Another Snippet of Idea

Um. So we have a plotting and planning area, but here's osmething I'm tempted to suggest.

Um. An area for One-on-One roleplaying? A place like the Weyrs section maybe, so two chracters can have a private conversation/etc, or a place to rp out the...um...details of a flight, (And I don't mean anything naughty, mind you) or the effects of the morning after, or something. Or any sort of one-on-one type place. I don't know.

I guess the Weyrs section would be a decent place, too, but it might get a little difficult if you have more than one thing going on at a time. Or would it be okay, in the Weyrs area, to post a regular rp that just happened in the personal weyr, then request it be archived if it finishes?

And another thing that sort of intruiged me about poking in some other forums; A no-holds-barred adult section?
Again, not even necessarily sex, or anything, but a place to put more mature threads that not everyone would be okay with. I don't know...

And the last one: A section for more than the main room of the Weyr? Maybe a section like Weyr: The rest of the Weyr. So we can put threads in ahllways, other rooms, the kitchens (though that could go in the main part, I guess) any place like maybe a large hangout-type area, like a common room, or something.

I'm just thinking too much. Tired, you know. ANYway, it's an idea. Or two.

Well, you're all welcome to have one-on-one threads wherever you like.. you can just mark it as Private. As for the mature threads, you're welcome to that too, as long as it's marked Mature.

Now the 'other parts of the Weyr' one, is doable. I'm just thinking that maybe the thread won't stay in the hallway/closet/whathaveyou, and will eventually move to someplace like the dining hall or outside in the Weyrbowl. Which is fine, I'm just hoping that the hallway part will be a substantial thread, not just an initial meeting to be moved somewhere else.

Anyways, I want everyone else's opinions. GO. :3

-thumbs up- for marking threads as Private/Mature. However, in the case that we have young, corruptible minds lurking, I would feel better with a password-protected forum for mature threads... As many other forums I've been on have done. Of course, one would have to ask for the password... Yet, we could just go with the universal rating of PG-13 (or M) and caution visitors on this.

And yes, I think some additional forums would be awesome. Like the kitchens. And a common room or something. I would totally roleplay in a hallway. xD I've done so before. T'was awkward trying to get a huge brown weyrling in there... -chuckles to herself- But yeah, sounds good to me.

OH. A LIBRARY? ! I mean, it's Earth, so why not? And if it contained some scrolls from Pern, Rafael would have another reason to go into the weyr.

I think that marking a thread Mature will be enough warning. Those whom are corruptable will look eventually, so let their parents or themselves decide whether or not they read the mature threads. Barring their way to it just causes problems. I know from personal experience.

New forums sound fine with me as long as the main portion of the RP takes place in said hallway/closet/whatnot.

And yes. A common room and/or library sounds wonderful. We can have a whole grand opening for it.

Yes, I prefer the warning in the title anyway. It's their own fault for looking... They can't say we didn't warn them! D8<
