Name: Samira (Sam for short)
Age: 23
Gender: female
Sexual Orientation: bisexual, though leans toward men more then women
Appearance:
Samira is a rather cute girl; not pretty, not beautiful, but only cute. She is rather short, shorter than most others, not even reaching a height of five feet tall. Instead, she is the astounding height of four feet, ten and a half inches. She is slim and willowy, with a nearly flat chest and graceful curves.
Her face is a thin, curved oval-like shape, sporting white winged eyebrowes above bright, hazel green eyes, and underneath them are rounded cheek bones.
Her hair is often let down, allowing it to situate itself in a flyaway style. When its like this, she has two very, very thin braid that start in the center of her forhead and travel downward across her hairline, holding her straight locks away from her face. Its color is a silvery white blonde color. the rest of it pools around her shoulders, falling maybe one or two inches past that, but no longer. If it reaches that much farther, she will either ask a friend to cut it or she'll take a knife to it herself. Usually, she doesn't do that bad when she does it. Usually. There has been times when she's completely butchered her hair, and had to go to others to fix it, usually by cutting far shorter than most would; short enough to that it might be seen as a boy's cut.
Her skin is olive, slightly tanned from her escapades outside.
Her fingernails are chewed to the quick, the result of many years habit.
She truly enjoys the strange seeming fashions of Earth, and has fun expirementing with them. She has, actually, learned to use their "make-up," "nail polish," walk in their "stilettos" and "high heels," and how to match different styles of clothes.
Picture:
History: Her mother and father were young when Tamuna learned she was with child. With her mother only seventeen and her father just two years older, they weren't really ready, not only that, but they weren't weyrfolk, who just take mates. They lived in the Telgar Hold. They were unmarried. They married as soon as possible when they learned of their unborn child, but that didn't stop the news from leaking out. Being the way they were, they ignored the taunts and jeers that were aimed toward them and went on living as they had, just a little closer than usual.
Bad luck founds its way into their small family though, striking most horribly at the pregnant Tamuna. She became very sick several months into her pregnacy, and Sennia was born early, small and sickly. Several hours after she first entered the world of Pern, her mother exited. She was small, sickly, and weak for those first few weeks, and she was not thought to live long enough to see her first month pass. But soon she gained the strength she needed to live and prove them wrong. She was always smaller than all the other children, but had a way of finding trouble.
At first her tiny whisps of hair had been a dark brown color, just like most of those on Pern, just like her mother's hair, but under the pressure of sickness and premature birth, it quickly turned white and silvery, as if she was very old. ((This is possible; I looked it up.)) Her eyes are just like her father's father, and her delicate shaping is like her mother's mother and sisters (it had skipped her mother in favor of her father's form) but other than that most of her features come from her father. She had inheritted a rather beautiful soprano voice from distant Harper relations, though had an uncanny gift with cloths, so she became a weaver apprentice when she was old enough, though not after much pleading to her father on her part.
Finally, her father gave into his little girl's wishes. She would be a Weaver, but she had to promise to come visit as often as possible. She happily agreed to those terms. However, it seemed as if he was rather lonely, for when only several months passed, her father met and married a woman that she had seen and met only fleetingly. She was pretty enough, she supposed, but when one tried so hard to be a mother to one who was not their child, if was both unnerving and annoying. She started to spend as much time in her studies as possible, making any excuse to not go visit her father and stepmother.
She quickly recieved word of when her little sister, Kiolie, was born when she was twelve. That was one time she hurried over, wondering what she would look like. And there she was, a little baby tugging on her father's attempt to grow a beard. When she walked into the crowded room, Jaimon beamed at her, and motioned for her to sit in an empty chair, where he gently deposited his youngest daughter into her arms. She has always loved little Kiolie, and gotten along just well with her. Kiolie still ahsn't reached Sam's height, which is both a blessing and a curse for her, as it is widely believed she will gain her father's height of five foot seven inches at least.
She continued to study, but it was interupted when she was 17 and was Searched, and she Impressed the beautiful Xenith at the third Hatching she stood at when she was 20. Xenith is so pale, she might have been mistaken for white if she had not been hatched from a Queen Egg.
Her training commenced immediately.
Half way through her training, Xenith, to her's and others' utter dismay, started to have strange hallucinations, so the two were offered the job of Junior Weyrwoman at Isle Weyr on Earth, which required a very different type of training. After many speeches and cross examininggs, she accepted. Soon after that acceptance, she was welcomed into the ranks of Journeymen Weavers, which she was very thankful for.
She was taken to Ilse Weyr soon after, where she learned to speack Japanese so as to be able to converse with the local governments. However, they thankfully usually spoke to her in English, for she never truly was literate in their language.
She knew that the first Earthian Weyr was in the country of America, but she has not yet been able to go there. For, first, she was to continue and finish her training.
Her first Flight ended when Brown Jackaloth, the Weyrleader's dragon, caught Xenith. The Gold laid a small clutch and the rider, several months later, gave birth her her son.
Dragon Name: Xenith
Dragon Color: Gold (f2eda1)
Dragon Defect/Injury: periodic hallucinations
Firelizard Name: Porli
Firelizard Color: Green (b5ef06)
Firelizard Name: Keno
Firelizard Color: Bronze (ead966)
Gold Xenith - Xenith is as daring as Hers, and would do almost anything on a dare. She is decidedly tomboyish, but not too much; just enough to offset the extreme girliness of Hers at times, though the roles are sometimes exchanged. She is extremely protective of any of her children, and will hurt anyone - or anything - that she thins is trying to hurt them.
She has hallucinations at times, believing she sees and hears things that she does not, such as thread or strange monsters, or other such legends. It has made her very unreliable at times, but no less loved.
Green Porli - Porli can hardly be called a green. Unlike other greens, she is independent, smart, orderly, and overall rather gold-ish.
Bronze Keno : Keno is a stange Bronze, rather faternal and kind to the wide range of greens and golds he has Caught, as well as the children he has sired. But otherwise, he is quite hostile to those he doesn't know, and will go so far as to cross examine the mates of whichever males have mated with his children or with his ex-mates.
