This thread is for those who stayed behind at the Weyr to help the incoming villagers, and for the dragons dropping them off.
Those directing the villagers can access any part of the Weyr from this thread, such as the kitchens, infirmary, and any storage rooms. The refugees will be housed in the many empty Candidate rooms to the right side of the Weyr.
Dragons and riders, please feel free to keep your entrance and exit in as little as one post. You can safely assume that all of your passengers, whether owned by another member or not, will dismount. This prevents a rider/dragon pair from being held up by the owner of a refugee. ^-^
Post away! :D

T'sai turned and left the hall as soon as he had recieved his assignment. He would be helping the passenger refugees to dismount and then welcome them inside with the promise of warmth, medical aid, and refreshments. Gruulath could help carry any that didn't seem able to walk on their own do to shock or actual injury.
The rain pounded on the Brownrider as he stood outside waiting for the first wave of arrivals.
---
Iggent looked to Iggesk and the two moved in perfect sinc towards the infirmary. They would load up on 'first aid' supplies and carry them to the greeters. Some of the refugees would require immediate aid, and they may not be able to make it to the infirmary. It would be best to have some medical stuff on hand for them.
Iggesk looked down to his handler in something akin to approval as the two walked.
Iggent finally serious. Good. Iggent not let anyone down.

((Just using my own refugee-riders now, but can we assume any rider/dragon who's returned, even without a post in THIS thread, has refugees here now?))
Kye growled in tandem with the large bronze wher by his side, the sounds exactly the same in nearly all ways. Chances were, neither even realized it. Still, the pair was scrambling towards the drop-off area, where Kyesk had informed them at least one of the shinybigones had landed with passengers.
Riley wasn't far behind, either, with Risk snapping occasionally and pushing him along. (Riley didn't think this was quite fair, as Kye had had much longer to perfect the art of using his Wher's directions and borrowed eyes to navigate in weather and darkness like this.)
But when the panicked murmur of voices reached him, Riley's mind immediately re-focused. When the pale green dragon touched down just long enough to get a shivering young man to the ground, Riley mumbled a 'thank you' and took hold of the teenage boy's shoulders. When the sodden young man went slightly limp, Riley just sighed and called Risk over. The heavy brown set his bulk against the boy's back, and Riley told the refugee to hold on to the brown's neck. Riley supported the man from the other side, and they began the slow trek up to the infirmary.
Kye glanced to his side, surprised to see one of the stranger weyrlings there, but shrugged when the purple-haired boy just gave him a stubborn glare and folded his arms to wait for incoming dragons. When one did- a large gold, breathing heavily and landing with a slightly heavier step than normal (or so Kyesk informed him) the boy seemed to perk up, rushing over to pull the four refugees off, stopping only to lift a hand in greeting to the gold's rider before the dragon rose into the air again. ~~~ Shinji spoke calmly to the family, ruffling the boy's hair and acting as soothing and as optimistic as he could manage as he led the family to the main hall. Sakura and Haruko (and of course, Miyuki's Little blue, Hiro) settled on amusing the slightly elder girl, who seemed enthralled by the tiny dragons. ~~~ Kye sighed, and ran a hand along Kyesk's neck. The wher just grunted, but Kye knew what he meant. It was going to be a long night.

Loren...had mixed feelings about this. For one thing, why had they assigned her to, of all places, the infirmary? She knew very basic first aid, but working as an orderly was hardly on the list of things she considered herself qualified for.
Well. She could roll bandages, she supposed. The dark-skinned Candidate had made her way there at an army trot once she knew where she was supposed to be. She stood at an approximation of attention until the patients started arriving. Or somebody told her what to do.
Ivy had chosen to perch on one of the infirmary beds, but she was on the frame and not in the way. Loren decided not to try and move the green for now. She had already come to realize the creature was, oh, not all that smart. Trainable, but NOT very intelligent.

