The morning air was crisp and chilly. Dawn had barely arrived, the sun just peaking over the mountains. Green/Gold Isath was out on her ledge, dozing in the weak sunrays. Her hide was glowing a brilliant gold, and should Hers lay a hand upon the glowing hide she would find it to seem feverish. Isath's eyes opened, whirling violently red and she launched herself into the sky with a lustful roar as she called the males of the weyr to chase her. She descended onto the back of a cow with a viscious screech, blooding the bovine as Nakia screamed at her mentally. Isath then moved to another bovine, then a goat before she had had enough. She fanned her wings slightly and roared once more for the males. Who wouldn't Chase a lovely one such as she? Who could deny her gold glowing hide? Nakia had shot up from bed as soon as Isath had first roared. Then a smile graced her heart shaped face as she realized what was happening. Isath was rising. It was that simple. And Nakia couldn't wait for what was to come. When Isath landed at the feeding grounds and attempted to gut the cow, Nakia was a step ahead. Blood only, Isath. You do not want to be heavy with meat for your first flight. Nakia chided the dragon as if she was a mildly misbehaving child.

Y'ume & Brown Firenth It is as it the Fates had conspired to make their arrival on Earth a very memorable one. No sooner had Y'ume and Firenth popped into existence from Between, they both heard and saw the green that was clearly ready to rise to mate. The pair landed in the weyrbowl and Y'ume quickly divested Firenth of his flying gear. Y'ume left his things on the weyrbowl since he was too occupied with Firenth lusting after the green.
As soon as His had taken off the encumbering gear, Firenth was off winging his way towards the feeding grounds leaving His to follow on foot. He spied a creature that looked like a herdbeast and quickly made his kill. Having participated in a number of flights, Firenth has become proficient enough to only blood his kill without being told not to eat the meat.
Y'ume ran to where he remembered the Feeding Grounds was, he looked about trying to locate the rider of the green but could not find anyone save Firenth who was blooding his second kill. Y'ume briefly wondered if maybe there's a different place where the rider would be waiting/staying for the duration of the flight. But, since Y'ume is somewhat new to the weyr, he had no idea how to get from one place to the next. At least, not without proper directions from someone who knew the way.
Firenth blooded another creature that resembled a herdbeast. After he was done blooding the carcass, he eyed the green and liked the odd golden-flecks on her hide. His lust evident for the green, his eyes were a swirl of red colors. He did roar to let her and anyone else know that he would be answering her call.

Lyrah and Kyrinth Kyrinth had only recenly matured. No dragon had Risen since that time, but he eagerly awaited the day when it would happen. That would be the final thing that said he was as good as any of the other dragons of Pern. So, when the GreenGold Rose, it was perfect. Kind of. He couldn't hardly see, so how would he Chase? Hehad to see to Chase. He had to Chase if he wanted to be an actual dragon. Even if he already was an actual dragon. He had to Chase. But how....He had it. That completely blind bblue had Chased, hadn't he? With a firelizard being his eyes. he'd adopt that method for the time being. The little white that was His rider's flit came from between moments after he called to it. With a growl he filled Snowfire in and took off. Snowfire fought to keep up with him, finally latching onto his skull, wedged between his headknobs. He arrived within seconds, blooding a total of three cows, a feat that was not easy fo him. He was, actually, rather hungry. It felt lke a crime to himself at least not to eat the meat he left behind. But he knew that he couldn't if he was to Chace Isath. He paid no attention to the other brown that was blooding his kills, but instead focused all of his piercing thoughts, all of his thrumming power, at the dragon that was Rising. Beautiful Isath, I may not be able to see, but I see you as clearly as if you were the noon day sun![/color] Lyrah gasped as she felt the wave of lust from Kyrinth. She, at first, did not understand, did not grasp what was going on until she caught the pattern of his thoughts. A green was Rising? No, a gold....A GreenGold mix! Ah that would be a feat indeed to Catch. But how....Snowfire. Of course. She remembered the blue. Love, be careful! You know what happened to him! But she could not pierce his determination. She gave up and did as something - something else - was willing her to do. Find Isath's rider. Find her. And find her she would do. She half ran, half stumbled in the direction she knew the rider was in. She wanted her as badly as Kyrinth wated Isath.... Shards, is this what its like?!

