~I took control of Kain for the sake of starting the thread. I hope it's alright.~
Gregory followed after his Weyrleader as swiftly as he could out into the cold driving rain and mounted Jadavath. As soon as her rider was on her back, Jadavath stretched her wings out and leapt up off the ground making sure she stayed in close formation with Kain and the rest of the wing until the got to the town.
Upon reaching the flooded homes, Gregory spotted a man scrabbling on the top of his floating car. Mentally instructing his Green, the two broke ranks and hurtled down towards the man. Naturally the guy panicked and Jadavath had to catch him from jumping into the rushing water.
Jadavath, I can't yell to him over this rain. Will you ask him to mount?
Usually the Green's reply would have been a curt, 'Of course not.', but today she listened.
Come. Get on my back. MyGregory wishes to rescue you.
The man seemed to go limp at the voice in his head, and Gregory took the opportunity to reach down and pull him astride the saddle. Once the man was secure, Gregory thumped Jadavath's back and she swiftly gained altitude in order to search for another flood victim.

Kain and Gorth were leading the Wing, and he was not thrilled to see Crucith and Z'volm among his Wing. He had heard was a nuisance they could be. But he kept his mind on the task at hand.
Within less than a minute he saw Gregory and Jadavath descend to retrieve someone. He smiled at their diligence, then kept his own eyes open for people that needed his help. Within a few moments he felt Gorth nearly dive for a small stand of one floor houses with water halfway up the building. Then he saw what Gorth had. There was a few families huddled on the highest roof.
Gorth landed as well as he could, keeping his wings and tail stretched out to maintain his balance in the rushing waters while Kain jumped onto the roof and hurried over to the people. There was a man, two women, a teenage girl and then a small boy. Kain leaned closest to the man, who had gathered them all close in fear of the massive dragon before them.
"It's alright! I'm here to help! Please, mount onto the back of my dragon and hold tightly!" Kain explained, gently grabbing the elbow of the child, who had slipped and fell.

Lanrhakah was sleeping soundly in her room as the rain began to cause the flooding. it seeped through the cracks in windows and doors, and then came in full force into her home. with a yell, the girl awoke, and scrambled out of bed. grabbing her two sisters' hands, the three headed towards a fire escape. As they went out onto it, Lanrie's younger sister slipped and fell, and lanrhakah nearly fell as well, trying to reach for the little girl's hand. But, within seconds, her baby sister was gone, torn away by the flooding.
With tears in her eyes, Lanrie whipped around and helped her elder sister climb the slippery steps to the roof.
Somewhere, amid the rain and water and the darkness, Lanrie lost sight of her older sibling, and, alone and desparate, she called futily for help, clinging to the shingles of the roof as the water threatened to drag her down. "Help! Help! Someone! Anyone!!!" she called out, her tears mingling with the rainwater pouring down.

Jadavath circled a broad area looking for more flood victims to aid. The Green knew she could burden herself with one more person before having to return to the Weyr. On her back, Gregory tried to calm the man freaking out in the saddle behind him. The man had a death grip on Gregory's chest, and the rider was sure there would be bruises. As Jadavath did her best to ignore the slight tremors of annoyance over the bond, she happened to spot a frantic girl yelling for help.
Spiraling down with a quick word to Gregory, Jadavath pulled in as closely to the building as she could and repeated the same process she had with the girl as she had with the man.
Can you jump? MyGregory will catch you and pull you on my back.

Lanrie had been hopeless, yelling for help even though she thought she would die. But then, as she thought she might be slipping off the roof, a great green something pulled in close and Lanrie gasped: the flying creature beside her, with two men aboard it's back, was a DRAGON! Just as she reached this conclusion, amind seemed to touch her's, and before she could withdraw from the mental touch, she heard the words of the dragon beside her.
Thinking that she must either be delusional, this was all a bad dream, or that she had died, Lanrie leaped off the shingled roofing. she hadn't noticed hwo tired she was until she pushed off with her legs, but she had a sinking feeling that she wouldn't make it well, if im already dead, or sleeping, i wont die...
reaching out, Lanrhakah desparately attempted to catch the man--who seemed to be the dragon's rider-- 's hand.

Gregory gave a startled cry that was stolen by the storm's howling and quickly darted to the side and grabbed the girl's arm near the shoulder. The Greenrider knew that the rough grab probably hurt and was glad when he didn't hear the sound of her shoulder dislocating itself. Reaching down with his other hand while trying to keep his body stable for the other flood victim, Gregory hauled her up and swung her behind his cling-on. Then tapping his Green's back, Gregory signaled for Jadavath to take off and head away from the town.
Jadavath responded and took the odd trio on her back even higher into the storm. They couldn't get too high out of fear for the lightning, but with a dragon's poor nighttime vision, it was important to get out of the way of buildings. Angling her wings, Jadavath swooped out of the town and headed deep into the Rocky Mountains that had become her home.
Gregory was having trouble breathing with how tightly the man was constricting his chest.
Jadavath, please reassure our company. I can't breath.
The Green fought down the urge to growl. The man was harming her Gregory, and she was expected to honor him with the sound of her mind-voice? This may be an emergency, but Jadavath was getting uncomfortable with the thought of how many people were going to be 'hearing' her tonight that wasn't her beloved.
Addressing both impromptu riders, Jadavath attempted to reassure them.
Please relax. My name is Jadavath and the man is my bonded Gregory. We are taking you somewhere safe from the storm and flood. You won't fall, so please don't cling to each other so tightly. Instead, wrap your feet in the straps that hang from my saddle.

Lanrie gasped as she hung over open air for a moment, before the rider grasped her under the arm. For a moment, marvelling at how he liften her into the saddle one-armed kept the pain at bay. Thankfully, her shoulder didn't dislocate, but the harsh pain hit her strongly.
Wincing against the pain, she looked around at the saddle, and thought it a strange contraption.
Just as she was worrying about how to stay on it, the dragon's mind contacted her's again.
straps? she asked herself-- then she saw the saddle-straps, and tucked her legs into them, and lightly holding onto the shoulder of the rescued man in front of her, who seemed to have been paniking.
I must be going crazy:I'm on a DRAGON!
Thinking about the dragon and wondering where they were going kept her mind from thinking too much about her family...
Lanrie struggled to keep in a sob as she remembered the surprised and scared face of her little sister as she fell... remembered howshe had fought with her parents the night before... now she was alone, and she would never see any of them again.
the realization hit her more strongly than the pain in her arm was, and she unconsiously tightened her hand on the man's shoulder.
