist out of his grip. With a snarl she flung her hair over her shoulder, aiming for hautiness. "And don't you worry about Tamahome. I've got a few choice words for him as well. But you... You should have found whoever has my son and taken him back!"
She pushed past Z'ran, throwing a single glare over her shoulder. She also had one last remark for him. "Surely your bronze wasn't on a three month rampage..."
That was when she noticed As'ra. For a moment the flames of anger continued to burn in her eyes. But then they calmed, and worry and hope came over her. She hurried up to him, her green eyes brimming with tears. "As'ra, do you know who has my son?" She asked in a pleading tone.

As'ra As'ra cringed in sympathy as he saw Z'ran get slapped. Now, he was realizing that it hadn't been a good idea to just stand there, witness to the fiery fireworks that had occurred between the Weyrwoman and the Junior Weyrleader. He had been just about to slowly step away when he saw that Aurora had finally noticed him standing behind Z'ran.
With a nervous gulp, he stood his ground, wondering what the Weyrwoman would want with him. And it seems that Fate would be toying with him for Aurora had asked him the one question that he couldn't give an answer that the Weyrwoman would want. He prepared himself to get a tongue lashing as he said, in almost a whispered voice, "I'm so sorry, Weyrwoman. But I don't know who has your son." Then he steeled himself for what was to come.

F'tem had been caring for the infant Zever for months. Without a conscious mother or present father, he had been the sole caretaker for the boy since his birth. Not that he cared, mind you. He loved children, and he loved Zever all the more because he took care of him. However, it seemed as if their peaceful time together was coming to an end.
My friend, the Weyrwoman has woken from her sleep, Kenteth murmured quietly from his couch in their weyr. Those softly spoken words ignited F'tem's temper for a moment, causing him to freeze in his actions and set his customary scowl back on his face. Ignoring his Rider's attempts to calm his annoyance before Zever woke and noticed his guardian's change of mood, the Blue calmly continued. Yes, F'tem, she is awake, and has already flown into a rage. Faith is following her example.
F'tem would have sworn all the oaths he knew if the child had not been there, and asleep at that. Watch the boy, would you? I might as well take care of the brat now. Pulling a blanket carefully over Zever, F'tem slipped out and began to make his way toward the infirmary, where he was certain they would attempt to keep Aurora.
Overhead, he could hear Faith roaring her displeasure. And as he neared the Infirmary, he could hear the snarling and screeching of two people having a very animated argument. As he rounded the last corner, he saw three people, two men and a woman. One man seemed infuriated, the other rather timid, and the woman was looking pleadingly at the latter. He stopped, stance wide and face set into a furious scowl.
He decided he would wait until he was noticed.

Z'ran's temper only flared as Aurora slapped him, and he didn't give her the pleasure of showing pain from her slap. Besides, he had been hit worse for less. "You've been unconscious; How would you know what my bronze has been up to?" he growled at her retreating back, making sure she heard him.
"The only thing Tamahome told me was that a new bluerider had our son, and that he would be well taken care of until we could claim him. He didn't even tell me the man's name!" he snapped before he caught sight of first As'ra, then the stranger beyond him. "You! Who are you?" he demanded of the man, unaware that it was the very man who was caring for the infant Zever.

It was Tamahome's turn to appear from seemingly thin air. And appear he did, right behind F'tem. He had a hard expression on his face, and he certainly wasn't pleased. Jackaloth, outside, mimicked his rider. Both were edgy, and both were ready for a fight.
As it was, Tamahome was the one who stepped forward when Z'ran asked F'tem who he was. He glanced once at Aurora, giving her a look that told her to keep her mouth shut. Then he glanced back at Z'ran.
"You may want to give him a little more respect than that, Z'ran. His name is F'tem, and he has been taking great care of your son." He growled menacingly.
Aurora ran over to F'tem, almost tackling him in her haste. "Where's my son?!" She screeched, grabbing the front of his shirt.
Tamahome whirled around, grabbing Aurora by the upper arms. He spun her around to face him, but was surprised when he saw her eyes brimming with tears. His expression hardened, and he relaxed just little. It was obvious that Aurora was worried about her child. And she wasn't the one to blame for leaving the boy parentless.
That was Z'ran's mistake...
Tamahome sighed, wrapping his arms around Aurora and giving her a small hug. He didn't care much for her, but there were moments when she was a normal person. And it was times like this that Tamahome could almost believe Aurora was a friend. He sighed again, leaning down slightly to murmur soothingly to her.
"Don't worry. Your son is healthy and strong, Aurora, all thanks to F'tem." He told her softly.

Z'ran growled dangerously low in his throat, and Uthekielth outside bellowed his outrage. The rider turned to glare at Tamahome before he had one, scathing, fury-filled statement for the brownrider. "He wouldn't have had to take care of him..." he growled, pausing a moment. "...IF YOU HADN'T BEEN A FLAMING BLOODY SOD AND TOLD ME WHO HAD MY SON!" he howled, hand snapping to where he normally had his dagger.
Luckily for everyone present, he was in too much of a hurry to intercept Aurora to grab it. And then everything hit him at once. The anxiety over whether his son was okay or not, or whether he would ever see his son. He staggered, slumping against a wall farther away from the gathering crowd, and something inside the normally cheery man just broke. He slid to the ground, staring blankly at no one as pained tears suddenly came to his eyes. "Please...I just want to see my son...He's the only family I have now," he whispered, eyes screwing shut against the tears. The tears and the pain he knew would come with his heartbroken plea.
"I know I should have been there sooner, been there to take him, but I needed to calm Uthekielth, too. And then no one would tell me where he was...!" he sobbed, hardly louder than his previous statement. He held his head between his knees, almost feeling actually sick as every emotion he had been fighting for the past several months assaulted him at once.
"No one deserves that kind of hell..."