Since his own Flight weeks back, Brynath had not participated in Chases after the females. Nothing wrong with any of them, but he felt tired--resting, waiting for the best moment to come around. The morning sun rose in the east, bathing the mountains of Rocky Weyr in it’s orange glow. While the orb of light rose from it’s hiding place, a certain female took her spot in the sky. The blue dragon had his eye on that beauty, since her hide began to glow, and needless to say, he was going to Chase. That much was certain. Brynath growled, flexing his talons as he waited on his perch above the weyr bowl. A particular rider had been up all night with an uneasy insomnia.
Now, he was tired and walking on unsteady legs. Yawning widely, his mouth like a giant trap, Hy’ka clasped a hand over his open maw. “Aaah” was all the rider managed to get out before a wave of a now familiar feeling washed over him. “Not again...” he murmured, rolling his eyes and running his hand through his thick hair. “The consequences of having a male dragon... Or male and female,” he dully noted, sighing heavily. He was not in the mood for this, definitely not. But the lustful energy that flowed over from the blue dragon was enough to send him reeling. Alright, alright!
Isath is Rising, Hy'ka. I am going to Chase. The blue wasn’t going to take no for an answer, of course, and was his rider going to stop the large dragon anyway? Brynath lifted his wings and stood, spreading his wings to make himself appear larger. Isath! he cried, adding a roar to his call. Pushing off of the ledge, the blue was in the air and speeding down to the feeding grounds in a matter of minutes. He saw his two opponents there already, blooding and ready for the Chase. Behind already, Brynath growled. He landed on a cow with little remorse, hardly touching the ground in his haste.
Where’s Nakia? That’s her name, right? Where is sh--aaaugh--Brynath! Hy’ka moaned, doubling over and gasping. Yes... There was a need--he needed the other rider. He wanted to lust after her. He would chase after her. Like a moth to a flame, Hy’ka slipped out of his weyr and heading down the hallway. He didn’t even know the girl, but determined as he was, that wasn’t going to keep him from her. It was her dragon that was Rising, and with Brynath Chasing, he wasn’t going to give up this perfectly good chance. She was the one with the green-gold, right? Oh even better, a gold for Brynath to Chase. Don’t hold back, Brynath, because I’d love to win this one, Hy’ka chuckled, rubbing his tired eyes. Not even lack of sleep would put him down.
Blooding the cow with little difficulty, Brynath was back in the air and herding down another beast, a goat this time, performing this odd skipping maneuver with his hind legs to propel himself forward. He tackled the bleating goat with a malice that could only come from a mating-crazed dragon with his heart set on winning this Flight. Out the corner of his raging red eyes, Brynath saw and sized up his competitors. A new brown that he had not seen before, and the half-blind Kyrinth. No challenge for the more agile blue, not at all. The glowing green form of Isath was only dragonlengths away. He could reach out and sidle up to her, nuzzling her warm hide gently. But first, he would have to deal with the other suitors.
Finishing off the second prey, the young blue kicked aside the lifeless carcass. His whole body tensed up, ready and waiting for the signal in which Isath would Rise, take the air, and be bathed in the glorious light of the dawn. In Brynath’s lust-controlled state, he just barely noticed the flecks of gold across the green’s hide. Hy’ka’s thoughts confirmed it--like Brynath, Isath was a mix of two colors. A green and a gold. He would have his work cut out for him, for sure.

