Gorth is a bronze that could compete with Mnementh in size and strength. Due to problems hatching, though, Gorth can not handle long flights in the thin air around the Weyr and doesn't have the stamina of Surth or other dragons. He is calm and takes life as it comes but he enjoys living. His best friend is Surth, who has always encouraged him to be more than what F'lar and Lessa believed he would be.
Hobbs is an eccentric and malicious lizard, often playing cruel jokes and pranks on the others. Reyna is the only one who doesn't fall for his antics anymore, and he doesn't bother the bigger dragons much either. Often he likes to nip at Kain and Faizah's hands when they're stroking him, only to laugh as they scold him.
