Okay. Phazzy, Houka and Froggie know about Athena since they have already joined. But for anyone else who wants to join can go ahead and do so. This is mostly to brainstorm about what Athena needs and to get it started. Phazzy - Can you type up guides and color info for me? I think I have two guides up, and I can tell you anything you need to know about the colors. Froggie - Can you get sprites made with all the colors and the patterns? Sprites that we can use in the color guide. Houka - Can you make character templates? Anyone else that reads this is more than welcome to assist or suggest anything. ^-^ athenaweyr.proboards.com/ |

If you want to give me the general specifics of each color, then I can type up a guide, no problem. I'll need size range, personality, who they bond to, and gender... And I think that's it.

Here are the color specifics
Gold: 38-42 feet long (Ramoth was 45)
Bronze: 35-38 feet long
Brown: 30-35 feet long
Blue: 25-30 feet long
Green: 20-25 feet long
White: 15-20 feet long
Silver: 35-39 feet long
Copper: 40-44 feet long
Black: 30-36 feet long
Purple: 25-30 feet long
Pink: 19-24 feet long
Gray: 17-19 feet long
The canon colors are the same pretty much. All colors Impress to women, and men only Impress very sledom. Men can Impress Bronze down the list and Copper down the list.
Golds and Silvers rise to mate at around 2 years, greens at 1 and Pinks at 10 months. Bronze and Coppers rise the same as golds and silvers, Browns, Blacks and Purples rise between 1 year and 20 months. Blues rise at about 10 months as well. Gray and White do not rise. Bronzes do not chase pinks or greens, ever. Any other color will chase any other rising female.
Golds will rise once a year, Silvers twice although they will only clutch once. Greens anywhere between once and four times a year, and Pinks easily double that. Greens may sometimes clutch, mostly duds but with one or two dragonets hatching. Pinks may clutch small clutches, but always duds.
The new colors are pretty much the same physically as the canon colors, but leaner. Pinks can outfly greens, as can purples, but purples have as much stamina in flight as a brown.
Time caused the color mutations. Greys are eggs that became too cold and just barely hatched. The darker the grey color, the closer they were to dying. Some off black colored dragons result from eggs that were carried between.
Golds can clutch any chromatic color, but only gold and bronze metalics and only one gold egg. Silvers can clutch all colors, with as many as three gold eggs.
Canon colors are exceedingly rare. the percentage of canon chromatics hatching is 1/32 of a new color hatching. Metalic percentages for canons are even lower. White have never hatched yet, but it is capable of them to be clutched and hatch.
There are two sub colors, Panda and Tiger striped. Panda is where the color is mainly white background with the spots of color the dragon would be. Reverse panda is the same, just with a main background of color and spots of white. Tiger striped is any color with black or white stripes. The stripes must stand out obviously. A black dragon with get white stripes. A pink dragon will get either, depending on the shade of pink.
Flitters and Whers go by the same color scheme.
Personalities for canons are the same. Other colors are listed below. Feel free to add in or take out something.
Silver: Generally testy, territorial, dignified, Possesive. When they have a clutch they are attentive, motherly, devoted.
Copper: Overall fatherly, patient, and encourgaing however they can sometimes be high and mighty and harsh
Black: -add in what you want-
Purple: -add in what you want-
Pink: -add in what you want-
Grey: Generally calm, confident, anti-social and sometimes flighty
So you know, our main plot line is the dragons pretty much stopped Impressing men and only Impress women. The men have been inslaved... Whole Amazon thing going on.

Athena sounds like something I might play with, but ye holy gods, please change the color scheme. It burns the eyes.
Otherwise- it sounds interesting, and I could always use a bit o' fun.

I have the same problem Red does. Also, if all of the Candidates are women, you might want to edit the line about clustering girl Candidates around the queen egg  . |

Hm. A little better. It doesn't hurt the eyes as much, but it could still use some unification. The colors don't really.. fit together. Like they're just there.. If you know what I mean.

I've seen far worse. Two come to mind.
Dragher Weyr, which never did get more than three players (vertical candy stripes). I don't know if the skin killed it, but the *concept* sure shouldn't have.
Telgar Weyr, where the admin thought it a great idea to stream her playlist in the skin. No, you could not turn it off, mute it or anything. 'Play here, listen to MY choice of music'.