Isath looked around at her suitors. Two browns and a blue...? Wait. Isath took in a long draft of air. A blue-green? A mix of colors like herself? She shook her head. Didn't matter, the blue-green would still have to prove himself to her. She spread her wings to their fullest, showing off for her males. Then she rocketed herself into the sky, roaring back to them to follow her. As she leveled out above their heads she did a few twists and turns, reveling in the feel of the cool morning air on her heated hide. Isath wondered which male would follow; which would be the most daring? Nakia opened her door, looking out and waiting for the riders that were surely on their way. That first brown... He was new to Rocky, if she wasn't mistaken... So, would the brown's rider know where she was? Oh well, Nakia thought to herself. Didn't matter at the moment. Isath was heading indirectly towards town. Why hide herself from those that should gawk at her magnificance? She saw no reason to, but took an indirect route either way. Her golden glow was second to none. Not even the rising sun shining upon her.

S'tor did not want to be here.
S'tor wanted to be anywhere but here. But with a queen inhibiting Ryath, he had had no choice but to make this odd trip Between. That had been maybe an hour ago.
He had been avoiding the woman who called herself Weyrwoman of Rocky. Sure, he was supposed to report to her, but how could a white rider be Weyrwoman? Did they have no golds here? Besides, he did not want to wake the woman...by some accident of timing, they had arrived so early they had been challenged by a wher.
There were plenty of firelizards...enough that he could probably get his hands on an egg, and hope it turned out to be a queen. There were odd buildings in what passed for the bowl here. These Terrans...well, of course they built oddly. They did not have Thread here, their traditions were not shaped by it.
Inferior, no doubt, but that was not his concern. He had just managed to find the...courage was the wrong word...to track down this Faizah woman and ask her which of the empty weyrs or rooms he and Ryath could have when his vision seemed to swirl purple.
Shards, dragon, we just got here!
Ryath's only response was to send his rider an image of an unusual female dragon...a mutant, of course. She seemed to be a mixture of gold and green.
S'tor let out a breath. You did not stop a dragon from chasing...although this would be Ryath's first. As long as there was no firestone...he might set fire to a suitor to impress the female if there was, the crazy beast. And a chimera of green-gold could be fertile. He did not want Ryath to chase, but he could not bring himself to stop him.
I chase Ryath insisted, launching into the air.
Well. He likely wouldn't catch, not when he had never chased before and not when the air currents and the mountains were unfamiliar. Then the lust washed over S'tor again. He had to find that green-gold beauty's rider.
Hopefully it would be a woman.
Ryath refused to hear any of his rider's concerns. Eyes shaded violet, he dived to the feeding grounds, bringing down a cow that was fleeing from the female.
Blood it. He knew to blood it. This dragon was...was she a queen or not? His instincts were confused on the matter, but dominated by the desire, the need, to chase and claim this female for his own.
He only wished he could get hold of some firestone...

Y'ume and Brown Firenth Firenth looked appreciatively as the magnificent green-gold female spread her wings for all the males to see. If a dragon could have whistled, Firenth would be doing so now. At it was, he just crooned in pleasure at what he saw, as the Goddess of Beauty embodied in the lovely green-gold female that his eyes beheld.
To His, he said I know not her name yet, but is she not the most beautiful dragon you have seen? as he launched himself skyward after the golden glowing hide of the female. To the female, Firenth said, Goddess of Beauty, I am new come to this Weyr. So, please forgive me, if I should know not thy wonderful name. as he managed to fly closer to the lovely green-gold mix his eyes still swirling the red of lust but with a bit of purple for love as well. Firenth was already half-in-love with the female and he didn't even know her name yet nor has he Caught her and won the Chase.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Y'ume was now sure that the rider must be somewhere else. So, turning around, he espied a tunnel into the weyr and proceeded to walk in it. He hoped that he would be able to find someone who knew where he could find the rider or he was not sure what he would do. Already Firenth's lust for the female was overshadowing his actions and Y'ume was fighting to stay in control before he attacked an innocent bystander with his mating lust, that Firenth was projecting towards him.

Kyrinth roared hollowly as Isath launched herslef into the air. The full use of his eyes were trained on her. She was a green and gold colored blur surrounded by nothing. Thoght the thing on his head, he saw what she was, and what was around her, and what she did. With this, he followed her. He followed, and did not look below to see where they were. He followerd, and did not look to see where they were headed.
His wings pumped strongly through the air, strugling to keep up with her as she flew ahead of him. He was only a little aware of the two browns and the BlueGreen that flew alongside him, vying for her attention; hoping that she would deem right to choose them. He swooped down slightly, gaining a little speed before he zoomed back up flying higher now than the others.

