Mating Flight Rules

Below is a list of rules that accompany the mating Flights of Rocky's dragons and firelizards. These rules also apply to wher Runs. The staff asks that you abide by them, to make Flights, and events that occur as a result, easier for everyone.

• Tasteful roleplaying. Keep it PG-13. Flights are open to everyone, and a Flight should never go above the PG-13 rating. If you wish to roleplay this out, then take it off the forum, thank you. As per ProBoard's TOS, we do not want to see it on the forum.
  
• Flights cannot be placed within five days of each other, OOC. This gives the weyr 10 days between Flights, and ensures that we are not overrun with clutches.
  
• To place a Flight, members are welcome to use the forum's calendar for such events. It is very advised that you do, to make sure that you can have the Flight on the day that is best for you, and so we don't have multiple dragons Rising on the same day.
  
• If you have a clutching female, you are permitted to create the clutch yourself. However, you are required to send the information to a member of the staff for us to look at, and use if needed. (For example, the member is unable to post at the hatching in a timely manner, posting at least once a week.) The staff reserves the right to make any changes necessary.
  
• If you have a clutching female, the staff will message you, letting you know if your female is to clutch or not, and what size. This is to regulate how many clutches are on the sands at once.
  
• Because the clutchmother belongs to the member, you are also permitted to hatch any dragons you would like. Information will be sent to you as per requested.
  
• If the sexualities of the riders clash, and you are not comfortable with playing that, you are advised to not join the Flight.

In order to limit the number of clutches, the staff has decided to close the calendar to member additions. If you are in control of a female, and you would like to hold a Flight, please contact a staff member with your preferred date. The staff will check to see if that is a good date for your character's Flight/Run, and get back to you. If the date has been approved, then the staff member will also add a calendar entry on that date for you.

As soon as possible after your dragon's Flight has ended, a staff member will contact you on whether or not your dragon will have a clutch. Because Earth is Thread-free, females will not always produce clutches. The staff will also give you a ballpark range for the clutch size, provided your dragon has a clutch, but other details such as color, markings, adult size, and personality are up to you to decide.

It still stands that the clutch information must be sent to all staff members at least a week before the assigned hatching date. If the staff does not get this information, to make sure it fits the standards and to make changes if needed, the hatching thread will be locked until the required information is sent.
