Rather than use Topaz's hex codes and birthday thread for updates, I thought everyone could use this thread to announce something to the forum. Yes, this thread is usable by everyone, staff and members. Feel free to use this thread to announce the hatching of your flitter's clutch, your dragon's Flight, clutching, touching, etc. Anything you want others to know about, post it here! If you could, refrain from general chatter. C: It keeps the thread clean.
And the first announcement: to all new wherhandlers, I'm moving profiles to their respective places. Don't forget to update links in that regard. Thanks. C:

Storm Plot Update! Rocky's moving forward with the storm plot! As many refugees as possible have been saved, and taken to the weyr. The floodwaters have receded, and those residents not staying at the weyr have returned home, to rebuild and repair. The few people that stayed at Rocky have either become candidates (and Impressed at the latest hatching of Jadavath's and Crucith's clutches), or stuck around to become used to weyr life. As such, the storm that Faizah rushed into to help the unfortunate souls caught in the flood did more harm than good for Rocky. The sightings of dragons, not to mention the survivors returning to town with stories of giant flying beasts, have drawn in reporters and journalists from all over the country. Faizah and Kain have requested that the residents of Rocky keep on the down-low, staying cooped up inside the weyr, and not allowing dragons to fly for extended periods of time. Because of the recent confinement, the residents of Rocky Weyr have become restless. As such, some have created plans to sneak out of Rocky Weyr. Will the plans end in triumph or disaster? |

A Candidate Questionnaire has been added to help the staff pair up candidates with dragons/whers suited to them. When creating a candidate, you are to also post the corresponding form in this thread so that the staff may look at it. The form can be found under the profile template for candidates. In the future, all candidates must have a corresponding form posted in order for them to be accepted. |

I thought I'd mention that we now have extra areas for your characters to roleplay in. Check them out by scrolling through the forum. While these are rather closed off in terms of which characters can actually get to them, we hope to open the boards to more characters in the future! Until then, stay tuned for some exciting plots.

If you requested an egg from Green Missy’s clutch, then your character better get to the sands asap to claim their egg! The hatching has started, and one fire lizard already broke the shell. Make sure to have your character on the sands to claim the egg that was reserved for them.
On behalf of Faizah, I apologize for the lack of updating on the monthly award winners. Faizah’s been having a little trouble, and I hardly think I classify as an admin, so we’re not exactly up to speed with anything. Houka’s been missing for a bit, but hopefully we can get the weyr back up on its feet in time for Raynith’s and Isath’s hatching?

Soon Venus's first clutch will be clutched in the sands somewhere hopefully, so start thinking about whether or not you want to get on of her eggs!

The hatching for Gold Reyna's fire lizard clutch has started. All unclaimed eggs in Reyna's clutch have been set to "Random". This simply means that they will Impress to anyone, even if said person already has an egg reserved. If you want a chance at Impressing one, get your character down to the sands.

There have been a few changes made to the Mating Flight Rules. You can find the post about them here. As a reminder, those who have candidates that Impressed should update their profiles to reflect this (adding in dragon information, changing titles, etc). Profiles will be moved when the hatching has concluded. Isath/Raynith Hatching Update! During the commotion caused by Eturynth's jealousy, four eggs have been stolen from the clutches. One rider has already gone between, while two linger. From the scuffle, two eggs were cracked open, but the dragonets were alive, and managed to Impress to their respective bonded. Who are these riders, where did they come from, and what will happen to the unhatched dragonets that were taken? |

All weyrling profiles thus far have been moved to the weyrling section of approved characters. If you have any links to update, please do so, as well as make sure your dragon's information is added to the weyrling's profile. Thank you!

Monthly Awards Update October 2010 Monthly Awards are now up. Moreover, the Staff have decided that starting this month, November 2010, Monthly Awards will now be voted upon by the members. There are only two simple rules. - Members can only receive one award per month.
- You cannot vote for yourself or your own characters.
During the last week of the month, members will have a chance to vote upon their favorite Roleplayer, Character, Dragon, Wher, Flit, & Pet including the reason why they should get the award. Rules Update In case members haven't been periodically checking, there have been some additions to the Rules/FAQ/Limits. The additions are in yellow text. |

Attention Candidates You now have been given chores. Please make sure to do them either with your designated group, or by yourself if you don't want to interact with the other Candidates. However, we would prefer that you at least RP your Candidate and interact with the others. The Candidate Chore List will be changed every two weeks. If you have a chore you'd like to suggest, then please let us know about it. |

We will also be implementing a new Plot soon, so we will be having an activity check until February 2nd[/u]. Please remember that if you do not post in the activity check, all your characters will be "killed" in the upcoming plot. Also, if there are some characters that you do not want to keep, let us know in the activity check. We will be glad to "kill" them off for you as part of the plot! |