The lovely green-gold now took the air in a display that sent Brynath's mind into a frenzy. She showed off her beautiful hide with a flare of her wings, the sunlight dancing over the shades of green and gold. He took off, on the tail of the two browns before him, the newcomer and the half-blind one, and Brynath wasn't going to let up. From behind, a third brown came to try his luck. Brynath screeched his frustration at the browns. Was he the only blue that dared to Chase the green? As lust-blinded willpower took over the blue's body, Brynath pushed his wings to draw him out of the crowd. If he was going to impress the female, he couldn't be lumped together with the others.
Huffing, Hy'ka staggered through the hallways. The Flight only just started, and he was burning up. Brynath was dead-set on winning this one, wasn't he? Was the fact that the other dragon was also an odd mix of colors? Or did he feel a certain attraction for the female? Ooo, Brynath, are you in love? he poked fun at the blue, though he knew very well that dragons were guided by their lust in a Flight. Nakia... Where was that girl? A pang of hurt tugged at Hy'ka's chest. H'vas--he was betraying the greenrider... No! Hy'ka knew this was going to happen. Brynath was bound to Chase any female that he wanted. H'vas would have to do without him.
He cupped his wings, Brynath did, and drifted away from the rest of the suitors. The third brown, he didn't know either. Another newcomer. What were the chances? Would Brynath allow the new males to win the affection of a female that they just met? Hardly! The blue bellowed out a challenge to the browns, attempting to fool them into thinking he was the fittest dragon, and had the advantage. If he could force just one male out of the Flight, his chances would go up. Not to mention he wanted to draw the attention of Isath, who was now headed in a direction she probably shouldn't be going.
Did he care? Despite all the warnings and threats to stay put, Brynath was following the green-gold to the ends of the planet, for as long as his wings would hold his weight; he would Chase until they gave out and snapped under his girth. Isath was not just another green, she was a mix like himself. Was he going to allow just another, simple, male have her?

Isath noticed a third brown join her suitors. He was a handsome brown, but at the moment it was irrelevat. She wanted to know which male would put the most on the line to win her. She noticed the bluegreen break away from the browns. So, he wanted to catch her attention. Isath knew now to keep an eye on him. You each choose to chase? Then show me what you will do to win!She broadcast to the males. She wanted the boldest, most daring of the bunch. Even if she had to fly to the end of the skies just to prve which male was best, she would do it.

Y'ume and Brown Firenth 'You each choose to chase? Then show me what you will do to win!'
When Firenth heard the heavenly voice of the female, he all but purred in appreciation. Her voice sounded sweet and he flew after her unworried about being seen since he didn't know that the Weyr was currently on lockdown nor about the fact that dragons were not supposed to be seen by the general public. After all, Firenth came from a world where dragons were held in awe and respect as the only thing that kept Pern safe from the menace of Thread.
At her suggestion to prove themselves to her, Firenth looked at the others to gain some perspective on his competitors. Two others were Browns and a strange Blue-Green mix. However, one of the Browns had a flit on his head and Firenth had to wonder about that. In one glance, Firenth surmised that the others were all younger than him. They would probably beat him through sheer stamina, but his years gave him more experience that they have. Now how was he to leave the lovely Green-Gold a mighty impression as to be able to win her even though he may be new to the Weyr?
As Firenth contemplated, he let his body instinctively fly for him, somersaulting in the air in loops and twists, like some flit, going high up in the air, and then coming back down with a whoosh. Before he knew it, he was already giving them an aerial display of his flying abilities and, he wasn't even actively thinking about doing it for he was deep in thought of what he should do to impress the Green-Gold beauty.
Meanwhile, down on the ground, Y'ume was weaving this way and that following the loops and twists that Firenth was doing high up in the air. He was still himself enough to realize that he really needed to find the rider soon or he was lost. It was pure luck and happenstance that someone, Y'ume wasn't sure who, somehow knew what was happening to him and he was lead to a certain weyr.
As Y'ume went inside, he finally laid eyes on the rider. She was a blonde beauty with gorgeous green eyes and rather very young as well. Y'ume had a few scruples with bedding children but if she was the rider, Y'ume assumed that she must no longer be a maiden. Back in Pern, the dragonrider women were always encouraged to lose their virginity well before their dragon's first mating flight occurred. Y'ume gave her a charming smile as he came near her, enough to get a scent of her. She smelled nice was all Y'ume could think as he was once more and finally fully merged with Firenth.
Back up in the air, Firenth easily weaved in and out of the group and closely brushing by the Green-Gold female as if he was giving her a loving caress each time he passed by. If he was of a mind, he could have forced himself on her, but he wasn't so lost in mating lust that he would do such a thing. He was gentleman enough to let the lady do her picking of the suitors that vied for her favor. He just hoped he was doing the right thing by letting her choose.
Coming out of contemplation, Firenth called out to the gorgeous beauty, And what is it that you would have me do to win your heart, My Goddess? as he once more flew after the Green-Gold female, his breath a bit labored, but his strength and stamina was still intact if a bit diminished because of his instinctive aerial display of his flying abilities.