As'ra As'ra gave a silent relieved sigh when Aurora's attention was taken away from him. He had felt bad that he wasn't able to give the Weyrwoman the answer that she wanted to hear but he really hadn't know who had been given the responsibility of taking care of the Weyrwoman's baby. And though attention was no longer on him, he was still in the center of what looked like the eye of the storm. It seemed the those that needed to be here to confront Aurora had decided to come this time of day. He had been thinking of slinking away but then he noticed that someone else had joined their group. And then, while Z'ran had been talking in reaction to Aurora's slap, the Weyrleader had also joined the group. Now As'ra was in the thick of it, and he didn't really know what to do except to keep his silence and hope that he wouldn't get tangled with whatever was going on. He really didn't think he could answer anyone's question or explain why he was still standing there, in the midst of everyone who seemed to know why they were all there. He was like a fly caught in a spider's web and there was no way out. And yet, he didn't regret being caught in the web for he was a silent witness to whatever was going on. If anything should happen because of this, at least he could give an accounting to anyone who would want to know what happened here. But that didn't been he should try getting out of the way so that the others attention will not focus on him.

F'tem glanced back at Tamahome as the man strode up. He barely knew him, but understood that the Weyrleader was a good one, one that took good care of his responsibilities. Don't misunderstand, F'tem still did not trust him. F'tem trusted very few people, and so far none of those people were on Earth. But that did not mean he did not give Tamahome some grudging respect.
When Aurora leapt at him, the only thing keeping them both from hitting the floor was F'tem's customary wide stance. Even so, he stumled backward slightly as she hit him. Nodding a single time in thanks as Tamahome grabbed the brat away, he looked at the howling Z'ran.
"If you had cared much to find the boy, you would have figured it out, I'm sure," F'tem retorted coldly. Glaring down at the now weeping Z'ran, he continued. "I believe, after all, I am the only sharding Rider to come to Isle since Zever was born!"
What a sorry world, F'tem thought, dismayed by the emotional show being put on by the Weyrwoman and her partner. If this was what happened to those that dwelled here, he sorely wished he had not been sent here at all. Quite frankly, it was pathetic. Riders were supposed to be strong and dependable. This entire scene showed that these two were definately not.
F'tem, Kenteth chided. They are upset, and have been under great strain. Yes, even Aurora, he added in a voice that allowed no argument. My heart, perhaps you should calm your attitude and allow some understanding a patience to color your vision. I know you have those somewhere in the hard head of yous. F'tem could only grunt in reply.
Sighing in extreme exasperation, he turned his eyes back to Aurora. "Zever is asleep in my weyr. Kenteth is watching him. And attempting to sooth your rampaging dragon! Shut your dragon's mouth before he wakes up!" Still scowling, F'tem looked down at Z'ran.
"You can see him. But I'll be damned if I bring you to him like this! Get yourselves together and I might, just might, let you come along."
FInished with all he really wanted to say, he finally looked toward the young man that stood watching the entire exchange rather aptly. "Who're you?" he asked bluntly.

Aurora was listening intently as soon as the man, F'tem, said that they could see Zever. Her temper flared, and she was half tempted to tell him that she would see her son whether he liked it or not. He was her son after all.
But she remained calm. She didn't want to make this man angry. He had done a good thing and taken care of her son while she was in a coma. And for once, Aurora didn't feel angry. Faith seemed to sense this, and quieted herself after a moment. Instead, Aurora went over to Z'ran, offering him her hand.
"Let's go see our son..." She murmured softly to him.

As'ra As'ra had kept his silence as he watched the... well, the drama unfold before him. And then, his fears was realized when another man noticed him. Instinct made him put up his hands in the air as he hastily replied, "I'm As'ra of Blue Azreth. I was just on my way to the Infirmary when..." His sentence trailed in silence for he didn't really want to recount what he had witnessed with everybody still there. He'd take what he had seen to his grave if it meant for a peaceful resolution to what had transpired among Aurora, Z'ran, and the man who was taking care of Aurora's baby. And then, with his hands still up, he stepped to the side of the hallway, to let Aurora pass when he heard her speak, 'Let's go see our son...' to Z'ran.

Z'ran's head jumped up once he heard footsteps, and then his surprise only continued to increase when Aurora bent down and offered her hand to him. Even greater was his surprise when she murmured, "Let's go see our son..." But instead of declining her offer, he took her hand and pushed himself off of the floor, not wanting to pull her over. She was smaller than he was to begin with, and her extended coma didn't help her case.
But then he looked over to F'tem, pulling his panic and fear and half a dozen other emotions back under his control. "F'tem, I would love to see you stop us from seeing our son. Only Aurora has the right to stop me from seeing him," he growled.
They had, undoubtedly, gotten off on the wrong foot. And it would be a hard thing indeed to patch up the rift that was left between him and the bluerider.
