Hikari jumped from her perch, onto the form of an unsuspecting duck, quickly blooding it. She had woken with swirling red eyes and a glowing green hide. She knew to blood her kill and then take to the skies.
And she did just that. Taking to the skies, she trilled to the males. Come! Chase! She seemed to call.
As Hikari waited she leveled out, attempting to save energy. The sky was the rosy colors of dusk, the air holding a sight chill.

Brown Seichou Seichou had heard the call of a rising female and disappeared between only to reappear near the feeding grounds. He spotted a chicken and quickly blooded his kill. Having already eaten earlier that day, Seichou didn't need to blood more chickens. He left the flesh of the chicken behind as he launched himself into the sky, his wings pumping mightily to catch up to the Lovely Green Hikari who was already high up in the air waiting for the males that would chase her in her flight.
Seichou, his eyes swirling red evidence of mating lust taking hold of his senses bugled his decision to chase after Hikari. Whether he will actually win or not was all up to fate, but ultimately, it is Hikari's choice of who she wants to catch her. He was somewhat glad that he seemed to be the first to answer her call and idly wondered if any others would take up the challenge. So, for the moment, he flew as near the green as he could, trilling and crooning at Hikari to impress himself upon her. Still, he kept his eyes about him wondering which males would decide to participate in Hikari's flight.

Blue Euclid
Suddenly woken from his nap on his fuzzy best friend, Euclid's eyes swirled with confusion, then interest. Though he was still muzzy-headed from sleeping all day, the tantalizing call of a green rising was enough to clear away all the cobwebs, even those brought on by his feasting on Sasha's sandwich remnants an hour or so ago, after his light meal of a few field mice.
Euclid screeched happily, and leaped into the air, using his friend as a springboard. The malamute just snorted and rolled back over, ignoring the flighty blue. The dog was far more interested in when his master was going to be back from dinner, and if he'd be bringing treats.
So Euclid was left to speed across the dimly-lit sky on his own, the pale star on his forehead catching the light that was left. There she was- he dove again, following the beautiful green's path like a falling star only to fall into line with the larger brown. Euclid made no move to do anything but regard Seichouu for a moment, then squeak a greeting and focus his attention back on Hikari.

Hikari trilled her pleasure as she was joined by her suitors. The brown crooned to her while the blue had just arrived.
Hikari banked gently to the side, then shot ahead of the males. She was going to show them her agility, and see how her suitors could keep up with her. While she was ahead of the brown and blue she turned on a dime, twirling about before continueing forward.

Brown Seichou Seichou acknowledged the new arrival of Blue Euclid but otherwise gave the other male room to join the chase. He believed in fair play so he wasn't about to stop anyone from joining the chase if they wanted to.
After acknowledging the presence of Euclid, Seichou once more focused his attention on the Lovely Green. He watched her gently bank to the side and was startled to see her shoot ahead of them. He gave a squeak of surprise when Hikari had flown speedily ahead. He saw her turn and twirl giving him and his rival a show of her agility and maneuverability.
He trilled at her aerial display and pumping his wings gained speed and managed to get ahead of the blue. And as he sped up, he banked to the side and did twirls and turns much like Hikari had done. Letting her know that anything she could do, he could do as well.
And yet he wasn't done with his display for when he had caught up with Hikari, he did some twirls and turns with Hikari in the center as he crooned a love song to her. He was so close to Hikari when he did the twirls and turns that he could have twinned his neck with Hikari's and she would have been none the wiser. But being a flit who believed in fair play, after he had done his bit of aerial display with Hikari, he positioned himself just a wing beat behind Hikari on her right side.

((So we don't have unfinished flights hanging about, Hikari is choosing now. Sorry to any suitors who didn't get the chance to post recently.))
Hikari was tiring, her wings burning as the light from the setting sun began to dim considerably. Her suitors were wonderful, but she had to choose at that moment. And choose she did.
Hikari tilted herself until she was flying slightly to the side and underneath brown Seichou. She trilled to him as she folded her wings in and began to fall.

Brown Seichou Seichou was surprised when after a few seconds passed, Hikari flew to position herself beneath him. In some corner of his mind, he felt bad that Euclid didn't have a chance to prove himself to Hikari. However, as Hikari folded her wings and began to fall, Seichou trilled back and was quick to entwine himself around Hikari's sleek green hide and pumped his wings to gain more height.
When Seichou felt they were in a sufficient height, he folded his wings around Hikari and they mated as they fell to the ground. Before they could reach the ground, Seichou once more opened his wings and safely glided both of them to land on a nearby boulder.
((OOC: YaY! Seichou finally won in a flit mating flight. *does the Dance of Joy* ^_^))