Ryath was not a fancy male. He was a brown...and other than his problem, his desire to burn, he was actually not atypical of his color.
He was not about to do tricks to impress this female, but he would show her his solid strength, the broad vanes of his wings. The most he ventured was to roll once, slowly, so that she might see him from other angles. Observe what a fine, strong male he was, who would make a fine mate.
S'tor was glad at some levels that the rider of the strange dragon was female...he was more tolerant of females on green than on male dragons, if only for the selfish reason that they made flights more pleasant. And if the dragon was, somehow, half gold, then of course she would choose a woman.
A good looking woman, too, although he did not know how much of that was the purple shadow of Ryath's lust flowing through him. He was only able to hold himself apart from it at intervals, it flowed over him in waves and as it peaked all he could think about was his desire to tear off Nakia's clothes and have her then and there. If he won, she would be willing, and likely a wanton bedmate.
And as likely to throw him out of her weyr the next morning as anything, but that did not matter. Well, it already was morning, and this was, at least, an excuse to avoid the so-called Weyrwoman, and then the lust came over him again. He was one with his dragon, the brown wings beating against the air.
Pace yourself, he told Ryath. Don't throw away too much energy just yet. The gold in the chimera would likely make this longer than a greenflight and his brown had only made one previous attempt to chase...at which he had failed.
Young dragons failed a lot. It was the way of things, and if Ryath lost, S'tor would find some woman who felt like a bit of fun...but then there was only the wings and a world turned violet.

Kyrinth didn't know what it was that the mixed dragon wanted from him. A part of him wanted to do whatever Isath wanted him to do, but another part of him, the part that was still linked to Lyrah's mind, the part that was probably much smarter and more logical, told him that he was doing enough. He was mostly blind and he was Chasing her. He did his best, his most, by all standards.
Lyrah stumbled on, her own lust rising. Lust for the rider of Isath, who, of all things, was female. Female. Gross. Love, why can't you chase a male ridden green? Kyrinth didn't bother answering. She knew the answer to her own question. He couldn't. Not to Isath, she who was a mix between green and gold. This was his chance. And he was taking it.
With a furious growl, he once again lunged forward and upward. He ignored the other mix, the one he remembered as Brynath, Hy'ka's dragon. They were weyrlings like him and His. Who were the other two? They must be new here. But that hardly mattered. They were rivals. They were fully capable of doing the spins and turns that he could not do. They were going against him. This was his Chase to win!
He went farther up, a steep, quick climb. He had an idea that, if he did it wrong or stopped a moment to late, he would probably die a very painful death on the trees and mountains below him. Lyrah saw what he was planning and stopped short, screaming through their mental link at him to stop. Snowfire screamed himself, ready to disentach himself. Then Kyrinth dropped.
Kyrinth had folded his wings almost completely, aiming himself directly downward and toward the BlueGreen and from there to the other browns that twisted and curved this way and that. Using his wings and tail to aim, he whizzed past Brynath, and suddenly banked, spreading his wings in a moment and having the updraft he ha found pull him level again.
Stupid firelizards. Where snowfire had gripped with his claws, a steady stream of hot blood oozed from deep scratches. At least the thing had had the wisdom to stay.

