There are two entrances to the Greenrider's and dragon's weyr. One is the openning into the air, from which the easy-going dragons and Riders may come and go. The other is a regular doorway, from which people can enter at J'kent's and Marith's permission-if it is not the Weyrleader or Weyrwoman, anyway.
The room that you would first see when you entered is not that large, but large enough. It is big enough for Marith's couch, as well as a large table and a well equipped desk. A long and wide white couch stands against on wall, and a large flatscreen television is completely opposite. The couch is adorned with comfortably pillows, all of them either light pink or gloden tan. A soft blanket (also pink) is folded on one corner.
Marith's couch is plain but comfortable. It is a very dark green as well as a golden tan in places, most often in the thick leather strips used as thread that melds the stiff - yet soft - leather together and in place. There is several fluffy and soft pillows next to it, but they never stay, for just before Marith settles down to sleep, she shoves them off. If she doesn't, she does while she sleeps.
In that room, there are three other opennings. The first is into J'kent's bedroom; the second goes into J'kent's study and library, however small it seems, and the third goes into the bathroom.
J'kent's bedroom is immensely private to him, and he doesn't let anyone in there at any time, not unless the person(s) has express permission. The walls are painted a dark green, but they are splattered with pink and gold paint. Both complimentary colors are in varying shades. The walls are furthur adorned with posters and pictures of different friends and friends J'kent wants to make, but is not sure how they would react . Stars are drawn around his favorites, unlike hearts that most would draw.
J'kent's bed is queen sized. It is covered in several layers of blankets which can easily be folded back on the different tempetured nights. On top is a thin blanket, soft and comfortable. The one underneath is heavy and thick, for the freezing nights of the cold winter. The colors are soft, either a light, nuetral green, hazy - golden tan, or light pink. They seem natural in this room. His pillow is thin and flimsy, serving just as a slightly raised place to place is head after a tiring day.
There is a plain, wooden desk placed in one corner of the medium sized weyr. It's a solid stained oak desk, with three identically sized drawers on the left side. There is a sleek laptop on the top; it is always open and running. Microsoft Word documents are usually the ones running, occasionally a website. The usual documents you see are the plans for the single Candidate's lessons. Those aare the ones that usualy aren't password protected. On the desk is also stacks of papers, maps, several books - one or two of them is sometimes just for the pleasure of reading at times - and multiple pencils and pens.
A worn oak chest filled with Pernese clothes lies at the foot of the bed. There is a large oak dresser not far away. Filling it is casual and formal clothes that would be accepted easily on Earth. However, in it's own seperate area, hanging unlike almost all the other articles, is J'kent's riding gear.
Oak shelves stand near the desk, and lining them are many needed tools, books, and oils of a dragonrider, as well as many other things.
An openning near the bed is covered by a thin curtain. It opens to reveal a bathroom, with a bathtub, sink, and other bathroom essentials (It would be a little embarrassing to have to go through all of the stuff in there). There is also a door leading into the "main hall" of the weyr.
When J'kent is in his and Marith's weyr, he is more easy going and girlish than usual, seeming to drop all worries and stresses. He's the long ago troublemaker that was left behind as he matured into the hard working Greenrider he is now; in other words, he is the young mischievious weyrbrat, except much older, as well as bonded with his own dragon.
