He lived his life doing what weyrbrats do best; causing problems. When he was old enough he stood at the junior weyrwoman's gold clutch. But he failed to Impress. This happened four other times. Finally he was asked if he wanted to try his luck at a wher hatching. It was there that Jesso Impressed bronze Jessosk. They spent ten years at Igen, doing their share of night watches and such. Jesso had become good friends with a brown rider from Earth, Tamahome. When Tamahome transferred they stayed in contact through their flits. When Jesso received word from Tamahome that they had made a second weyr, and they needed a wher candidate master, Jesso asked the Igen leaders if he could go. Within the week he and Jessosk were spirited away to Isle Weyr.