You each choose to chase? Then show me what you will do to win!
Purring, a low croon to the female, Brynath flapped his wings twice, and glided along. Isath's sideways glance told him that he caught her attention, and certainly she was going to keep an eye on him now. But now she demanded a spectacle of the suitors, proving that they were worthy of her. As Brynath used his limited memory to search for an appropriate display, the new brown launched into action, his brazen wings carrying him forward and dictating each turn of his body, completing a series of intricate loops and twists to show off his agility to Isath.
The image frightened Brynath; a deep-rooted fear that a brown would steal his female. Browns were known to Chase golds, after all, though they hardly won... And a green-gold was no exception. The blue stuck his nose in the air in dismissal of the brown, of all three browns. The other strange male was not as acrobatically inclined, resorting to a presentation of his brute strength, flying firmly before the female in silence. Brynath couldn't do that. He was a blue, and naturally graceful. Stocky build wasn't him, and neither was physical strength.
Hy'ka's slow pace brought him to the weyr of Nakia long after the other riders had mindlessly arrived. He noticed Lyrah first, the brownrider that he knew, then Nakia, rider of Isath. Never meeting the girl personally wasn't a problem for Hy'ka, but he had to wonder. She was only a few years younger than him, wasn't she? And this was her first Flight--the poor thing, getting roughed up by the older and more experienced riders of the weyr. She had to know this was coming, especially with a green. Hy'ka's mind was a swirling mix of multiple thoughts, none of which included concern for the girl's safety.
As the lone blue of the suitors, Brynath felt a particular desire to stand out and proudly represent his own color. The browns had nothing on him! Kyrinth seemed content with a parade of strength as well, complete with a white firelizard clinging to his head. The opposing male drove himself upwards, high above the others, only to dive, heading directly towards the group. Brynath noticed the motion out of the corner of his red-churning eyes, and growled at the challenge. Heading for him, as if trying to scare him off? Did he think that was going to work? With a raspy snarl, Brynath tore through the bond between him and His, intent on using Hy'ka's own strength, via the mental link.
The bluerider let out a deep sigh, trying to collect himself. Only now taking note of the two other riders nearby. They must be the bonded of the new browns that Brynath briefly mentioned. Putting them aside, Hy'ka had to be calm, and not impulsive. He couldn't jump forward and claim Nakia; that was not the way a Flight went. He had to control and hold back his lustful urges as best as he--Hy'ka froze, Brynath working the edges of the bond to bring the pair closer than ever before. Eyes wide and pupils shrinking to near pin-pricks, Hy'ka froze mid-breath, spacing out and seeing the Flight from his dragon's perspective.
Feeling his rider's mind conjoining with his own, Brynath whispered into both their minds, ... Hy'ka... A low call, reassuring the rider that he knew what he was doing. Emotions rolled around between the link; Hy'ka's want of Nakia and slight regret that Cherath wasn't Rising spilled over the edges into the blue's mind, while Brynath's crazy lust-filled desire to be with Isath sunk into Hy'ka's brain. The two becoming one, and Brynath surged into action. He growled at Kyrinth for coming so close to him, and beat his wings a number of times to pull forward.
Isath wanted a display, then Brynath was ready to give her one. He became lost in his desire, letting his instinct take over for him. Ahead, Brynath quickly closed his wings, diving down like a bird. He snapped them open again, at the last second, just before hitting the trees below, and darted back upwards, propelled along by momentum. The slightest twitch of his wings, and Brynath was careening up in a cork-screw fashion, spinning around and showing off his own body to the female.
Timing his turns to the second, Brynath unfurled his wings at the right moment to spread his blue-green wings in stark contrast to the brown and dull hide of the other males. He flaunted his odd coloring as he hung in the air for a moment, his back to Isath, before leaning back, and falling. The whole while, back to the female, and twisting, turning, somersaulting over the green-gold in a daring maneuver. Isath and the other males flying through the center of his loop, and Brynath righting himself as he completed the half-circle, only to draw up close to Isath again, as close as he dared, purring gently.