As told by the Weyrleader, Weyrwoman, and Weyrling Master, Lawrence was stuck on greeting duty. He was to welcome the refugees to Rocky, and assess their status, to see what they needed. Then he would point them in the right direction, and they were out of his hair. Great--he was stuck in contact with people who would probably take his scowl the wrong way, and leave him in the dust without a second thought. The weyrling rolled his eyes, and crossed his arms over his chest. The wings left moments before. He didn’t expect any riders to be back, but just in case, he was ready. Hmm... But Lawrence, maybe if you weren't so frustrating all of the time, then you wouldn't have so many problems, the bronze said, his head lowered to hover next to Lawrence. Elonverrilth was sitting crouched out in the rain, his wings spread to cover Lawrence and anyone else that wasn’t about to sit inside the weyr. Lawrence wasn’t keen on company either, and was about to stand outside, by himself, in the rain. You shouldn't try to pick a fight everywhere, you know. Elonverrilth snorted lightly on Lawrence’s face. “Thanks, Elon, but I don’t need you to tell me what to do,” Lawrence calmly snapped back. He hardly looked at the bronze dragon, preferring to keep his narrowed eyes staring to the darkened sky in an effort to spot incoming dragons before the rest. Drawing his arms tighter around himself, Lawrence did his best not to freeze, even with Elonverrilth’s large, webbed wings stopping most of the rain from falling onto the weyrling. He didn’t need his dragon to tell him what he could and couldn’t do. The bronze frowned, as best as his draconic face could frown, and made a little grunt of annoyance. Lawrence! Elonverrilth whined, There's only so much I can do. Please don't make it worse than it should be. Elonverrilth looked hurt at his rider's words, but was content with saying nothing more. It looked as if Lawrence had nothing else to say either. [ooc: If anyone wants to have their character come and stand under Elon's wings, they're welcome to, despite Lawrence's attitude. x3]

[OOC: I am going to assume this storm occurred weeks or months ago before Samarsk's Run and before Reyna's clutch has hatched. Correct me if I'm wrong.]
Samari After Samari heard where she was assigned, she made her way towards the Kitchens. Samarsk had not wanted to get out into the rain and stayed in their room. It was a good thing too since Samari was assigned in the Kitchen/Dining Hall area where Samarsk would have been too big to fit in. As with the others who were also assigned in the Kitchen/Dining Hall, Samari assisted in cooking soup and porridge for the refugees that were rescued.
Orn liking the chaotic hustle and bustle going on about the Weyr, chirped happily as he landed on Samari's head, almost making her stumble as she walked from the Kitchen into the Dining Hall carrying a bit pot of hot soup.
Samari scowled looking up trying to see Orn. "Sharding eggs! Orn! You almost made me drop this pot of soup." Samari shouted at her pesky Orn, who just ignored Samari's shouted reprimand.
Lesla Lesla blinked in confusion as she heard she was to be assigned in the Infirmary. She was a shy person and being assigned to the Infirmary would mean she would have to deal with "strangers". She just hoped that she'd be able to do what she was meant to. She dreaded having to face the incoming refugees. Hopefully, she would only be needed to fetch things and what not for the Healers who Lesla knew were also getting ready their medicines and what not.
Sensing Hers' anxiousness, Houkath sent encouragement to Hers. Over the months, Houkath was now able to say a few words but not a whole lot yet to Hers. You will do fine, Mine. Houkath told Hers. Houkath had opted to stay behind in their weyr since Houkath felt that she would only be a hindrance especially since she couldn't hear anyone talk to her aside from Hers.
Seichou was torn between staying with Houkath or going with His. In the end, Seichou opted to follow His and like Houkath, he was sending his support to His. He was perched on His' right shoulder crooning an encourage to His.
Lesla thanked Houkath and gave Seichou a brief caress as she breathed in and gathered courage. She faced the entrance into the Infirmary waiting for the first injured refugee to be brought in.

Kyesk growled what, to him, was a perfectly polite greeting to the bronze and his human, and huddled up next to the boy in an attempt to keep dry. All his love for hisKye was not enough to keep him standing in the rain. He already thought the slushy mud was bad enough, and he would be perfectly capable relaying his thoughts from here just as well as by Kye's side.
Kye watched the bronze leave, and muttered something about solidarity. All he got back in return was a smug decree that yes, it was in fact nice and dry over here. Kye made a rude gesture at the Wher.
Kyesk glanced up at the bronze with the funny arms, and then to his young bonded. Dragon keep Kyesk dry. Like. Kyesk thank dragon. ~~~
Lorelei was terribly nervous about tyring to function in the infirmary, but she kept reassuring herself that she knew pretty thourough first aid, and that if any one were in dire need of emergency services, that's what the proper doctors were for.
Her flitters were scattered around the room, helping in what little ways they could. Mostly, they were keeping supplies handy to whoever needed them, though Tatsu, the ever-bubbly little green had stopped and was doing all sorts of comedic tumbles for a small child who seemed currently absolutely terrified with all the chaos.
Lorelei breathed in and smiled weakly at the two other girls who she recognized from the meeting earlier. "Here we go?"
