~I have permission to take over for Kye and give him an illness.~
Iggent sighed as he walked down the smooth hall towards the common room. Kye had gone and caught something called the 'floo' and was unable to hold a lesson for the candidates before the hatching began. Because Iggesk was the next oldest wher and Iggent the Bronze's handler, the task of teaching the wet-noses fell to him.
As Iggent entered the room, he noticed he was the only one there. Was he early? What time did Kye set the time for the lesson anyway? Did Iggent even have the correct date?
Growling, the ex-thief stalked over to a chair and plopped down in it. If he was early, then all he had to do was wait for the candidates to show up. If he had the wrong day, then all he had to do was leave after a candlemark or two. He could entertain himself by watching the 'tee-vee' thing the Earthens were so enamored with.
Iggent really hoped the candidates showed up soon. He didn't know how to change the 'channel' and the Earth news really didn't interest him in the slightest.

Being at the weyr for a brief couple of days didn't mean Keltin was excused from the wher candidate lesson. He was more mature than that. That was stupid, skipping a lesson, especially an important one. Keltin had learned that the lesson was to take place in the common room, and with Bronze Handler Kye. Whom he had yet to meet. In fact, the candidate had yet to meet any of the other handlers. His time was fairly taken up by getting settled. It would be a smart move to get to know them, would it not? Giving himself a nod, Keltin stood up from the desk in his room, and crossed the floor to exit.
Now where was the common room? Keltin glanced down the hallways on either side of the doorway he just stepped out of. Which way? The candidate vaguely remembered something from his first day. He came from the common room, and entered to the... Left. Assured of his decision, Keltin took a right, and headed down the empty hallway, his boots making loud and obnoxious thudding noises as he walked. Perhaps his boots were a little too big for him? He navigated through the corridors in the way he hoped would take him to the common room. He did have to stop a passing cook though, to get better directions than his memory.
"Thank you," Keltin said with a dip of his head, and turned around. He had apparently passed it on his search, and missed it by one hallway. Keltin backtracked until he found the door that he had stupidly missed. He opened the door and stepped into the room, expecting to see Kye, but he had no clue what he looked like. Instead, he saw a man watching the moving pictures on the wall. And a few other people scattered in corners of the common room, but Keltin didn't care much for them.
Keltin boldly stepped to the man's side. "Excuse me?" he ventured, "The wher candidate lesson is here, right? At this time?" Keltin placed himself to the side, out of the way, but right there so an answer wouldn't be nearly impossibly to achieve.

Virika was headed to the Common Room; again. Of course, this time it was for her own lesson. Specifically the Wher lesson, and she wasn't going to miss it in the least. No chance above or below. There was nothing that she wanted more than to Impress one of the magnificent Whers she had seen. Especially after having met Lakeen's bronze.
Virika smiled as she walked in and noticed she was not the first one there. That was always good. She hated being the first to anything, unless it was a concert. But even then, it had to be a really really good band to get her there before anyone else.
When Virika noticed that it was not Kye watching the TV, she was surprised. Then she was even more surprised to find that it was Iggent. She wondered if Kye would be coming and the two of them would be mutually teaching the lesson. But at the same time, Virika didn't want to ask. She took a seat in one of the overstuffed chairs and awaited the leson to begin.

Guin had been excited to hear about the Wher Candidate Lesson. Sure he had been at the Dragon Candidate Lesson, but most of what the Candidate Master J'kent wanted to teach was in dealing with dragons. However, Guin was not staying there to Impress dragons, Guin was staying at the Weyr because he wanted, no dreamed of Impressing a Wher of his own.
After he had done the chores that were assigned to him, Guin had gone back to his own Candidate Room and made himself clean and presentable for the upcoming Wher Lesson. Wanting to have a good Impression, he arrived a tad wet and damp with a white sleeveless shirt and a pair of denim pants with a black cloth belt to hold his pants to his waist. On his feet, he was wearing a pair of white ankle-length socks and a pair of white Sketcher sneakers. His hair was just towel dried and still had enough water in them that his hair started to drip after a a few minutes of standing still.
At the Common Room of the Candidate Rooms, he saw that he was not the first to arrive. He saw Iggent watching some news on the TV. Another guy was seated in one of the chairs near the entrance of the Common Room. And a girl, also seated in one of the chairs. Taking his cue from the others already in there ahead of him, Guin took a seat in one of the available chairs.
((OOC: I wonder if this is before or after Kara's Hatching.))