Nakia smiled seductively as she saw the riders appear. Two were men she didnt know, one was a woman she couldnt name but had seen around and the fourth was the male rider of a fellow chimera dragon. She almost laughed as she saw his expression of pity as the bluegreen rider glanced at his competition. Either he was very confident in his dragon, or he pitied the thought of her and flightlust.
Nakia enjoyed this. She was comfortable with the flightlust that she felt, and she couldnt wait for Isath to choose. The day would be interesting and satisfying.
Isath watched with interest as her suitors performed to impress her. Even the blind brown was impressive. But they hadnt proven themselves yet. She wanted more from them. Not just fancy turns and brute strength.
She turned slightly on a wingtip, now heading directly towards town. The wind was against them, and with the additional work her delicate wings began to tire. Isath did not care. She wanted the town, and all its pathetic and dragonless people, to see her magnificance. She wouldnt choose the winner until they were above the town...

Which half of the riders here knew was likely to be a bad thing...the sight of the dragons mating, the 'noise' such an event tended to give off.
S'tor...did not care. Dragonflights going over Holds was, well, half of the fun of it, in his mind, and besides, he was entirely linked with Ryath at this point. Connected to him.
Brown wings beating onwards, beyond the rim of the Weyr, following her route almost exactly. Such a special, attractive female, unlike any he had ever seen before. He did not know how she was the way she was, nor did he care. He knew only her attractive form and the pheremones of her heat, flowing over his body and mind. The scent of her.
Even if he did not catch, even the chase brought with it something, the feel of the wind over his wings was not like it was at any other time. The connection with S'tor, more than it ever was, the man and the dragon one. Just as they were meant to be, and the air was against them, but that was part of the test. His wings carried him onwards, ever after...and closer to her.
Closer to the prize.

Y'ume and Brown Firenth As soon as the others were done trying to Impress the lovely Green-Gold Goddess, Y'ume/Firenth watched her turn and headed towards the Hold nearby. At least, deep in Y'ume's subconscious mind, the place looked like a sort of Hold but Y'ume was unfamiliar with the structures that his dragon's eyes saw down below. However, that did not deter the Brown from confidently flying after the lady. Wherever she chose to fly, Firenth was sure to follow, as her pheromone scent induced lust and a bit of irrational thinking with regards to Y'ume's/Firenth's logical reasoning powers.
Y'ume/Firenth pumped his wings mightily to fly right behind the Green-Gold Beauty. As he flew, he noticed the other Brown that was getting closer to him which meant the other Brown was getting closer to the female. Y'ume/Firenth then positioned himself between the female and the other Brown. The other Brown who had a flit on his head, was not much of a concern in Y'ume/Firenth's lust-filled mind. The Blue-Green however might prove more harder to deter for the blue was smaller and probably more agile than Y'ume/Firenth. Still, Y'ume/Firenth would intercept the blue and do what it took to make sure that no other would be able to come nearer the female except for himself. He gave a mighty roar to give voice to his determination as his swirling red eyes darted here and there looking for his rival suitors of the entrancing Green-Gold female.
Back on the ground, Y'ume was now circling around the young female rider as he looked menacingly at the others. His mind fully merged with Firenth, he growled and hissed at those that dared to come near his female. Sometimes even trying to swipe at them with his fingers curled like claws. He was not about to let anyone come near him or his even if he had to fight off anyone who dared to come near them. He was prepared to die for her if need be.

Eyes distant and heart racing, Hy'ka struggled to breath, short, ragged gasps for air gulping in through his mouth. The bond between dragon and rider was unlike he had ever experienced before. His sight flickered between Brynath's view, and his own, blurred view of the scene before him. What was going on...? Who was moving? Where was Nakia? Did she leave? No, Isath didn't Choose yet. Brynath would have let Hy'ka know...
Not ready to give up the female so easily, Brynath narrowed his eyes, staring after Isath. The green-gold adjusted her flight path, and the blue was forced to turn as well, to keep up with her. Hanging out just below the Rising dragon, Brynath continued to croon to her. Was he not drawing her attention? Didn't he impress he with his display of aerial acrobatics? What more did she want? The part of the dragon's mind where Hy'ka lingered told him that the female was heading towards town.
So she wanted to play over the town, and show off, despite the weyr's need to be hidden? Two could play at that game! Brynath steeled himself for his next move, his tired wings grasping at straws as they tried to keep carrying the blue dragon through the air. As adrenaline gave the dragon one last burst of strength, Brynath pressed his wings faster, ducking under Isath and rolling to her other side. He started to rise out from under the other dragon, flaring out his wings further, when a roar stopped him.
From one of the browns, a challenging roar came. Brynath took this as a personal insult and drifted to the side, turning slightly to get a better look at the offending brown. Baring his teeth, Brynath growled back, eyes swirling an alarming red-orange. He flexed his claws, hanging just below his body, and did his best to show he was not a dragon to be trifled with by stretching his wings to their furthest extent.
One with the mind of a dragon, Hy'ka's own lips curled upwards, and he pinpointed the rider of the brown, identifying him as the male that was circling Nakia in a protective manner. So both rider and dragon were in on the deal, preventing the other pairs from approaching. That wasn't very nice. "Rider..." Hy'ka whispered, his voice raspy and hollow as his mind was no longer present with the others on the ground. He hunched over, tense and as ready as he would ever be for whatever might break out.
Emotions influencing both sides of the bond, Brynath too took a more protective turn. His body tensed, shaking rapidly as his muscles threatened to give up the chase. The blue was not done yet, and he challenged the brown back with a roar of his own. He confidently drifted closer to the female, making it a point to show his defiance to the brown. Yes, he was getting as close as he dared to the green-gold, and yes, he was on a warpath to win.

They had reached the town, and Isath was ready to choose. Her wings felt on fire from fatigue, but she pushed them further. She began to climb.
Higher... Higher...
Isath could climb no further. She circled around the forms of her suitors as they climbed to follow her. Each of them had chased valiantly, but only one had proven himself in her eyes. He was the one that she would choose.
She flipped over herself and began to fall as she called out to her winner.
Brynath! Come claim your prize!

The buildings of the town below started to peek over the horizon as the dragons flew closer and closer. Anticipation built up in Brynath’s chest, threatening to suffocate the dragon as he lusted after the green-gold. Nearing the town, Brynath no longer had a care in the world as to what would happen to Rocky if the residents caught sight of the flying dragons. One thing, and one thing only matter to him--Isath.
Determination and a strong resolve fortified itself in the blue's mind, and he turned to follow the female as she climbed into the sky. The brown was still on his list though, and Brynath kept a wary eye on him as he urged his wings to carry himself higher into the sky. She would choose soon, and the blue wasn't going to give up the chance if he had any control over his own wings. And there it was; Isath turned and started to fall, losing the battle against gravity.
Brynath! Come claim your prize!
Trilling happily at the result of the Flight, Brynath made a U-turn with a fancy twirl and dropped as well, red-blue eyes concentrating on Isath. He reached out with his claws, interlocking them with hers, and pulling the female close. He purred and tangled his wings with hers, entwining his neck and his tail as the pair fell from the sky. As one last effort, Brynath eased his grip on Hy'ka's mind, allowing the rider the freedom to control his own body again.
Letting out a loud gasp, Hy'ka staggered backwards, momentarily dazed from the sudden break in the bond. Wha...? No, wait, Brynath won. Isath claimed Brynath, and now Hy'ka was free to claim his own prize. With a defiant look at the brownrider, the bluerider slipped past him to wrap his arm around Nakia's shoulders, gently pulling her away from the public eye and into the privacy of her weyr.
